I've been thinking Air Force--i'm definitely going in as an officer.
The marines made me a really good offer the other day that i keep thinking about though.
I've always wanted to be in the Navy, but thats the worst branch for women.
Crazy stuff.

Don't you have to have a college degree or have gone through ROTC to go straight in as an officer? Or are they that desperate these days?
Air Force is good for sciences and aerospace, Marines I couldn't say. I'd have to agree that the Army probably offers the most choices, but lacks the specialization that other branches do.
Marines do work closely with the Navy as was mentioned.
Your recruiter is in sales not counciling. If they promise you ANYTHING, make sure it is in writing in your contract before you sign anything. Doesn't matter if it's an extra piece of fruit at chow, get it in WRITING. Anything that's not written when you sign might as well have never happened.
Read everything with your mom before you sign too. Two pairs of eyes can catch more loopholes than one.
In other news: Yesterday morning I was lamenting not getting any hits on finding a roommate or a place to live. I got an email in the afternoon about a place I had emailed about on Monday. I called the guy and talked to him, saw the place, hung out a bit, and it's pretty much a done deal that I have a new roommate!
I have to talk to his step-dad about the money stuff (his mom owns the condo) today, and fill out an application with the condo association, but as long as that goes well, which my new roommie didn't forsee any problems with, I have a lovely new home. It's only a couple of miles from where I live now, really just on the other side of the highway, and puts me even closer to my job.
Now I just have to have enough money to take my kitty to the vet so I can clear up her sinuses. I don't know how much it'll be, but I don't want her sneezing all over the new place. Poor runny nose kitty.
