Went into OT and the Vols won by a field goal! YAY! I love the Lady Vols too! Come on down, and go to one of the games with me. My hubby's one of them, realtors used to play for Pat Summitt.

have you been through your control panel? you have a pic up.. but it's not the one you want? on your control panel.. when you scroll down to avatars.. there is a place you can actually take something you have from your own computer.. if it's not too big.. or.. you can put a pic in photo bucked and under resize... it has avatar as an option..so you can resize your pic to fit.. then you enter the *direct link* link for that pic..PM me.. I know this is all greek.

There have been whispers and rumors for a few years of the Red Sox going after A-Rod-Please NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Can't stand himespecially since the time a few years ago when he was running to first and tried to slap the ball like a girl out of Bronson Arroyo's hand.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v627/and...h/ArodPurse.jpgI hope they keep Mike Lowell but many are saying this will be his last season with the Sox.
What about Jacoby Ellsbury??? He's been amazing! Plus-totally irrelevant here- he is adorable- if I was a teenage girl I'd have a poster of him hanging on my wall for sure. LOL

and I don't think they want A-Rod...the yankees are going to resign him to a rediculous contract...

Not bragging here (well, maybe just a little), but back in July when Jacoby was called up for 2 weeks, my hubby and I knew then and there that he was going to make it big! He was awesome this series and, while I am happy Lowell was named MVP, I was hoping Jacoby would get the prize. Watch out for next year- the kid is HUNGRY!

My dad said the same thing....He should be there again next year...maybe instead of Coco...(I will miss him)...but because he didn't have enough at bats, he will still be a rookie again next season....

Ellsbury has been amazing. No nerves-nuthin'. Imagine being that young and winning a World Series? I don't think Coco will be back-they were already talking last night about Jacoby playing centerfield next year.
By the way-was anyone else annoyed that they spent so much time during last night's game talking about A-Rod? I was.

Being from NY and being a Yankee fan, I was interested in hearing about ARod, but give me a break- they beat that horse dead. We were NOT watching a Yankee game, so IMO they should have cannaed the chatter about it and focus on the team at hand. Steinbrenner and his sons are killing the team, ARod is being a HOG, and the whole thing is a turn off as a fan. I was rooting full blown for the Sox since July - - I'm a FED up Yankee fan.

My parents Wedding ceremony was Great, but we ended up having it in the Chapel instead of the Church, seems they had a funeral come up so it had to be moved, but I didn't find out until I went into the church and saw the open coffin. Boy was a shocked. I went back outside, waited for awhile then my Mom and Dad drove up, and told me about the move, Told mom, I was afraid to walk up and see who was in the coffin thought dad was trying to get out of getting married, ( bad joke I know). But we had a great day, Beautiful weather.

Welcome to Red Sox Nation....it is an awesome place to be...
I don't want the Sox to acquire a 3rd baseman who can't hit his own weight in the post season...I am perfectly happy with Mike Lowell who hit over .400 in the world series...and that news should have broken not during our game, but after it was over...I don't mind an interuption during the celebration, but to know it before the game was over was a classless thing to do IMHO....

Sorry I don't have a baseball story. I really know nothing about baseball--umm....you aren't going to throw anything, are you? My kids are big baseball fans, does that count for anything? Anyway, this seemed like the best place to share this.
I was doing highway cleanup with a group from church yesterday--yep, this is what we do for fun at 7:00 on a Sunday morning! When we were close to being done, I was working with one of the men in an area with some fairly high weeds. I told him, "You know, if this were a L&O episode, someone would be finding a dead body about now." He laughed and commented that it always seems to be a cleanup crew or a jogger who finds the bodies. A few minutes later, 2 people working from the other direction met up with us. One of them is my best friend. She told me, "I found a body! And a little way further I found a head! I thought about you with your L&O". What she found was a decapitated Cabbage Patch doll. She said she also found a pair of gloves and thinks they may have been worn by the killer. She "bagged" the evidence, but sadly, Cal-Trans will be picking it up sometime this week. I don't know if even Bobby can solve this one once the evidence is sent to the landfill.

I saw it in theatres and I enjoyed. It's fairly nerve wrenching and suspenseful. I haven't read the original story but I liked it. Parts at the begininng were a little slow with exposition by Samuel L. Jackson that didn't have a whole lot of bearing on the rest of the story.
