VISTA - AHHHHHHHHHHH! We got a new computer system at work complete with Vista - had Vista for a week and they overwrote it with another word program since it wasn't compatible with any of the files we had on our server. I'm still adapting to the new program.

Yeah, Vista can be a pain but I'm used to it now. I had XP for so long it was like an old friend, tho.

Thanks for the invite cifan70, but I'm going to have to say "NO". Unfortunately, I'm all alone in my living room with the house and TV all to myself since my son is on his 7PM to 7AM shift with his job as an EMT. Wait - did I say unfortunately? rolleyes.gif How about you come to my house? We can put on any VDO movie you'd like and just relax.

Wow I can come see you. That would just be relaxing, not the chaos I am going thru now. 4 girls screaming and laughing is no fun. More coming later. Joy

Vista is no fun. I got my desktop this past July and it is Vista and I had XP before and this desktop is giving me nothing but problems. It shuts down and restarts for no reason when I am in the middle of something and does weird things for no reason. I don't think I like it at all.

The offer stands - the door is open. biggrin.gif in case you don't make it, I'll send Tylenol. laugh.gif

Vista is an evil plot, I think. My son bought a brand new dell that came with Vista and has had no problems - our entire network at my office had to be overwritten because of the toruble we had.

Can you send Tylenol over the internet? I'll take that. I have plenty of VDO here to keep me company.

Vincent D'Onofrio [...] usually spends time in Ramatuelle (it is in the South East of France) in August. He says : "I have never talk about it before because I keep it very much to myself. I rent each year a different house with a swimming pool in order to spend 4 weeks far away from New York. Nobody knows where to contact me and I rarely get out from the house. It is my haven of peace where I can read and write".

Anyone wanna come to my house and deal with 10 seventeen year old girls and boys. My daughter's 17th birthday tomorrow and tonight is her party. I am having sooo much fun as you all can imagine. I really want to leave and come back tomorrow but I am afraid they will tear the place apart.

Are they as giggly as preteen girls? I hope your "recovery" is going well and is a quick one cifan.

Okay I have to share this with someone...My dad has alwayy been a "manly man"...you know, too masculine to like cats, to show much emotion (except to love us kids), to admit when something hurts or ask for help...you have to know him to understand...but yesterday I got an email from my dads wife (his 3rd wife, not sure what I should call her except by her name, which you wouldnt know so, haha). She says "We had a new baby". I am like what?...still reading the email...(my dad is 68 this year and she is in her late 50's-early 60's)...she went on to list the date of birth, the weight ect. Then I got to the bottom and opened the attached photos. This one was too cute not to share.

Now keep in mind, this gruff...manly man...yup, thats him...with that sweet little puppy tucked under his chin...MY DAD!

That is so sweet! A "boy and his dog". Awwwww

A sheltie is a Shetland Sheepdog, which is kind of like a miniature collie. They have the same body styels and coloring variations, just a smaller build and smaller size. They are both very driven in the herding instinct.

Weiners are special dogs...short on legs, but long on love!

Sorry to go on about the dog...I have always been an animal lover. My first books were animal encyclopedias! I loved learning about the different animals...everthing I could learn. I wanted to be a vet when I was a kid.

Don't apologize. I totally understand. Our dog is our empty nest baby. LOL We talk about him like he's a baby. Everything he does is just soooo cute. (only to us of course) I know he looks a little depressed in the picture below but really he's not.

Giggly, not so much but a little but they do laugh and scream very loud. We were up til 1 am and a few of them were up all night and left early this morning. Only 2 girls ended up still here when I woke up at 8:30 this morning. Daughter has been helping me clean up. We are working on it but not completely done. House is still standing and it doesn't look too awful bad.

These are plausable reasons for why he would nto have visited her. I can understand and agree with this reasoning.

What I cannot understand/agree with is the mentality among many (often fic writers) that Bobby is this socialy incapable buffoon that was totally unconcerned about his partner because he's the whack job and that's what the whack job does. That chapps my bottom

Had to pull this over here....glad I haven't read anything like that!!!

Bloody hell. My awful day yesterday better not continue today...
To summarize, my day at work reminded me why I got another job in September. Then I tried to go to a friends house for a party, and got lost. Note to self: have someone's phone number that you know is going to be there (the one friend that I knew was coming doesn't have a cell, and so I only had her home number). I forgot to ask for a ride, but she's only had a car for the last few months. This was made worse by Calgary neighbourhoods. The area is known as Arbour Lake. The main road through the area is Arbour Crest Road. I wanted Arbour Crest Court. But there is also Arbour Crest Circle, and Arbour Crest Close, where I ended up. Oh, and did I mention Arbour Crest Rise, Way, Heights, etc? *sighs* This is why numbered streets were invented. Next time, I'm going to use Goggle Maps, because a mapbook is insufficent.

Anyway, I'm off to church. Thanks for listening to my rant. Have a great day. smile.gif

Wine usually hurts my stomach, not sure why. I do not like a strong alcohol taste, but a nice mild wine might be interesting....

As to the drinking subject. I grew up around drinking and all the crap that goes with that. Both of my parents are alcoholics...so I try to stay away from the stuff. Yeah I know the feeling. Sometimes I drift a little off topic too.

My dad was an alcoholic so I think that is why I don't drink. I don't like the taste. The smell doesn't bother me. Perfumes, I don't like the real strong smelling ones but if they are light I can handle them, but I don't wear them.

Beware the effin Ides of March!!

I hear you on the bad day thing. My story is quite hilarious.
My roommate had a friend over, which is generally fine with me. But they kept me up until 8am. Tried headphones and earplugs, neither could drown out the sound.

Then I went to work for 11 hours.
And SHE complained to ME that she was tired and passed out on the couch.

That, of course, was the censored version.

It's the Ides of March, I tell ya!

Hope your day today was much better!
(Incidentally my best friend since I was 4 is named Amanda B. She's great!)
