Which was the bunny rabbit scene from Sin. I was reading it and almost went crazy. The priest asks Elliot "what's stopping you from coming home" and before Elliot can answer, Olivia walks in to the perp saying "hey, Detective Sexy!" That is awesome. It's almost like they're indicating that Olivia's the reason he won't go home. But then again, it could just be me in my little EO bubble. God, I love this bubble.

BANG! Yeah, I'm back. But not for long. And no, I'm not going on hiatus again, I just have work. Lol.
This week off the board, despite me adoring you guys, has been great. I've been able to live in my little EO bubble without anyone telling me it'll burst. In that time, I got the final chapter of Senses done! Woohoo, check it out here:

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3915430/7/Senses

Ask and ye shall receive the EO goodness. So leave me a review and let me know what you thought ok?

Board looked a little boring without me! HA! I joke. I think my not-even-week-long-hiatus was more to do with the sugar high i dropped from on Monday. I was a little cranky to say the least. And I like how everyone's very Voldemort about the situation. That-which-shall-not-be-named. Lol. And now they've started an EK thread? LOL! How boring will that be! It'd be like...remember the time where she left Elliot cause she's an idiot? YES! Well, I also remember the time where she took advantage of Elliot and got knocked up, that was pretty SPECIAL right EK shippers? WAIT, WAIT! I remember the time where she BEGGED him to come home cause she had the evil child! That was much better. LOL. Oh, it feels good to be sarcastic to other people. Doesn't quite have the same effect when you're talking to yourself.

Thanks LuvDenise for the lovely PM! Anyhoo, I'm outy.

Lol omg that has certainly made me laugh for once today,we'll see how it blows over But they deserve their own thread so they can go there and talk EO crap all they want. I tried to leave, but I couldn't stay away from this thread so I think i'll just chill on this one for a while and actually here something positive for a change on here.

Hey Welcome back!

Same here! I was a bit disappointed they didn't include that part in the 'Sin' eppy. smile.gif

Oh yeah, HGFM, thanks for posting the link!

That's much better...well excpet some of those eppies have Elliot going home to Kathy, so I don't...know.....hmmm...inhale 'Wunderlust" exhale -....."that one in the first season where they touch arms" inhale "Hot dog episode" exhale.....DOH I don't remember the names of the eppies I like. That's not cool James....

I think you misunderstood the exhale part. What I was going for is that we inhale the episodes that we like and exhale those that we don't. You know like, we inhale oxygen because it's what we need, and not carbon dioxide, which we exhale. Did I make that more confusing? unsure.gif

Hey mrslee! It's nice to have you back. What's that you say? A new chapter of "Senses?" Woo-hoo! (BTW, when I review your stories, I leave it under "blogworm@emailprovider.com"). I'll check it out.

Not to bring any negativity here, but I noticed that there seem to some bashing going on about the EK group. I know they tend to make fun of us and think we have wild imaginations. However, is it really necessary to do the same to them? That doesn't make us any better than those who mock us. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is let them have their own thread. In that way, they can get their rants and raves out of their system to avoid conflict elsewhere. Just offering my nickel.

Exactly, that's why I haven't said anything despite some of them already being rude. As long as they keep it in the thread they can do what they want.

I'm on the fence between E/K && E/O right now.
Because as much chemistry Elliot && Olivia have..
it's getting EXTREMELY tiring waiting for something to happen.
&& watching Olivia wait for Elliot to leave a family he loves
so deeply && truly is starting to depress me.
So, I don't know I'll go either way right now.

It's just I'm trying to be a reasonable person.

Anywho, I wish everyone was as reasonable as you lol. I try to be, but...I can't be lol.

I think I finally figured out why I'm an EO shipper. It's not because I hate Kathy at all, but because Elliot is all Olivia has, and as a women, I hate to see her have nobody. They have been together since season 1 and all the promo pictures have them flirting with each other like somebody said on here, and what do people expect us to think. I mean Kathy was the one to say "Elliot I'm done and I'm leaving". So then was the prefect opprotunity for Elliot and Olivia, and then they crush it all down the drains when somebody (Elliot) can't keep it in his pants, and goes for a booty call. Way to go, Elliot.

true. why would a woman in her right mind dare leave her husband and take their kids away? she should be lucky to have elliot. was she insane??? elliot is such a man with a faithful intent as a husband. in all episodes i have watched, there is no other woman he goes out with except olivia, just for a coffee or any other events, i know. it's not that i hate kathy, but i just don't understand why she stood up and just left him? they can always talk over the differences, you know. she should support elliot no matter what.

Well now that they have actually gotten back together I totally agree with you that breaking them up would be forced and weird and terrible for the kids.

But ...there's always a but,--But however I do think that had they gone the divorce route - and not the ELi route- it would have been fine. I've said this before, but my parents got divorced when I was little and although it was crappy, I would not be the same person had I not been influenced by my step-mother. Everything happens for a reason. And I feel like the show kind of copped out by keeping them together. I felt like the divorce was more realistic and also- giving us more dynamic and excitement. Divorce happens and some divorces don't end unhappily either. I think Elliot and Kathy would have handled it well.

Yet they didn't go that way. Now that they've chosen EK and Eli, though, a divorce and EO would be or is going to be rough, which is why I think we've all been fighting so much lately. THere really is no good defense for Eo at the moment. Sorry. I hate saying that. But there's not. There used to be and now that there's not, discussion about it with non-shippers becomes personal and losable.

Don't get me wrong. I still love Eo more. I will never be an EK fan even if the stupid writers want to kill EO for all of us!
Pash on them!
RollingStone
I think they threw E/O out the window..
But there's something in me that wishes E/O were a couple.
Elliot && Olivia were the reason I fell in love with SVU.
But I keep thinkin' what if my father were Elliot..
I would knock him out if he went out with Olivia.
Ok, not knock him out but scream till I passed out.
&& every couple has it's issues small or large.
Idk, I'm waitin' on the writers to work something good out.
So that everyone can end up at least a bit satisfied when this
show ends.

Me too, but sometimes it's for the best.
Maybe Kathy && El splitting up will be for the best.
Or maybe their staying together will be for the best.
The writers better put their noggins to work,
because the outcome of their writing will affect
a show.

I know many couples that stay together for the kids, but all they do is fight which makes living together stressful. Im my opinion, it would be best if they stayed seperated, but he was still invovled in the childrens lives.

Do you all think that Elliot should have found out that Olivia came back sooner from Oregon but wasn't ready after seeing him with Dani? It does add to the ambiguity of the E/O relationship though. Random thought, I know wink.gif

I think it was that she thought Dani replaced her in Elliot's life. Olivia saw Dani as her replacment. I think she was angry that Elliot forgot about her and moved on soo fast. Not that they have anything romantically invovled, but that they had such a complex relationship, and he just moves on that easily. She was hurt, and since Elliot was all she had at the time, I don't blame her one bit. But only if Olivia knew that Elliot didn't want another partner at the time and only if she knew that she was his "precoius Olivia" I don't think she would have been mad.

Unfortunately, it seems like the prevailing message today is "not only is my happiness more important than duty, its more important than anyone else's happiness". I think duty isn't given enough importance.

Sorry, back on topic. Although I'm not an E/O shipper, I definately see the chemistry between them.

Don't be. I mean, thanks, but like I said, my step mother was one of the best things that happened to me. I would be a shy awkward depressed human being without those influences and had my parents stayed together. So, that's one of the biggest reasons why I feel that anyone who opposes divorce %100 is just being silly. Doesn't mean I think people should get divorced left and right, but things happen, people change, and when two people are terribly unhappy they make their children unhappy.

I think Olivia is just what the Stabler family needed. And even now after it seems that they've killed the divorce plot, Olivia is still there and much needed.

She seems to be the person he talks to about family and home issues. There have been several episodes where Olivia has brought the family back to Elliot. The birthday cake scene. There's also a scene right before El and Kathy split up where El and Liv talk about it in the hallway. It's in like the 6th or 7th season. Liv tells him that Kathy has a point and to be more understanding and to go be with Kathy. As much as we all like to point out that Liv is in love with Elliot, she's also had some great moments where I think she deeply cares about Elliot making his family situation work out. She asks about Maureen's college forms in one episode. She knew about Kathy's doctor appoint and reminded him about it. She cares about this family. It's as if it's her vicarious family. And she's kind of been like a second wife to Elliot.

Really, Olivia is the friend that gives good advice and looks out for the well being of her friend, but that kind of thing trickles down to his family and his relationship with his wife. My husband and I have had a few huge issues come up throughout our relationship/marriage and without a third party to keep us in check or to bring us back to our senses it could have easily ended in divorce. I have no doubts in my mind that without Olivia, Elliot would not have gone back home.

She even reminded him how important family is in "Philadelphia". She saved his wife's life. She was the first person to hold Eli. She's made a big impression on the lives of the Stabler's and I think it's becoming more evident as the years progress.

It is bittersweet how Olivia puts Elliot and his family's needs before her own. However, it does tell you the kind of person she is.

So.....arrr...I know this is hypocritical, because I want everyone to be able to voice their opinions, but does anybody else want to vomit when they long on and see that "Thread that shall not be named"?

I'm sorry, but I refuse to warm up to the idea of EK. They strung us along for all of these years to do this to us! If the EO doesn't get better by the end of this season, I'm out. For shear fact that I refuse to watch a show that killed the best thing they had going for them. And for tricking me.

I wonder, does anybody know how they get the ratings? Like do you have to be watching the show live or do the numbers count if you're DVRing it. Cause technically my TV isn't on when I'm DVRing it. I might start rebelling now by not watching the show live. This all sounds so petty, but I want them to know how badly they just screwed their ratings with this EK crap! The ratings haven't dropped yet because I think people are still holding out, and there hasn't been enough time for it to sink in. I wonder how the strike will effect the ratings too?

Anyway, I know that is all very petty, but I'm kind of tired of the EO's being crapped on and ignored this season. I want TPTB to know what a crap job they've done and that they better damn well fix it!

The scene you are talking about is from Monogamy which was back in Season Three. We find out Kathy left in Doubt in Season 6. In both cases, Olivia has to go after Elliot to find out what is wrong with him.

The Nielson ratings are compiled by by monitoring a statistically correct number of households at random. There are devices on their televisions that record what is playing on the television. There are logs where the members of the household record what they watched. They have started measuring the DVR usage and found there is a significant amount of time shifted viewing. In 2006, the company announced it will be revamping its system to better reflect all types of viewing .
Television ratings in general went down for a while during the strike. But the ratings for SVU have remained fairly consistent through Season 9. There is a thread here where they are given. The ratings for Season 9 are up from Season 8. I had posted those numbers but I don't remember what thread they are in.

What I'm doing is putting myself in their childrens feet.
How would you feel if your father gave you and your mother
up for another lady?
After all those years..?
I mean, it's not like I'm now a E/K shipper or anything.
It's just I'm trying to be a reasonable person.

My parents were divorced when I was about 12 years old. They fought all the time and were never really trully happy. I am not speaking for all children sweety, but I was actualy glad when they called an end to the painful home life my brother, sister and I were stuck in. When my dad remarried, I saw him, for the first time in a really long time, smile. He was truly happy and even though I secretly wished that he and my mom could have been that happy, I knew deep down that they couldn't. I was happy for him. I think that if, and I do mean if, the writers had just left the divorce alone and the seperation took, the kids might have been up to seeing their mother and father happy with someone new. Olivia and Elliot could have remained partners until season 10 came around. The writers did not 'have' to write Elliot wanting to go back home and getting Kathy pregnant. They did it for a reason. The reason is still unclear and that is what is driving me nuts. unsure.gif

Oh I am sorry to hear that. My parents are never divorced, so I can't feel the pain those Stabler children are having right now. They, too, don't discuss about their jobs. Like Elliot does. However, I met lots of friends who are in the same situation. I can see their pain every time they hear their parents fight. Sometimes, a husband or wife won't let their child near to either one. sad.gif To be honest, I didn't want Elliot to go back to Kathy who had hurt my favorite cop in the first place.

And...there drops another fly. We lost another E/O shipper folks. This board is really starting to be painful. dry.gif

I don't think you have to worry...the shippers will always out number the non shippers...lol...at least that is how it has been for the last three years I was on the board... wink.gif

She was the first person to hold Eli.

I thought Kathy was the one who got to first hold Eli right after he came out- she was able to hold him, relieved that he was alright, healthy, and crying (which is a good sign for a healthy baby!) before she crashed.

Wo, holy frack.
I try reasoning with both sides && your
already kicking me out?
GEESH.

People, don't blame me for sitting on the fence.
It's the writers fault.
When Kathleen said "Dad, mom is not a booty call"
Elliot was thinking about it.
He could either leave or stay.
But, then Kathy got pregnant && it just murdered everything.
If only the writers actually could get opinions from fans to
make the show better I think I might've had a soluti
on.

But, people don't assume I'm an E/K shipper.
E/O is what got me interested in SVU.
I just love that E/K have their own thread now.
&& their posts mean alot as well. I love knowing
their reasoning for being E/K shippers.
&& the things I agree with I post. If I don't agree I don't post.
It's simple.

I don't think anyone is kicking you out. I just think you love 'love.' LOL! I'm sitting with you 'on the fence.' I would love Elliot and Olivia to acknowledge their feelings for each other but at the same time I can see how much Elliot's family means to him. If it falls apart again, I'm not sure he would make it. But...only time will tell.

Noone's kicking you out hun. I went through a Elliot Kathy shipper faze in 06, so it's understandable. If you want to ship both that's your business and you have the right to, so don't let anybody make you think different okay. Sometimes I still see a little of my E/K side come out, but i'm to hard core E/O.
