Way to go CI! That takes a lot of will power. I had a friend who tried quitting smoking for a long time before he quit.

I'm not sure I could quit donuts, though...

Way to go on kicking the smoking...I'm allergic to cigarette smoke so I never started. But I imagine smoking is like sodas only way worse.

I quit smoking by getting pregnant, lol my daughter is now 18. So I quit about 19 yrs ago. But I wouldn't recommend that as a way to quit, lol.

I've been addicted to a lot of things.. cigs are the only things I haven't ditched.. hey.. I have an addictive personality.. I'm gonna do something I'm not suppose to.

most of the time i dont go too crazy with sweets. but its hard on my campus cuz i swear they are trying to fatten us up for something. lol ^__^

when i have a big test or paper, that is when i really stock up on sweets. the rush keeps me focused. but right now, i dont think i could give up pop. i love it too much!! lol

Wow. I've been gone several weeks and just glancing over the names on the threads, I had to make sure I was on the right board! I don't recognize the names. So my jumping on here is going to be of no value. Because it's about our sweet andyc and probably no one will know who I'm talking about.

Just in case any of you 'old' posters happen to look; I have had the pleasure of meeting Andy. I can describe him in one world; adorable. Both in looks and personality. We met several weeks ago at one of the last Indian/Yankees games. Then we were both at the Indians/Red Sox game last night. He said to tell everyone 'hey'; and, to tell 'mom' (bug) and his 2 annoying little sisters (OF and BF) that he misses you.

I've been quiet too, but I am enjoying the new season of CI so far. Between getting more hours at work, then school starting to get very busy, I haven't been posting much. I can usually tell how much free time I have by how much time I spend in a fun book, and lately it's been textbooks instead (though at least they are fairly interesting this semester). I hope things are going well for everyone.

I'm never very quiet.

So what's everyone doing this weekend? And what other shows are people here watching?

I am going to see if I can catch a repeat airing of the finale of 'Mad Men' on AMC (that show has really grown on me) I caught it right after CI on Thursday but I need to see it again...a whole bunch of stuff came together so beautifully in it that I need a second viewing to appreciate it fully.

The actress Elisabeth Moss who plays Peggy Olson in 'Mad Men' played Greta Weiler in 'Imaginary Crimes' (a VDO containing movie that's worth a look). It is so odd to see her grown up, but she has become a pretty good actress and is doing neat things on that show. Also Michael Gladis who plays Paul Kinsey on 'Mad Men' reminds me of a cross between a young Orson Welles and VDO but the character Paul Kinsey is also really his own person and I haven't decided whether I like him or hate him yet. But he's sure interesting to watch as is most every other character on that show.

I'll miss 'Mad Men' until next season, but at least I'll get to bed an hour earlier

I haven't seen *Mad Men* but I love *Burn notice*... I'll be glad when it comes back too.. of course they left us all hanging.. and I expect that on CI right before thier hiatis.

Permission to skip football watching on TV...pretty please? I just don't get sports on TV. Doing them is fine, watching them in person is fine, but watching them on TV is about as interesting to me as watching those new videos where you see 100 photographers following a celebrity around. I get bored watching both on TV.

I know I'm probably gonna get chewed out for this but I'm gonna ask anyway. I'm trying to find out if any signed up for the mobile alerts. I did and i get the alerts on my cell phone but when I reply with an answer it keeps saying invalid key word. Iknow I'm technology challanged but I even had my son try and he gets the same thing. I get the alerts I just can't send the answers to the Quetions they ask. Please help!

Lol, maybe you did the same thing I did, Did you key in answer C 13 or CI3 I thought the answer was a Letter C and the numbers one and three, but its not a one its the letter I as in CI three, I felt so stupid after that. or you can just type Ci3.

My team (Notre Dame) plays USC today...I can't wait...I smell an upset...(really really hoping but not totally dilusional...lol)...plus my Red Sox are on tonight...GO SOX!!!!!!!!

My Irish are getting killed AGAIN what the heck is up with this team....I know the answer to that question, they don't have any upperclassmen leadership (only 6 seniors) and they need a new offensive and defensive line coach...but in the end, I will root for my team win or lose...and tonight I can root for my Red Sox...I hope they do better than my Irish...

If we didn't have two TVs my husband and I would be divorced by now, lol. Our taste in Television is soooo different.
