Today, I saw something totally cool. I went to my library's book sale--didn't find crap worth buying, which is pretty unusual. So, I thought for a kick I'd go see their "special price" books section, even though I can't afford anything nice. So while I was in there, I found a set of Shakespeare's works. Red leather-bound, with gold lettering. Absolutely gorgeous. I'm not a fan of Shakespeare, and I don't even have a place for them but--man. Those were sweet. I felt giddy just holding them. Now I wish I'd smelled the leather and the way the pages smelled when I turned them--you know how you take a large section of the book and just flip them really fast so they make a whirring sound and you can smell the pages?

Anyway, the whole set was like $75. Pretty cheap for what they would get.

This is so funny I have two stories to tell, first I have a stalker! Well she is a 67 yr old woman. I met her in Exercise class, its getting so I hate to go to class, but I feel so better when I do, she talks constantly, at first I thought I would be nice, and thought maybe she is lonely so I exchanged stories with her, she told me about her niece having social anxiety same as my daughter, now she wants me to call her sister, well at first I just blew it off, and never talked about it again, well now she has given me the phone number, I just hate talking on the phone, and especially with strangers, but this woman is strange, but guess Sat, or Sun I will call and see what the sister wants to say to me

Now second story, I felt like I was in a commerical, I was in Walmart reading cereal boxes looking for high fiber cereal, and this young girl in her early twenties, says" Excuse me maam," I though I was in her way, so I moved back, Then she said," You have walked past me twice and you smell so wonderful, what are you wearing" felt like I should have said, I am wearing..... and held up the bottle, it was so classic, I had to think for awhile, I basically use philosophy mostly amazing grace, since I have migrains, I can't handle strong perfumes, then I told her I get it from qvc. I just thought it was so funny, I never been approached like that, too bad it wasn't a man, lol.

My sob story now is that thanks to being out of work last year, living on credit cards, and have no insurance when I was hospitalized, my credit rating is shot.

I need to find a new apartment, I don't know anyone that needs a roommate, and I'm not comfortable moving in with strangers.

I really have no idea how this is going to happen... I got my credit cards all paid off, but I still owe the hospital almost 20k... I suppose something will come through for me.

sorry gang I just needed to put it out there. I do have an appointment tomorrow to see if I can get some help for that bill, so hopefully I'm not totally SOL yet.

This world has gone crazy... airconditioners all over the universe are breaking down..... money problems are worrying others on the board and some people seem to be having identity crises.

Whatever your crisis.... I hope it al works out for you and that you manage to get the issues resolved/parts replaced. From the relative comfort of my sofa I wish you all the strength that you need to deal with your respective crises.

But on a cheerier note.... according to the Valetine Cat blog it is only 43 more days before you lot over in the US get a new episode of LOCI... here in the UK I will be approching retirement before that happens.

My family will all be gone away on vacation to Canada - except for my sister and my pregnant niece. I am hoping that they will NOT want to celebrate my b-day. My ideal evening would be me - alone on the sofa ::thudding:: over VDO without any interruptions.

Well, to be honest I have no idea. I get Hallmark channel via cable - they are very god at re-running seasons 1-3 but seem to be stuck in a time warp as it is ALL they do.When I go to their website I can never get to find out when any new episodes will be on. Then there is channel 5 and they are just re-runnig season 5 for now... hopefully one of them will in time get seson 6 out.
I have managed to get to watch some of the episodes online but it so much better to watch them on a normal telly.

Don't worry though. I am a tough cookie and can take it!!! I just keep myself entertained by reading all of your guys posts and getting a sneak peek at the previews as they air.

By the way, this is not my normal time for being on the boards. I am forcing myself to stay up for a little longer as I had a bit of a weird day. As I am typing this it is actually 1.00AM in the UK and I should be tucked up in bed.
Got up this morning feeling kind of tired but okay (been like that all week), went to work and had a really good and productive day. Cycled home and once I got home, changed into my civvies and then relaxed on the sofa....... out my favorite James Morrison CD on and fell asleep. I got home about 5pm.... if I take into account sometime for doing a few bits and peices in the house I must have been asleep by about 5.30pm.... when I woke up it was 9.45pm. I was still a bit out of it and tired so I put on my PJ's and went to bed... to (off course) be wide awake the minute I had comfortably cuddled up in my duvet and settled down to sleep. So I decided to get up and check my e-mails and here I am. I will be getting back to bed soon though. I'm going to see my family in Holland tomorrow and am flying out in the afternoon, and I still have to pack!!!!

Doesn't that always happen? The minute my head hits the pillow I have a million thoughts running through my mind and I can't sleep. However, as soon as my alarm goes off, I could sleep for a week.

My niece went to Holland in her senior year of high school as a member of the US High School Volley Ball Team. She was 1 of only 3 Pennsylvania students invited to join the team (what an honor for her). She LOVED it there and longs to go back. The photos she took were beautiful.

Janx - my door is always open. I have a 15 year old Border Collie who doesn't see very well anymore. Also, I don't know if it's because he's old or because he's male but he has selective hearing. I have a cat who thinks the house is hers and she allows the rest of us to take care of her. Oh, and that smelly son thing who shows up now and again when he's not working.

If you can put up with that mess, you and two cats would be no problem.

Dear TNCIfan, if you had posted this one year ago I would be asking you if you belonged to my church. Because we did the exact same thing last year. Also called Faith in Action Sunday and we didn't have church but went out into the community to be the church! This year we are again doing Faith in Action only it is a weekend program from Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon. This year's biggest project is at the County Home doing landscaping, building picnic tables etc. because they just don't have much.

Good luck on your Faith in Action and let me know how it turns out. Our denomination is Brethren. Since you are from the south are you Baptist? Funny how 2 different states are doing the same thing. Good luck!

No, we're Methodist (hold the jokes please). Since I'm on the planning committee, I know a little bit about this program, it's a nation wide program, so churches all across the country are doing. This is our first year, but so far we're really pumped up! (Now if only the weather will hold..)
