and i would be one of those happy ppl i agree with you, kind of half and half, the only way they would be able to pull it off with out it ruining the show would it happening in the last ep of the series, but sparks would fly!! ugh, i get all mushy thinking about it! lol

it was kind of funny for them to be awkaward around eachother though, like a couple of teenagers who have a crush on eachother, but come on writers!! we need closure!! and it better be good, youve screwed up in the past, god help you if you screw up on this

I've actually thought about this too and here's what I've come up with: Towards the series finale, they show Elliot increasingly angry, agitated, and pretty much the way he was back when he was separated from Kathy. He dismisses Olivia every time she asks what's going on with him. Then, in the very last episode, he appears calmer than usual, although still a bit somber. In the final scene, we see him knocking on her apartment door while holding a large-sized envelope in one hand. She opens her door, surprised to see him there. He gives her a small smile, and lets him in. The screen goes black; then, credits roll.

Since I know there are others vehemently opposed to them getting together, I thought a more ambiguous ending is more SVU's style.

That movie was crap. The whole thing was suspensful and I liked that aspect, but the ending was so horrible. And sure, it made way for a possible sequel because of all the plot holes, but seriously who is gonna watch that sequel? I know I wouldn't.
But, it could be good for a stoyline on SVU; a guy starts calling women and they end up raped/dead maybe? *shrugs*

I'm not sure if this is the right thread for this, but I was wondering if anyone had the clip from Closet where Elliot and Olivia are having a drink at the bar. I missed that part and I was hoping that someone could post it on youtube. I'd be eternally grateful.

Funnies? Like....ummm...err... Lol. I'm fresh out. Maybe it's cause it's freaking 2am. I need to go to beeeed. But before I do, I have to say that I finally got to watch Authority. And there was a post on the previous page which took the words right out of my mouth. About Rook saying he wanted Elliot to feel the pain he felt - the pain of losing the person he loved the most. That was wonderful.

And I think that EO are this atom that is so close to combustion it's driving everybody crazy. I'm still not sold on Elliot being happy at home. He loves his kid...he could have a kid with a frigging homeless person and he'd love it. Doesn't mean he loves Kathy, no matter how many times the writers think playing it on a bloody loop is telling me otherwise. All of Elliot's kids are old enough to know that a divorce isn't their fault and that if it's best for their parents to maintain a civil relationship, then so be it. And Eli is too young to be affected - it's not like Elliot would disappear out of the scene completely anyway.

So have them realising as civil adults that their relationship is nothing more than a glorified friendship, because they will never, ever, understand each other emotionally like EO do. I don't care what anyone says. Heh....maybe the time is catching up with my brain. But I think it would be hot once they hook up. Can you imagine the hype leading up to the episode? Or the preview?

VO: Next Tuesday, on an all new episode of Law and Order: SVU. A case involving a college co-ed and a dark secret will test Stabler and Benson's partnership like nothing before.

You’re right. Elliot would love any kid that is his. That’s just the way he is. I love his character for that. He’s such a good guy. And if Elliot and Kathy don’t work it out, that would never, ever change.

Glorified friendship. It does sort of seem like that now, huh? Elliot’s trying to work it out. And I hope he does…with Olivia, (thought I was going mad there for a minute there, huh? LOL) after he finally realizes that the love he has for Kathy and the love he has for Olivia are two separate entities and the love he shares with Olivia is on a whole different level than the other. I think it makes sense to believe that he still loves Kathy. I don’t think that he’ll stop. I just think that it has changed. People change as they grow older. Who Elliot is now and who he was at the beginning of their relationship isn’t the same.
