I was sitting in front of my computer watching an EO vid and thought: I don't think they ever intended Elliot and Olivia to get together in the beginning of SVU.

But what I don't think they counted on, was the amazing chemistry that Elliot (CM) and Olivia (MH) would have as the main protagonists. Not just as partners but as potential lovers. They probably started SVU with a nice idea of having Elliot a happy family man and Olivia a single woman until the end; but then they realised they got more than they bargained for in CM and MH's natural dynamic. They're probably kicking themselves now, because the amount of attention the show would've gotten with them together would've been huge. But they're written themselves into plot holes so big that I don't see them digging themselves back out without completely ruining the show. Sigh.

On a happier note, how great are all the fanfics out at the moment at ff.net? I was reviewing all afternoon! Lol.

Wait a second. Where did you read 'there will be no E/O?' Mariska has gone back and forth with this question of 'will they won't they' throught her interviews. So has Chris. Neither are able to keep their answers straight. Mariska sometimes says that they have sexual chemestry and then turns around in another interview and says she doesn't think it will ever happen. Chris does the same thing. At this point in time, I don't have much hope of it happening and if season 10 doesn't start out good, Im not even going to bother watching the rest. Not true, I might. LOL! But I won't like it. *stomps foot and whines* I hate the writers for leading the E/O shippers down a single path then suddenly slit in two. What the hell was the point of the divorce if all they ended up doing was to get Elliot back with Kathy? I think now...I am just going to stick to watching the show and not really ship for anyone. I am still an E/O shipper but I think the fan fiction is where it will have to remain.

Once a shipper always a shipper and when u are watching the chemistry between the two will always grab our attention and we will hope a little. sigh
But I believe in Elliot Stabler and Olivia Benson and Love is still the greatest force in the universe and they love each other even the blind can see that, or is it...? I won't even venture down such roads.

My mood in regards to EO ebbs and flows a lot. Particularly when there's no new SVU...or an EO drought. But I can tell you that even if Dick Wolf came out tomorrow and said "we've decided that Elliot and Olivia will never be more than partners and friends" I would still watch SVU, I would still write fanfiction and I will STILL be an EO shipper. Because I know that there is more to them than the writers are brave enough to explore. Idiots.

That's not some place we are going to go. Kathy is too important in Elliot's life to let anybody take shots at her.

If you don't like the disscusion then stay out of the Elliot/Olivia shipper thread. Not trying to be mean and I am sorry if it comes across that way but this isn't the place to bring up how 'important' Kathy is to Elliot. That kind of talk belongs in the Elliot/Kathy thread and not here. You should know by now how Elliot/Olivia shippers feel about Kathy and if that bothers you then you have somewhere else to go.

I totally agree. I don't really want to give the Pullman character a chance. People may say that E/O is not going to happen, but I am adamant that they do belong together regardless of what others think. It may sound juvenille, but I want to see Olivia happy and I want to see her happy with Elliot.

Like I stated in the thread before, boyfriends in Olivia's life come and go. Bill/Kurt doesn't bother me, though Kurt is kind of a lame name. The writer's couldn't come up with a better name? He will most likely be gone in a month. IMO, Kathy is the one that is keeping Olivia and Elliot apart. I just can't get over that. She is the issue and as an E/O shipper, Kathy needs to go. As long as she remains married to Elliot, Olivia and Elliot can never be. She's the threat not Kurt. That's why a boyfriend in Liv's life doesn't bother me.

I agree 150% she needs to go. Why could she have died in paternity? Or in Alternate? I don't dilike her I just think I hate her. And I think she needs to go. You know I try to like her give failing marriages some hope. But staying together for the kids is just pure wrong and that what hurt the most, after a while when the children are grown there is nothing left!

She is, IMO, the only thing keeping Elliot and Olivia apart. But...whatever. If the writers wanted to re-direct shippers away from the idea of El/Liv it worked for me. The only reason I even watch SVU anymore is because of Mariska.
