Yikes 2 1/2 hrs sleep! I got more than that and I was still a zombie yesterday.
I missed the "Smile" episode of CI because I had to watch the Sox. -Imagine that? I still haven't seen it.
We Sox and Pats fans have been really spoiled the past few years. I did feel a wee bit bad for the Indians fans because they were feeling so confidant after being up 3-1 and I guess they were hoping to win the series at home because it's been a long time since they won any playoffs at home. In '04 the Sox came back from a 0-3 against the Yankees to win-MLB record-So we kept the Faith. They never give up.
Do you think the altitude in Denver will affect the Sox players physically? I hear the balls go farther because the air is thinner. anyway-Can't wait!
VDO I too enjoyed "Mad Men". I didn't realize that was the last episode of the season. We have Comcast cable and they show "Mad Men"
On Demand so I don't have to miss it to watch CI. If they had CI
On Demand-my husband would divorce me.

well when my son was about to be shipped out (via plane) to afghanistan for his first tour. he was stationed in Fort Drum NY. well here I was in alabama.. but I couldn't let him leave without me seeing him. so... strapped for cash.. I took a bus to Fort Drum..ugh!..32 hours.. with muiltiple lay overs and changes.. in cities such as memphis, cleveland , cincinattie(spell check), Buffalo.. and others.. the bus route was .. well less than scenice.. so I was disappointed...all that time through back roads right into these cities.. I didn't get to see some of .. I'm sure ..the most beautuful country..and.. my advice.. take a loan if you have to for a flight.. good lord I will never do that again.. and I was alone!.. scary stuff..lol..had a bag lady for about a hundred miles sitting beside me with all her worldly goods spilling all over on me.... sheesh. I would have taken a flight if I'd known a head of time when he was leaving.. but I worked then.. and you know the army.. they keep everything hush hush til the last minute..and 900 bucks was a little steep for me to pay for a ticket.
as far as beautiful country.. N. Carolina to Tennesee is some of the prettiest country I've ever seen.. now I'm not a seasoned traveler.. so I know there are lots of beautiful places out there.. but what I personally have seen.. nothing can beat these two states... especially in the fall.
My son in law was stationed in Fort Hood Tex. when he shipped out to Iraq.. so.. that christmas my daughter wanted to come home .. so.. I flew there and drove back with her.. then drove back to tex and flew home after her visit...ugh.. almost as bad as the bus.. 15 hours.. flat.. nothing as far as scenery.... I know there are some pretty places in texas.. just not on this route.
ok.. done.. I have no idea what promted this little rant..lol..

Last time I visited Tennessee was in 1988, on our way through to Florida. I've been there 5-6 times, I love the mountains. We visited Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge (?), too. I rode a sweet little mare at a place called Davy Crockett Stables (IIRC) in Townsend, TN. And we went into the Nat'l PArk.

They do keep the balls in a humidor but the Boston lineup (if they can hit) should really hit well there...what bothers me is that there are three Boston pitchers in the lineup that haven't pitched there and another one who doesn't like to pitch there...pitching Wakefield in Colorado worries me b/c that knuckle ball has a mind of its own...and weather won't bother Boston and believe it or not Boston is the warm city for at least the first few games...lol...I just hope it doesn't rain ...I couldn't take a rain delay and still wake up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for work two days in a row...lol

I am so displeased with the way country music is going.....4 years ago it was totally different, now it's POP thanks to Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts,Taylor Swift, etc. Toby has NEVER crossed over- - LOVE THAT, LOVE HIM!

IDK that is a tough decision Tito will have to make...he is hurting and if you put him at 1st you run the risk of errors, but how do you take a guy who is hitting .400 out of the lineup...also if you do put him on first, what do you do with Youk...he could go to right field in place of JD Drew...Youk is also hitting .400 in the post season...maybe they will rotate them with Mike Lowell...give one guy a break every game...who knows...we will find out...hopefully we will win today...

It was on Tuesday night and it was awesome...we got to look at some of the kids books they publish, meet the South African ambassador, and eat South African food (yummy barbecue and curries). I met the organization's founder too (she is so enthusiastic and yet very humble and apparently she says she still cries tears of joy at every 'opening' they are able to do...school rooms, reading rooms, libraries, computer labs, writing prize awarding ceremonies and scholarship awarding ceremonies).
One of the Wasington DC event volunteers took pictures...when I find out what is up with them, I'll point you all to a link (assuming they put one online...some chapters are more tech savvy than others

Since I missed all the tension here online last night thought this quote sent to me by a friend was particularly timely:
"The thing is doing it, that's what it's all about. Not in the results of it. After all what is a risk? It's a risk not to take risks. Otherwise, you can go stale and repeat yourself. I don't feel like a person who takes risks. Yet there's something within me that must provoke controversy because I find it wherever I go. Anybody who cares about what he does takes risks."
Actually this sounds like something VDO might say too...Pacino and he should work together on something.
