Oh ya, he's definately interested in you again. Give it a chance, you never know...you already share a religious faith together, so that's a bonus!

My son-in-law said, "Hey, he's 50 and has probably realized that the 'perfect conservative woman' just doesn't exist." OK, I'm a little slow sometimes. It wasn't until I got home that it hit me--was he saying that this guy is interested in me only because he finally lowered his standards? blink.gif
Actually, my son-in-law is awesome and loves me dearly. But I think I need to call him and give him a hard time about that comment. tongue.gif

Well seems my simple typing on a picture has offended and hurt another which I didn't mean to do and I don't understand why, thought the shipping and Non shipping thread was suppose to be fun, gunna take a few days off again, getting hit with PMs, over something I think is trival, but guess is not to her, talk to yall later.

Jryan out again.

Talk it through with her, Jryan, I think you'll both be ok with it if you understand each other. We know you wouldn't intentionally offend anyone. As a "creator" (of humble fanfic :-) I wouldn't want anyone monkeying around with "my" words. I'm weird that way. Ask my former mentor. smile.gif

Guess I need to go figure out why someone got upset. I've thought all the pics I saw yesterday were funny.....please don't let these things get to you so much. No one here has the power to control the board, run anyone else off, set the rules, etc. Be bigger and stick around and be your nice, sweet, self, OK?

Hurrah, i am celebrating the victory of gravity over my body today.... reason being I have been bed and sofa riden with the flu since Friday evening and today have finally managed to stay upright long enough to be able to type this message.
I even managed to eat 1.5 boiled potato and a carrot today and the food is staying down well!!!
On to tomorrow I say.. heaven knows I might be able to make it down the street to get myself a pint of milk.

Sharing is what we do around here Lenore!

Here's something I'll share--I'm not sure what I think about it.
There's a man in my church--my age, never been married, had a bit of a wild youth (although he won't talk too much about it). This guy is a VERY nice man who loves the Lord. A few years ago he and I kind of considered the possibility of going out (he told me he had been "looking my direction" laugh.gif ). But as much as we like each other, we have some differences of opinion and differences in lifestyle. We decided we were good as friends and should keep it that way. He later met a woman and fell HARD for her--even went to Canada to meet her family. I seriously thought when they came back they would announce their engagement. But they didn't--we only saw her once or twice after that and suddenly she was gone. He lost weight and was obviously in distress. Much later, he confided that she dropped him and started dating a really good friend of his in a neighboring town. She married the friend about a year later. That's been a couple of years ago and he seems to have gotten over it.
So, our church did an evangelistic series (5 nights a week for 4 weeks), and so we were at the church a LOT. I was on the prayer team, so I would be upstairs in the prayer room until about 30 minutes after the start of the meeting, and then go sit in the back to pray silently for whatever the needs seemed to be. This guy was one of the ushers, so he would go sit down right after I did. I sat in the last pew every night, but changed it around each night. Different sides, sometimes near the center aisle, sometimes near the outside aisle. But every night, he could come and sit next to me.
He's been complimenting me on my hair (which is way past needing to be cut), and my clothes (and last Saturday I thought I looked kind of crappy). After church on Saturday he wished me a happy Mother's Day and asked about my plans, and told me about his plans with his mother. Then yesterday, he called me at 8:30 in the morning to wish me Happy Mother's Day again. And then he asked about something we had discussed in Sabbath School the day before and we discussed that for a while.
Does that sound like he is "looking my direction" again? I'm not sure how I feel about that. My oldest daughter and her sister-in-law are thrilled. They've been hoping we would get together for a long time. My daughter thinks he would be a good influence on me and "calm me down" (like I'm SO wild). Her sister-in-law thinks I would loosen him up. Me? I think I have too much baggage (not to mention the Raging Teenager!).
Man, I do tell long stories, don't I? Oh shoot! I just saw the time! I gotta finish getting ready for work. I'll see you all later!

I love long stories. I do it too. It's difficult to say what you want to in a few words.
It definately sounds like this guy is interested in you again. If you like him I say go for it. At least let a relationship start and see how it goes. You obviously have something in common. Your in the same church. Besides it makes life more interesting if there are differences. As far as your teenage daughter goes, anyone who has children is either going to go thru what you are, is going thru it or has been thru it. I haven't been married for a lot of years. There was a time when I thought I never wanted that again. Now that I am retired I am finding life a little lonely. Where I live there just aren't any available men that I would want. Maybe one will drop from the sky someday. What I am saying is don't be alone if you don't have to be. Give this guy a chance. Definitely don't pay any mind to what your son in law said. He probably didn't mean it as it sounded.

This forum is a great help in alleviating lonelyness and giving us an outlet for our feelings and thoughts.

Psychology. Hooray for knowing how people work. Or trying to figure it out at least. Easy to see why I'm a Bobby lover. Besides his ultimate hotness of course.

As for being overdrawn, I asked if they would send a notice before they took out the money since it only comes out once every 3 months, but I didn't get anything. Otherwise I could have transfered the extra $15 from my savings before the bill was taken out and saved $35 in fees. As for right now, I'm just happy I can A. cover Warcraft when it comes out this week, and B. have money for another loaf of bread.

Got an interesting comment sent to my blog...

Is anyone here having trouble getting into The Reel Vincent D'Onofrio site?

I can't get in if I go to http://thereelvincentdonofrio.com (i.e. their main page)

But I have no problems if I use the shortcuts to their blog: http://www.thereelvincentdonofrio.com/reelblog/reelblog.html

Or the direct link to the main website: http://www.thereelvincentdonofrio.com/index1.html

I just remembered something that might help with your quitting if these pills don't do it. A year or so ago when I had a little plastic surgery on my old face the doctor insisted I give up cigs 2 wks before and 2wks after. He prescribed an antidepressant called Wellbutrin. A couple of days taking these and the cigarettes taste terrible. I didn't continue the med but I did stop smoking for the required time. It was important to me that the surgery go well.

Now you all know one of my deepest, dark secrets. It wasn't a major lift, just a thread lift. I am a little disappointed in the results. I should have done the real lift. As with everything else money is an issue. Maybe someday. I hope I don't get too many bad vibes from this confession.

Bad vibes?? Whatever for?? I'd like a smaller butt, but doctors arent my thing...so I am stuck with the one I have. Its your body, your choice... wink.gif

I think that REAL dog poop is the reason the reason her mommy's doggie is now staying at Tasha's home in the first place.....

Yeah well...they do make dog repelent...our house has a sidewalk out front for the public...everyones dog crapped in our yard...sure I get mad and have to clean it up...but I bought repelent that I sprayed and now it doenst happen. Better than killing them...

I say they deserve it for being so cruel! sad.gif

Tasha - he's gorgeous. I have a 15 year old Border Collie (Chance) - which is old for a border collie. He's hard of hearing, can't see very well and follows me everywhere but as long as he's not in any pain, I'll hand feed him until I need to put him down. I can't understand how anyone can abuse children or animals. It makes me so angry!

there are three things that truly piss me off....child abuse, senior abuse and animal abuse....

I always knew we'd get along wonderfully, cluck. I totally agree with you.

I've packed my suitcase with marshmallows and plastic forks. You put marshmallows on the tines and shove the handle into the ground. Looks like snow.......How about some fake doggie doo?

OK - this is a little gross, but considering the idiot that tried to hurt Tasha's mom's dog, it would be fun. Have you ever heard of a "BLIVET"? You put real dog poop in a brown lunch bag and put it in front of idiot's front door. Light it on fire and RUN! When he opens the door, he stomps out the fire and gets poop all over his feet.

I've never done it but my father told me about it when I was younger (he and some friends apparently did it to someone who had been mean to someone in their neighborhood). Somehow, that would be more suitable than fake doggie doo. wink.gif

i agree anyone that hurts an animal is evil and should have it done to them !

I don't understand why there aren't stricter laws on animal abuse. Animals cannot defend themselves other than to bite (and then they are put down!). It's not fair. sad.gif

I'll bring the eggs! laugh.gif

I am bringing the rotten tomatoes.
I have a real problem with people that don't love animals. My daughter, who lives in Fayetteville, Ark. had to give up her dog because of a nasty neighbor. Guess who ,now, has the dog. Me, of course, and she is a joy to me. The added benifit is that my daughter visits more often now. Comes to see her dog.

Tasha he is beautiful. He looks like my daughter dog, Nina.
I love the Blivet idea, thats a good one.
Judyg I hope you never have to put your dog down. It is so hard. Maybe he will just go to sleep one day.
Here some pics of Buddy, the dog I recently had to put down. My son and I are still grieving.

My son said Buddy and my grandaughter have the same expression in 2nd pic.
I went to the door the other day to call the dogs and called Buddy 3 time before I realized what I was doing.

Thank god i have a big house!

my mom called me a few mins ago to inform me that her neighbor tried to kill her dog ( a 9 yr old lab) for comeing on his property ... now she needs to find a place to take him til she can find him a nice home ...and of course since im a HUGE lover and have a nice fenced in yard she wants to bring him here ... he is a strictly outside dog .. very quite and sweet .. he will be staying in my back yard or a while.. my mom is going to pay for his food cos there is NO WAY i could afford to feed another dog when i am already feeding one black lab mix, one lab/boxer mix, and my tinny chihuahua..soo i guess for a while im going to be having a visitor .... man i hope this works out ..

I would have killed the neighbor, I don't think I could have stopped myself. At least he has a great home with you, for now!

It's not so much as people having to love animals--but i wish the people who didn't like them wouldn't try to take away other people's animals that people love.

Boudreaux and his wife Clotilde went to the state fair every year. Every year Boudreaux would say, "Clotilde, I'd like to ride in dat there airplane."

And every year Clotilde would say, "I know Boudreaux, but dat airplane ride costs ten dollars, and ten dollars is ten dollars."

One year Boudreaux and Clotilde went to the fair and Boudreaux said, "Clotilde, I'm 71 years old. If I don't ride dat airplane this year I may never get another chance."

Clotilde replied, "Boudreaux, dat there airplane ride costs ten dollars, and ten dollars is ten dollars."

The pilot overheard them and said, "Folks, I'll make you a deal, I'll take you both up for a ride. If you can stay quiet for the entire ride and not say one word, I won't charge you, but if you say one word it's ten dollars."

Boudreaux and Clotilde agreed and up they went. The pilot did all kinds of twists and turns, rolls and dives, but not a word was heard. He did all his tricks over again, but still not a word. They landed and the pilot turned to Boudreaux, "By golly, I did everything I could think of to get you to yell out, but you didn't."

Boudreaux replied, "Well, I was gonna say something when Clotilde fell out, but ten dollars is ten dollars."
