What is sims?

it's a computer game in which you can build your own families. your characters go to work, can get married or just have ... fun.... , have children, have pets, get older, die, fall in love, get promoted... it is really fun. I think the best part is that you can build houses and decorate them. I spoke about my sims on the shippy-thread, remember? I had Bobby and Alex fall in love, get married and Bobby is a really good cop and Eames is always pregnant We live next door and Bobby really fancies me and I am still trying to have his child without Eames finding out because then she'll yell at me and cry and destroy my garden flowers and kick over the dustbin and that's really smelly.

Specially when you can name them after other people...and make them fall inlove..

me too. Although I think after some time it gets a bit boring and then I just redecorate the house or tear it down and build a completely new one! Eames is quite artsy and she paints a lot of LOCI-screenshots I can hang up in the living room I wish they'd make it an online game, then we could visit each other and dance with our Bobbys

the original sims had sims online but they got rid of it, cause no one used it because there was a monthly fee. O.o

I know that game should definitely be rated at LEAST PG13.

my sister was playing it with "her" three girls when she was an au-pair in England (they were 4, 8 and 10). One evening the whole family had dinner and the eldest asked her: "Well, how do you make babies?" (meaning in the game). My sister replied: "well, first the love level has to be really high, then they have to relax on the bed, then they cuddle and then they make Woo Hoo and then they have the option to make a baby." Imagine the look on the parents' face

lawl, my dad is mormon, and when my little sister used to play when she was 6, my dad walked in on the sims making 'woohoo', and his eyes just went wide and then one week later he started playing. O.o

I just remembered I don't have a valid passport! And I won't get a new one because for the new ones they take your fingerprints and I will not give them away! I'm still pissed I had to give my fingerprints to Bush when I was changing flights in Newark even though the travel agent promised me I wouldn't have to. So I guess I'll have to stay in Western Europe for the rest of my life which is okay because flying terrifies me, after my last horrible flight from London I prayed the whole flight and said if He'd bring me back to the ground safely I'll never ever set a foot in a plane again.
But for the tiny chance to see the LOCI set I might have changed my opinion I'll call Kate and ask if she's around in June

Hahah! I want to do that too. I'm going to visit my dad in Belgium for Christmas and I got super psyched that I'm going through JFK when I come back. I'm really excited but I'm only going to get a 1 hr 40 min. But I'll be in NYC, even if it's just the airport.

LOL I was at a Lois&Clark Fan Convention in Los Angeles years ago and we got a special tour on the WB set even though the show was already cancelled and we all got so excited "Ohh, that's Teri Hatcher's parking space" and it was so cool to stand in the elevator and walk on the streets that they walked on.

on my way to madrid, spain, I spent 2 hours in JFK. Then once drove through NYC to Cape Cod Mass. One day I need to go and site see. Took almost 2 hours just to drive through, even with interstate, had to take a detour, with road constuction.

This message is for ciaddict who asked about the cat I had to put down on November 2nd

The necropsy (animal autopsy) report finally came in this week...my younger cat had pancreatic cancer and something called hepatic lipidosis (a lot of fat built up in his liver probably because he had stopped eating and apparently when cats stop eating for more than a day or two, the stored fat that their bodies start burning can clog up their livers and make them sick). I am still going after my vet's license because I suggested that this cat may have had hepatic lipidosis (he had stopped eating a day and a half before I took him in) and the vet wouldn't do anything to test for it or send me to someone who would have. The complaint is almost finished.

And if you have a cat and he or she stops eating for more than a day get Kitty to a vet ASAP

On a brighter note the one cat I still have:


is doing okay without his kitty buddy...he's of course swamping me for attention, is being much more vocal (it's more talkative than complaining), wants more play time with me and such but I think he's doing pretty well considering.

Hey Vault, I am so sorry for your cat!!! I lost my cat last year due to a heart failure, he died within seconds in my arms, without warning, and he was only five. My other cat screamed day and night for a whole week. I hope you are okay!!! And thank you for that hint! I watch my cats very carefully now. Did you get his ashes back? I am so sorry

I was watching the national news and there has been stories about the CIA intentionally destroying tapes of prisioners being tortured. It showed an animated picture of a torture slab, with a prisioner shackeld (sp) down. I started yelling "Just like My Bobby Goren". My family just looked at me.

That black and white feline is Setzer (named for Brian Setzer of the Stray Cats fame). He adopted me 10 years ago (he was a stray from near where I used to work who decided that I was going to be his human servant) and basically he's a good boy. I think he may be part Maine Coon which would explain the long hair, his size (he's 15 pounds) and his disposition (relatively good-natured and friendly to just about all living creatures save mice and lizards...those are toys)

When I saw Richard Belzer and his dog in that Colbert Report writers 'cute animals' video I had to start the photo thread over at the wga_supporters for fun and solidarity. I have seen several pictures of Da Belz and the dog on the picket lines...I'm not really a dog person but Belz's dog is cute.

Thanks waldkind...I am basically okay...the strike is really keeping me busy.

Luckily Setzer isn't screaming or anything that upsetting, he's just very clingy and lonesome. When the strike news gets crappy (which it mostly has been lately) or I read something that makes me angry, I go out and play with Setzer to calm me down.

I did not get the other cat's ashes back...I elected to let the veterinary pathologist dispose of his remains...that vet works for my state's agriculture department and they did a really great job on the report.

I'm a dogg person and a catt person; I have a 5 yr old Sheltie named Samantha (Sammie) and a tortie kitty named Cubbie.

I'm sorry about your kitty. My roommate's cat died a couple years ago, kidney failure. She was kinda icky one day and the next morning when we were going to take her to the vet she couldn't even stand up.

I set up 10 auctions on 2 characters, completed a daily cooking mission, got my cooking up to 375 (max skill), did a bombing run, AND captured The Bone Wastes SOLO, getting into a fight w/ a lvl 70 Orc hunter and his croc along the way. He killed me, but only by a sliver, and he was gone when I got back to my body, allowing me to capture tower number 5 and complete the set.

What did you do before 8:30am?

Good to hear from you, Vault. The picture of your cat is adorable. I'm glad to hear that you are both doing OK. When we moved from the country to a small apartment in town, my 1 y/o male just didn't adjust well at all. He became more psycho than usual (his name was Norman Bates ), and he became really aggressive with my 8 y/o female. I finally had to give him away (Socks had seniority after all). Socks seemed SO happy at first. She still seems happy to be the only animal in the house (the first time that has happened in her 8 years), but she is very clingy. She has to be with my daughter or myself whenever we are home, and is much more demanding about being petted than she used to be.

I need help. The rumor floating around my workplace is that our plant has been or will be sold soon. While sitting on my butt for a few weeks or months collecting unemployment sounds tempting, it is not really a financial option for my family (My husband wants to [i] keep[i] eating and living indoors. DIVA!!!!), so I'm busy filling out apps and sending out resumes. The one app is asking for my greatest weakness and strengths. I need a few that don't sound completely canned. It is also asking why I want to work for them. I'm guessing that the truth (I need to pay rent and I don't look that good in a halter top and a mini skirt, so your company is kind of my plan isn't quite going to work. Thoughts, suggestions, etc.

Does anyone know if there are VDO calendars anywhere?
