well janx.. it's not everyday one meets a native floridian..lol.. i am glad to know one and you represent your state admirably.
Parch.. first of all i think you are under the mis-conception that I am male.. or gay.. I am niether. although I have nothing against males or gays.. i know quite a few of each that i like very much.
Did I come off Gay?? Funny - but it seems that all of my life I've had Gayness around me. That - and Mormons. My neighbor across the street was a bishop - a genius and a brilliant chess player. He took the Mensa test, passed it in about 15 minutes and found 2 answers that the test writers failed to find.
I only had any experience with Gayness recently. I'm hoping it helps me relate to females better . . . I'm mostly hetro.

and as far as southerners being *too* religious.. well I have a problem with the view of being *too* anything.. personaly I'm not a very religious person.. but to say someone is Too religious.. would seem thier beliefs affact me in some way.. and it doesn't , so, instead of being *too* I would guess they were just religious enough for themselves..
I am from alabama.. but I've been to tennessee many times and if I had to choose a place to live other than my home.. I would be very tempted tp pick your new home state. It's beautiful and.. unlike alabama.. they do experience all seasons.. and get snow!.. we rarely get any of the white stuff here.
Alabama sounds cool. Snow is nice - can't wait to experience my first winter with snow . . . being a former California Native.

sounds like you are experiencing the best of the south.. and you are right.. people here are very giving.. most anyway.
so california owed you something and didn't give..shame on them.
i frankly can't imagine what causes you would be working with that californians would disapprove of.. unless you were conspiring with terrorist or something.. was that it?
anyway.. welcome to the board.. look forward to many communications.
*bug*
I am experiencing the best of the south, the folks are giving (I just got a kiss from that frauline, in fact) and, no, I didn't want money for terrorists heh. I've read some of that Koran and while I don't find it incredibly hateful, they do mention a certain, "wrath" that will hurt the, "nonbelievers" a lot.
Not as much as Pat Robertson says, but it certainly does have that theme. Weird, man. The Christian Bible seems to say that doubters are just nerds - not an enemy that has to be squashed. I tend to think that way so I'll never be a terrorist enemy of America.
Thank goodness. Most Americans are cool and I'll always love 'em.
