Blinded- Kathy sits at Elliot's hospital bedside and is watchful over him- calling the nurse and Olivia (for arguement's sake) that he's awake. Elliot acknowledges Kathy's presence before Olivia greeted him. Elliot realizes that something was wrong and called out for Kathy's name, holding her hand tightly and to his chest (don't be surprised that I notice these things!). While the Dr. filled both Olivia and Don in on Elliot's condition, Kathy remains at Elliot's bedside, holding hands while he slept. Later when Casey visits Elliot, he seems relaxed, happy, joking around and relieved that he's getting better, especially to see again. The main panic of Elliot's after realizing he couldn't see was when he realized that there may have been a possibility that he would have never seen his child born and the thought terrified him worst.

Once again it comes back down to Eli. And what really would it look like if he called out to Olivia. Uh can I say sleep on the couch tonight

Paternity- In the bathroom, Elliot bathed Tommy while they spoke about the baby, remembering that it had been 15 years since they last bathed their babies and realizing that they were going to do the same. Kathy thinks she's having a girl while Elliot secretly wishes it's a boy but overall it doesn't matter as long as it's healthy. Later on, Kathy filled Elliot in about her appointment and how her car is in the shop, needing a ride from Elliot, as well as being a part of the appointment to check on their baby. Of course, Elliot's mind was somewhere else. Understandably, he asks if his wife saw anyone while they were separated. After all, Kathy did get pregnant while Elliot hadn't moved back home yet and were on the slow road to reconcilation but of course, Elliot is fully aware that he had slept with Kathy before he moved back home and knowing their history, using protection is rare for those two. Elliot stared at the belly at night, thinking about it and feeling that no matter what, his connection to the baby is strong enough for him to love, protect, and willing to raise it no matter what as he does love Kathy. Later, while on the phone to both Olivia and Kathy, he asks her to phone him about the checkup afterwards, sure it's a typical behavior to do and that's what we expect from the husband to say to his pregnant wife, it shows that he does want to be informed about the health. Then Fin tells Elliot about an accident with Elliot rushing to the car and calling Don's phone to talk to Kathy, letting her know that he's on his way to the hospital by helicopter in order to be with her as quickly as he can be before saying I love you to her. Why he didn't call Olivia or Kathy's own cell phones, it's possible that both got damaged from the accident or unreachable under the damaged dashboard that had Kathy pinned. At the hospital, Elliot rushes past Olivia to get to Kathy and the baby- typical behavior- he was doing what a husband should do. From the look on his face, he's relieved to see Kathy alive and, although bandaged some areas, not in a life-threatening situation no longer as she's hydrated and the baby is alive as well. The accident could've gone worst for him- the thought of Kathy dead terrified him, he already lost her once and there's no way he could manage to lose her again. As for the baby, Elliot was already in love with him, introducing himself as his Daddy and trusting Kathy's word that he is indeed Elliot's son- her answer for his question if he was the father from the night before. He knows Kathy, he knows that she wouldn't yank his chain, especially when it comes to their children. In past episodes before, while separated, Kathy had notified Elliot twice about Dickie being hospitalized (Quarry) and being suspended from school (Cheorographed) among others.
And once again it comes back to elli. If my husband was in a fatal car crash, I would have gave him a kiss, not a nose nuzzle. And then he hugged olivia and said "your okay"
Now let's examine some episodes that Kathy didn't appear in but was mentioned (somewhat)
Savant- after interviewing parents who have 'special needs' children, Elliot grew concern for his unborn child's health, realizing that Kathy was over 40 where risks are highly involved. This carries out to Inconceivable too.

Svengali- Kathy texted Elliot to get her tacos and peanut butter, her cravings- typical pregnant wife behavior.

Fight- Elliot told Chester that the job nearly cost him his family, obsessing too much over the cases that affected him personally into his home life

Snitch- The Immigration agent lady asks Elliot where he have been as she hadn't heard from him in a while (as they are 'friends') and he informed her that he's back with his wife. The IA lady was happy for him as she knew that would happen eventually- it appeared that whatever went on between Elliot and the IA lady went okay- Elliot was still hung up over Kathy.

So where exactly was the marriage sang "crap" to it? All I got was typical marriage woes and a couple who are trying to give a go to their second chance, even if it happens to push them quicker then intended for the baby- but Elliot knows how his life would be if he didn't have Kathy in his life after the two years without her there.

This whole point came back to one thing. Eli. And we know Elliot loves his children and would do anything for them. Now answer me this. How come when kathy came back at 1st and asked elliot to come home, he stutteres and looked like he was going to reject her. E/K shippers have skirted around that from the get go. That's where the crap comes in.

Wow, I probably should of read this before giving Mary a pm about the episode recap and how there is no crap...because I could of posted that here. Anyway I will say what I was going to say.




So if Elliot was a great husband and "wanted to be home" (according to the E/K shippers) he would of finished his paper work as quick as possible, and gone home. But he didn't...he offered (Chester didn't ask for help) to help Chester and stay instead of going home, or at least finishing his paper work.

Mary, I was reading some of your other posts in the other forums. I totally agree with you about the crap marriage and I am glad someone is out there defending it. So don't worry about what others are saying, I agree with you if that helps any

I started to read one of KatRose's, but my sister started to have contractions so we had to go to the hospital. I may just go back to reading it, because what I read was really good.

I love the uproar that we caused Mary! Whoever can tell me with a straight face that Elliot and Kathy have a great and stable marriage deserve a medal, cause it's crap. Both the marriage and the ability to believe it.

A lot of the author's on ff.net send me their stuff before they post for me to read over, so I'm up to date with Dig, Something More, Hallmark and the others. Also, watch out for Sarah's easter special coming up soon (elliotNoliviaSVUlover) which is really awesome. I never really got into Chronicleofabutterfly, the bad grammar turned me off. But I love Katrose's stuff, and of course the other lovelies that post on ff.net.

It was up for about three seconds again today, but I was at work, so I couldn't read. Also, I'm sick! The weather is so random that it finally got me and I think I'm coming down with the flu. Sigh. I think I need to vent in another thread...is that Closet one still fiery?

Not really. It's kind of died down a bit. But...I am sorry you don't feel well. I am in a similar boat but my issue is my sinuses. It was like 80F degrees yesterday and is about 69F degrees today. I'm going to die young, I know it. If the weather doesn't kill me the stress will.
