Wooooow, Kimberly, did you take those? Those are incredible!
Warrick is dead. . . Warrick is dead. . . . Warrick is dead. . .

I did not take all of those, no. I have tons opf pictures though, since I am a bit of a photography addict...now get me close to VDO with my camara and let me lose!

Great pictures of Michigan, Kim. If I was going to go to the States, I'd probably pick Washington DC, NYC, and maybe Utah & Wyoming. Speaking of vacations my parents are in Sheffield, England for a few days visiting my uncle and other relatives before they spend the rest of their vacation in France. Then my sister is going to Hawaii for a few weeks. I'm just going to be sitting at home relaxing and wondering about how I'm going to pay my VISA bill. That's the only bad thing about quitting a job you hate: no money.

Thanks...Virginia is also a beautiful state. Maybe its me, but I like hills and valleys and waterfalls and streams...its comforting to me to be surrounded by nature.

OK, I'm jealous of Kim's pictures. There are lots of spectacular sights in CA, but I concentrated on close to home. Everyone knows about Yosemite, but not so many know about Sequoia Kings Canyon. Its not too far from me. In fact my sister and brother-in-law have 40 acres bordering the national park.

What would we be without the Giant Redwoods?

And of course, everyone has to drive through the tunnel tree!

Wonderful pictures...the waterfall is gorgeous and I have only seen little redwood trees, when we were at Lake Tahoe a couple years ago. I would love to see those huge ones!

Hills? Wow, We have to drive a long time to see hills, or mountains down here, But Bridges, hey we got a lot of those, we have so many bayous and waterways, your always crossing a little bridge here, The east and west side of town is separated by the intracostal waterway, I remember when my son was an infant, he is 25 now, we had a hard freeze, which we hardly ever get so we weren't prepared for, I had to go get him at my mom's who was on the East side, now the East side is like an island, the only place to go is the Gulf of Mexico, everything and the rest of the world is on the West side, well we made it to the East side, Well at that time their were 4 ways to get to the East side, two low lying bridges, an over pass, and a tunnel, well the tunnel was out, the overpass was frozen, the two bridges were ok for us to get over, but by the time it was time to get back they had frozen over too. The East side was cut off, from the rest of the world till morning, lol. So what did the smart Houma Government do? They torn down the two low lying bridges and built another overpass, luckly in the last 25 yrs we never had a freeze like that again. But... who knows. Luckly I live on the West side, but mom and dad are still on the East, lets hope the south doesn't go into an ice age, lol.
Two hours till my doctor appt.
Did I ever show you my Pink plantation? Its near my house, Called Southdown Plantation. Its a museum now.

I love the style of the old plantation houses...maybe I am a southern bell at heart?

I like the Crunch ones.

This looks like the forest surrounding the city of the ancients in FF7. I wonder if Northrend will have a zone like this when Wrath of The Lich King comes out? That would be spectacularly awesome. As a native Floridian I have never actually seen snow in person.

Albino deer. That's awesome! They're so pretty! I hope if you have a hunting season in your area they don't shoot them... I know hunting is good in moderation to keep the population controlled, but with their bright coats I'm betting it makes them bigger targets.

Did you take this one? What an amazing shot.
I know what my state is shaped like... Maybe we should get an infuriating pink sheet for it?
Snow...thats mild compared to what we get in the UP(upper pennisula). My gram raised my dad was out in the boonies, about 20 miles through the woods from Lake Superior. She had old slides of the winters there. The house looked like a snow drift with windows. She said you would open the front door in the morning and have to cut a way through the snow to go to work. She had tons of old black and white pictures, it was just beautiful. She did say she hated being chased by black bears, from the clotheslines or the outhouse!
As for the albino deer, most do not live very long. As with any albino animal they tend to have other health issues and also stand out too well, so predators can easily pick them out.
I have other hummingbird photos. but I have to look back through the cd's we put them on.
Okay hopefully these wont be too big...see next post...
