Me too! My husband often asks me if I know what I'm doing. Most of the time the answer is no. (Unless it has to do with CI like guest stars that we see in something else. I can tell him what epi they're from and the plot.)
I often find myself in a room knowing that I am there for a reason. I just have no idea what the reason is until I leave the room and then BOOM!!!!

Light Dawns on Marblehead.

(silly saying I know but when I was a kid my friend's father used to say it and it always cracks me up.)

Speaking of being sidetracked I was going to come on here for a "minute" before i went to bed and that was at 11pm EDT.
Good night all. Sweet Dreams

Night hullbound...seems like we have some things in common! Heehee

Me too. I get side tracked so easily it drives my husband nuts. I can't blame age tho-I've always been that way. blink.gif

Same here & I've always been like that too (adhd maybe?). I have to make daily lists to keep myself on track...only I keep getting distracted by the dang computer (such a wealth of information it provides ya know!) smile.gif

My thought, too......If she did, wouldn't give her any time here at all for quite a while. The thought of Valley going to Iraq, NO< NO< NO! But, if that's what you really want to do.......

My daughter's hair was like that too. We knew it was time to cut it when it could have potentially have dipped into the toilet while she was sitting. Every night we would sit and have "de-pully" time. I tried every de-tangling product ever. Ever a power brush/detangler. My husband and I would take turns getting out the snarls. After we had it cut, it was like "Why didn't we do this sooner". She was happier too. It's healthier too being shorter.

Tasha -- I'm always here this early.....see all the dust around me......lol....I should clean every morning right after the kids leave for school, but NOOOOOO...the message board just cries out to me "Flashymom, read me.....read me......post on me.....post on me.......play here......play here......." and I succomb to the temptation and my day is shot to he**.......

I have talked to Judy, I think she is still around reading, so she probably sees your messages, I haven't gotten a reply for spook, she might not be back, Judy might come back when new episodes return, How about filling there PM's with love and support and pleas to come back.

I am sorry this is happening to our boards. I am irritated by it all too. I am sorry that all of this is ruining it for other board members as well. I wish we could all unite against the ill changes of our fun place.

We need some dedicated mods instead of Admin trying to do everything all at once around here.

I don't completely understand why people are this upset either, but I respect that some folks are. As I've said before, time will heal everything.

I wish there was a way that someone's age would have to be shown on there post, but then again, they could lie. I would love to know, who I am speaking to, it would sure explain a lot. As for why people are mad, all you have to do is read, and I think it has to do with a lot of age difference issues, and I think if people knew what generation they were talking to it might help. Also I think alot of the newbies are not reading the etiquette thread.

Why can't things slow down some for just a little while?

Because my current temporary manager just asked me to find some forms in his email I saw a note about how our district manager is going to be expecting all the assistants to do sales as well.

I can't do sales. When I was hired for this job, I was told I wouldn't have to do sales. I might have to call customers sometimes to check on accounts, or ask why people hadn't ordered in a while, but I wouldn't have to cold call or do real sales.

Maybe I could muddle through on the phones, but if they expect me to go to the offices (it's business to business) I just can't. I'm just too terrified of dealing with strangers like that. I can do customer service in person wonderfully, and I can talk to people just fine, but the thought of trying to sell something just gives me the worst case of social anxiety you've ever seen. I can't talk, I'm so nervous I shake, and I'm sure I'd just start crying in the parking lot. It's such a strong reaction that I can feel the stress physically.

Trying to find a place to live and now this. I'm sure my district manager wouldn't think twice about getting rid of me if he thought I wasn't doing what he wants.

so sorry to hear that, I will pray that things look up for you, Some people are natural sales people, my brother is like that, he can charm and sell you swampland,

As a teenager, I took a job for charity, selling trashbags, now this is for charity, I couldn't sell a one, I was let go by the end of the day, Its just not my nature, I take no for an answer. Probably not what you need to hear, but one of the reasons also, is it was a room full of people reading from the same script, and I couldn't tune out the other people, so If I would be reading the same thing as someone else, I would get a case of the giggles and just have to hang up on the customer also, I was only 16 at the time, luckly I was still at home and didn't really need the paycheck.

I used to just be soft spoken and take no for an answer. Then I got older, realized I was fat, and now I can't even bear to face people to try and sell...

How do you get a job at the post office? Is it a hard job? I always thought of trying because from what I hear once you get a government job, unless you're a total screw-up or something, your job is pretty secure.

Small world, working for the post office. I just left the PO about a month ago after working for them a little over 2 years. They were working me as much as a full-timer but weren't giving me any benefits like insurance (which I need). Are you a carrier or clerk??? I was a rural carrier. Had to use my own vehicle which busted, so that was another reason for leaving, lol.

considering I've been through 2 managers already, and they had no warning of being let go, I'm going to say... it's not too likely. If the managers don't perform up to the DM's expectations, he'll show up and let them go just like that.

I\'m sorry that things are so stressful for you right now Janx. I\'ll be thinking of you and hoping they get better very soon. I can totally understand you not wanting to do sales. Maybe the idea wont float and you wont have to do them or maybe you\'ll be better at it than you think. Anyway, best wishes.

Very nicely said bug. Debate is good. it gives you a different perspective to look at things from and can be fun if it is done as you say in a civil way. I don\'t even go into the shipping threads. They\'re not my thing. I hope the girls who left come back.

I always learn something.
now don't get me wrong .. jyran and i agree most of the time..and this place wouldn't be the same without her.
why did i not just pm this to her? well i just wanted to share with you all how it is possible to disagree and remain friends.. it's HOW you disagree... I would never consider my opinion the only one available.. and I don't consider myself right all the time...
so, jyran.. i dedicate this post to you and if i get flak for it.. so be it... it's not like i haven't before..lol

awww shucks, thanks fellow fan of the week, Hey when will USA call all of us Fans of the week up to NYC to meet the cast? I feel the same, and sometimes, I just blow things off, but you get those days, and someone says something to you and Bam and HB just hit me at the wrong time with the wrong words. And just like the unmentionable one of the past, their has been a few in the present, I have just taken to not reading their post, cause they just rub me the wrong way, I just need to be selective again. And I appologize for any disruption I have caused.

Yeah, trying to decide which branch. Big decision.

My thought, too......If she did, wouldn't give her any time here at all for quite a while. The thought of Valley going to Iraq, NO< NO< NO! But, if that's what you really want to do.......

Yeee, actually when the War first started i was really mad that i was too young to join. I wanted to be over there fighting.

What do you want to do in the service? That can make a difference on which branch you want. Did you take the ASVAB test yet?

I wish there was a way that someone's age would have to be shown on there post, but then again, they could lie. I would love to know, who I am speaking to, it would sure explain a lot. As for why people are mad, all you have to do is read, and I think it has to do with a lot of age difference issues, and I think if people knew what generation they were talking to it might help. Also I think alot of the newbies are not reading the etiquette thread.

I am 41 and going to be 42 the 7th of May. But I am a "young-at-heart" person and can be a bit silly sometimes. smile.gif

I always learn something.

Awww how sweet..

Debates are fun, unless people get upset or take offense when it wasnt meant as offensive..then it gets sad...
