THis observation is a little random but I figure teh EO board would be the best place for it. So ever since Mrslee pointed out that El and Liv, wear Navy blue alot in her latest fan fic. I've been taking notice of the clothing. SO on NBC today there is a pic of them on harm. Can we say navy blue?

Hey Scarlett! Thanks so much for pointing that out. I've noticed that too even in earlier seasons, especially how Stabler's ties tend to match Benson's tops.

It's little things like this that detail the relationship and then they wonder why everybody is all up in arms about EO. Okay, the matching tie and top, don't make them soul mates, but how many times have you matched with a co-worker? Like never. This little enuendo on top of their already complex relationship, and I can't help it- that is so- meant to be material...literally.

I know, I love that.

HECK YES. I've so noticed that. They do that on CSI:Miami too. Its like AWE THEY'RE MATCHING! Hm. I wonder why? Hint hint wink wink. SMIRK.

Jenne YOU would use the word clutch! LOL! It's not so much Euro as it is old fashioned. Like people in the 1920's through 40's said clutch. But now it's not really used and I'm not sure if it's because we just don't carry small purses as much as we used to or if the word has evolved or both. That or I'm surrounded by uncultured hoes, because besides my grandmother, the only time I've ever heard that word used outside of a play or movie is by my British/Aussie friends. So when Laura wrote that in her fanfic I had to point it out. She totally could have kept it in there, but I had a good giggle over it. It's like Olivia grew a British accent and grey hair. "'scuse me darhling, let me pop into the lou and grab my clutch. Then we can sip a spot of tea over the open Barbie with some spotted dick and my good mate, Jefferson."

AHA! LOLOLOLOL!!! I use clutch instead of purse. My friends are like..."HUH JENNE....WHAT? ARE YOU GOING POSH ON US?!" They're all idiots. Nah. They arent.

How many times have I matched with a co-worker? Umm... Well, one time I did. I didn't really notice it until one of our clients (by clients, I mean teenage girls in the group home we work at) pointed it out. It's just a coincidence that we were both wearing blue (yes, I know, that color again.. strange, or a really popular color) at that time. I don't even remember if we were wearing the same shade.

I was bored and decided I'd do this now. We're all whining at the lack of EO, so I decided to look at the episodes from season 7-9 and their corresponding episode to see if there was any more or less EO. Surprisingly there is the same amount of EO. Have a read through and see if I'm missing anything, this is all from what I remember. I think we still have a lot to come. Oh mrslee- lovely list. I don't know how much it proves, but we had A ton of EO in season 8 though. I think EO is dead. I hate to be the downer or the barer of bad ideas, but I just can't see how they will ever hook that up after the last few episodes. It's becoming more and more Brother and Sister every week. I can't take it. Totally annoying. BAH!

They both are! Lol. Maybe it's ANOTHER new thing the writers want. Idiots. Are you talking about Sin? When Elliot's talking to the guy, the man says "you meet another woman that doesn't nag and just makes you feel at ease". That's not verbatim, but it's along those lines, and Elliot gets a wistful look on his face and agrees. I like to take that as meaning Olivia is the other woman, even if everyone else disagrees. That's my interpretation anyway. And then there's the part with the priest who hints that Elliot has talked to him about Olivia in the confessional in unpartnerly ways. We'll never find out what he says, but I'm sure it wasn't about what to get her for Christmas.

Oh and the episode was about that Preacher who had a gay son...and the gay prostitute is found dead and they suspect the father killed him because he was his son's boyfriend. And he takes the blame, and his wife goes mad cause he does and tries to kill him, but the son didn't end up killing the prostitute....eh. The episode was a little boring.

Thanks! I remember now. I associated the other woman reference with Dani, since Belliot had played tongue tango with her. I watched the episode, but I guess it didn't stick in my memory very well . . .

sadly, i have to agree with you scar.
after paternity, is when i faced this fact. how can eo ever be, when olivia was so sweet with kathy in paternity.............saying stuff like "i'm right here sweetie/honey..." and kathy was all "olivia please don't leave me...." when mh said this episode "cemented" their relationship, i guess she meant that this eppy is/was the point where elliot and olivia officially stepped into a bro/sis role, in an irreversible,
set in stone (cement) kinda way. very depressing, i know. i just don't understand why the writers would do this, so early, i mean assuming season 10 is mh and cm last season.............like scar had mentioned, why not keep the tension going till the very end (or nearer to the end). why kill the tension now? and why don't they just give the people what they want.....eo! everybody asks "will the characters ever hook up?" in every interview, so obviously it's a popular idea. who cares if el and kathy have been married for 20 yrs and they got a handful of kids, or if it goes against the characters' morals..............as mh said in her mini role in lake placid "the heart wants what the heart wants".
i agree that kathy dieing would be the only thing to save eo. from her deathbed she should say to olivia, "you're the only one i trust to take care of el and the kids" then eo lives happily ever after. but, since that ain't gonna happen, i guess we just have to settle for this bro/sis crap and make the best of it. i still love svu,though. i like that someone mentioned that el and kathy's relationship will start to sour because nothing has really changed between them (only eli). does anybody else have any words of hope?

I think the writers will soon (very, very soon) realise what a mistake they've made. I'd give words of hope, but there's nothing much to work off. There aren't any spoilers and no indication of what direction the writers are going in.

But needless to say, I still believe in EO. Because it's way more beautiful than EK could ever hope to be.

The only problem is that the ratings are out the door high. Unless a butt load of complaints come sailing through the SVU doors, I don't think they have reason to change their minds.

A dose or two (or three...) of EO fanfic works for me. Plus, a few reruns or at least one of the good old episodes a day even though there isn't much shippyness to them also help. Then again, some of you probably do that already... Sorry, don't have much suggestions right now.

As for words of hope, well Scarlett, the strike's giving writers ample time to think. Hopefully, Neal Baer, while he's on the negotiating committee, took some time to ponder options as to which direction he'd want the show to go when he's not sitting on the bargaining table.

This is still a TV show after all. I'd like to think that anything can still happen.
