The teeny boppers scare me too. They are fiercely defensive of E/O. I don't think they could have the different ships like we do with out a full out board war. We are at least civilized and know it's not that serious. tongue.gif

There's an E/O thread (can't remember the title) over there, where a lot of the posters said they really couldn't see E/O in a romantic relationship. And the language wasn't so... like, you know, *whatever*. ;-))

Maybe those posts were made while all the teeny-boppers were in school or something. cool.gif

I confess to being an avid E/O friendshipper. But, still - no smooching, no boffing. :-)

I must say I see and E/O relationship more than a G/E, but I think its written that way.

I was SO gonna say that, but sometimes I run into some defensive G/E shippers here who think the "UST" between G/E is as intense as between E/O. ;-)

I think yer right, the characters on SVU are a lot more touchy-feely with each other than ours on CI. smile.gif

Well on SVU were are into there personal lives so much, we get Olivia and Elliot on the stairs in the middle of the night with Olivia telling Elliot that he is the longest relationship she has ever had with a man.

We don't get that with G/E, we got them having a drink, while waiting to question a witness.
We get all of SVU out together drinking socializing.
We don't get that with MCS.

So we would think well maybe with E/O
But with G/E we don't get that peak into their personal lives outside of work, we don't even know if they socialize outside of work.

We DO see a lot more of E/O outside of work. I'm ok with that, I'm used to it.

So... since we don't get many peeks inside personal lives on CI,
maybe G/E *are* doin' the nasty, we just never see it! tongue.gif

Nope. Sorry. I was an X-Phile, but not even I can suspend that much disbelief. wink.gif

I get that you don't want CI to turn into SVU, just acknowledging the differences.

Was reading Cosmo the other day, 100 thing you didn't know about men. Had to laugh at a few, most were geared to the younger guy, which I have no interest in. But one thing caught my interest. Since all this interest about Bobby and his sexual desire. So I have been trying to watch his fingers. Cosmo claims, that men with more testosterone, which increase desire, can be identified by looking at the mans fingers. Their ring finger is longer than their middle finger. Which I might add in one magazine said was a way to tell if a man was gay. My husband isn't gay, lol, but his ring finger is shorter than his middle finger. But they said men with square jaws and more "manly features, bruts" would have longer ring fingers. Well VDO seems to have a shorter ring finger also. Now I have been going around looking at mens fingers, just out of curiousity. I haven't found anyone with this long ring finger they speak of. So, I am doubting cosmo, lol, So just wondering, does anyone know someone with a longer ring finger or seen one on TV, with a longer ring finger than middle finger. Been trying to catch Chris Meloni, but then I figured actors probably wouldn't have them, But seems Stabler the character should. Oh well this was an interesting way to bump a thread at least. Just consider this a scientific experiement.
jcsavestheday
I saw something on the discovery channel about how ring fingers that are long (but not longer than the middle finger) has something to do with testosterone. I don't think that there is a such thing as longer than the middle finger. I think that it is the proportion to the middle finger, like if it is close to being even with it.

I had never heard of such a thing either, don't know where cosmo gets there stuff. Seems that would come from birth, Then what about guys who take excess testosterone. Do there fingers start to grow? lol.

well I do know excess testosterone causes acne. So I guess if you see a guy with a lot of acne check out his fingers. My dermatologist told me thats the reason women breakout during the time of the month. Seems our estrogen goes down and we have more testosterone in our blood.

Oh, I remember the days...I pulled a 72 hour run my sophomore year with a friend of mine in my design class. We had our final project due that Friday and only the top 15 out of 40 made it to the Jr And Sr design phase of the degree program. Thanks goodness her husband was understanding 'cause he brought us a coffee pot and a constant supply of snacks and clean underwear to the architecture studio we were holed up in. We both made it through, then years later ended up doing other things! Go figure.

Hopefully soon after the new year I can buy a new laptop. Mine was stolen in Jan and I just haven't had the funds available for a new one. My problem is that I want one with a 17" wide HD screen and a big hard drive, DVD recorder etc. Plus my neighborhood is not DSL wired according to Qwest (WHAT?) so what's the point futzing around with dial-up anyway?.....Oh yeah, now I remember why I can't afford one. Heck No!! A few years back my bro and I played badmitton on X-Mas day in our shorts! I have to drive about 30 miles up to Mt Lemmon for snow. However, last year during the AFC championship play-offs it snowed, no it was a blizzard by Tucson standards, for 7 hours straight!!!!! Knocked out the satellite feed of the Colts game! Tried to drive home to catch the rest of the game and missed my own damn street 'cause I couldn't see the street sign! Thankfully the Colts won and we got to have a wicked snowball fight after. The summers are brutal though!! I'm certain Spontaneous Human Combustion happens here! 117+ is Hell on earth! The only time the summer is tolerable is during the monsoons. Yeah it's muggy but there's nothing like the desert after a good storm.

I thought the hug was fiiine. Mariska Hargitay called that scene a "cementing" moment in their relationship.

I didn't think of it at the time - perhaps she meant "cement" like in the cement overshoes that mafia types used to use to sink dead bodies to the bottom of the river. mellow.gif

I think, if nothing else, Elliot will always be thankful to Liv for saving Kathy and the baybee.
