Sorry about your bottom - hope your pride is OK.

My niece's miniature schnauzer took off on Sunday afternoon and we've been walking the roads and posting flyers trying to find him. The 'boys' (my son, nephew, brother-in-law and my niece's husband) have been in the woods trying to find the little guy. We've had snow, sleet and freezing rain today so we're getting a little worried about the pup.

My niece is 5 months pregnant and hysterical over her missing dog - my son was out in the woods yesterday helping search and told me he's standing in a 'field' calling for the dog and he hears this funny cracking sound - the next thing he knows he's up to his knees in water (his field was a small frozen, snow covered swamp). Everyone with him thought it was rather funny - needless to say he didn't.

I know there were some bad power outages in FL today--has anybody heard from Janx? Wonder if she was hit by them. . .. . . . .

I don't pay attention to the news. Didn't hear about this but I saw Janx on really early this morning and I know that because I replied to something she wrote. I paid attention to the time. Since then though, I don't know.

I sure hope your appointment is tomorrow. Just get it over with. Are you still feeling poorly? Go no matter how you are feeling.

No power outages here. I was just busy at work, and then I vegged on the couch all night. I was around off and on during the day, mostly just read though. I don't usually post if there's nothing specific I want to say or reply to.

I'm so tired at the moment. My daughter turned seven today and we just had a family tea party for close family. She didn't get to open her presents until her daddy came home from work and she was so good at waiting, she didn't complain once. We always make a fuss of her on her birthday because it's extra special to us. For one, her due date was May 21st and almost didn't make it, so i am thankful for every birthday that passes, and also, she was born on the 13th anniversary of when i met her daddy. It's our twentieth anniversary of meeting today, our seventeenth wedding anniversary will be in August. Now my little girl is in bed, trying to sleep but even though she's exhausted, her brain is too wired to switch off so i've been sitting with her, talking to her quietly and getting her to visualise night skies, stars and other calming measures. All that visualisation stuff has made me really tired too

The earlier the better, wake up, get it over with and you can go on with your day.

i dont think i'm even functioning that early in the morning.

I know I don't start functioning until at least noon.

I haven't heard from KRod in a while. I know sometimes she gets caught up with RL so I hope thats all it is.

I hope so too....

I expect L&O mothership and LOCI probably won't be far behind SVU; even if they aren't shown on this list. (Note: he didn't show any Cable Network shows on his list.)

I used to have guinea pigs too. They were so cute and fun. Then we had rabbits. One of them learned to use a litter box even...

well, i'm glad someone is getting snow, cuz we aren't here in maryland! its a bummer. we've had ice that have closed schools, but thats not as good as a good snow storm!

I used to teach in MD...one year we had a week off because of snow...but now I am in the Poconos and we already have had seven snow days to make up....and it is supposed to snow again today...

Doctor appointment in less then 2 hours.

SVU starts new eps April 15.

NO MORE SNOW! We have had snow 2-3x a week for the past month (Indiana).

I know this has been asked and answered before, but I wasn't paying attention because I knew I would never remember--I tried to change my avatar and it didn't change. What am I supposed to do?

oh we have had just a little bit but enough to get me out of my school. i go to a private school so i was extremely happy to get a break fro all the hard work they make us do.

Did you delete the old one, I always have to send my old one to the recycle bin for my new one to take effect. then when it does, I put it back.

I couldn't figure out how to delete the old one. I knew I should wait and have my daughter do it for me.

WHenever I change my avatar, I have to go into Tools on my toolbar - delete my cookies, files, etc. and then after I log out of the forum and log back in, my avatar is the new one. I don't know why but it works every time.

I am not technically inclined enough to understand what you just said. When I change my avatar, I just wait a few days and finally my new one works. Don't ask me how but it does. Strange to me.

seee---that's what I don't like about the snow here in TN---kids get out of school, I have to find where to put said kid, and then I still have to go to work!


Speaking of the kid, I'm all jittery 'cause I just dropped him off at a friend's house to spend the night.........I'm not sure I really like the idea right now. The house seems tooooo quiet. . . .

Oh I feel for you. We haven't got to the point of spending the night at a friend's house with my son yet. I will dread that day. Well maybe not.

Seee, I'm of two minds about it---1) the house is empty with just me and the dog--so I can watch whatever I want to or play Rock Band or play Sims or whatever--the hubby won't be home until 11pm from work
2) He's my baby!!!! (I don't wanna let go )

I didn't get it, either. I tried clicking on tools, but didn't see anywhere to delete cookies or files. I'll just wait a few days to see if it "takes", or have my daughter help me.

This morning I went out bright and early to take my daughter to school, and discovered my truck had been broken into. They pried open the locks on the camper shell, then pried open the windows between the camper shell and the cab (so nice that they didn't break anything!). Then they took my radio. Of course--the one time I didn't take the faceplate off! I called the police and they took a report, but of course the radio will never be seen again. Well, not by me anyway. Someone will see it again--in their car or truck!
Then, after dropping my daughter at school, I went to have the truck smogged (its so wierd having silence while I drive--and the hole left by the radio looks so sad). And it didn't pass. It was too high on the emissions (at 15 mph, but was OK at 25 mph). The smog guy gave me an application for a state program that helps pay for repairs, and the DMV gave me an extension (of course I waited until the very last day to get it done).

I went to Borders to treat myself to Happy Accidents. I have it on tape, but want the DVD with the extras. They didn't have it in stock and had to order it for me. Delayed gratification--YUCK! Who needs that?

But my mommy just gave me a pint of Haagen-Dazs Caramel Cone ice cream and a spoon for my dinner. My mom rocks!

#2 I agree with totally. #1 I don't play video games but I could watch anything and I mean anything. That would be great but I got hubby who is doesn't work but goes to bed very early (actually in bed right now). See this is my 'me' time. I love the evening time. The computer is mine and then after my son goes to bed I am all over LOCI or movies or whatever. I don't sleep or when I do it is very little. Work is exhausting me so much that sleep is non existent.
