I really enjoyed The ending of Tin Man, even though I DVR it and fasted forward through some parts. I think they could have done with out the three parts. Like the ending, I was waiting for it to be a dream like the original, also like how they tied the original into this one. If you haven't seen it try to catch the replay on the 9th. Or at least record it and fast forward through the slow parts. The story as a whole is good. In my opinion.

Ah, the Ignore button. I forgot about that.

You have to wonder about the nasty people who come on message boards only to insult other posters. I don't know whether to feel bad for them-there's obviously something wrong there- or take them as they seem: Ignorant unhappy people begging for attention good or bad.

first of all.. i love your sig...very very sweet.
second...if you are putting me in the catagory of *nasty*.. i asked a legit question to parcher.. and afterward we had a discussion of views and opinions.. i never got an answer to my question..and felt like he was just typing a lot of pretty words without saying anything .. or answering a simple question.
I consider our discussion just that.. i tend to call people on something they post if it is contrary to what I've always thought.. and ask for explanations..to broaden my perspective.. or.. to prove a point. I don't think that is nasty.. it is a part of what a message board is all about.. this is off topic so anything goes as far as subject matter for anyone to post a reply or ignore.

LOL, I know what you mean, I try to bite my tongue, but a very sweet lady no longer comes here, and I think its due to this person, and that makes me very angry. Life is too short, and people use the internet as a way to bully people and get away with being mean, and hurtful, cause its easier than to do it face to face. I don't know if yall heard what happened awhile back. These two girls where online and had a friendship, they were teenagers, and one of the mothers didn't approve of the friendship, so when her daughter was out of the room, the mom got on messenger and chatted like she was the daughter and said some hurtfull things to the other girl to break up the friendship, and the girl ended up killing herself. You never know how your hurtfull words, or what you think is funny will hurt someone. So use your words carefully. My daughter was bullied severly and almost killed herself, so I take it very seriously. Guess thats why I can't hold my tongue with this certain person. I miss and worry about krodgers I hope she is ok.

i heard about the mother who made up the fake profile and was posing as a guy cuz she didnt approve with the girl being friends with her daughter. i dont know how this woman can live with herself. she is mother and she should know better.

im really worried about krodgers too. last time i heard from her was a day before thanksgiving and i sent her messages since then. the board seems a little less quiet and silly without her. im hoping she is safe and comes back soon!

Got this in an Email, thought it was very interesting and made me proud to be an american. [/color]
On Jeopardy the other night, the final question was How many steps does the guard take during his walk across the tomb of the Unknowns ------ All three missed it ---
b]This is really an awesome sight to watch if you've never had the chance Very fascinating.
Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
1. How many steps does the guard take during his walk across the tomb of the Unknowns and why?
21 steps. It alludes to the twenty-one gun salute, which is the
highest honor given any military or foreign dignitary.
2. How long does he hesitate after his about face to begin his
return walk and why?
21 seconds for the same reason as answer number 1
3. Why are his gloves wet?
His gloves are moistened to prevent his losing his grip on the rifle.
4. Does he carry his rifle on the same shoulder all the timeand if not, why not?
He carries the rifle on the shoulder away from the tomb.
After his march across the path, he executes an about face
and moves the rifle to the outside shoulder.
5. How often are the guards changed?
Guards are changed every thirty minutes,
twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year.
6. What are the physical traits of the guard limited to?
For a person to apply for guard duty at the tomb, he must be
between 5' 10" and 6' 2" tall and his waist size cannot exceed 30." Other
requirements of the Guard: They must commit 2 years of life to guard the
tomb, live in a barracks under the tomb, and cannot drink any alcohol on
or off duty for the rest of their lives. They cannot swear in public for the
rest of their lives and cannot disgrace the uniform {fighting} or the tomb in
any way After two years, the guard is given a wreath pin that is worn on
their lapel signifying they served as guard of the tomb. There are only
400 presently worn. The guard must obey these rules for the rest of their
[b]lives or give up the wreath pin.
The shoes are specially made with very thick soles to keep the heat
and cold from their feet. There are metal heel plates that extend to the
top of the shoe in order to make the loud click as they come to a halt.
There are no wrinkles, folds or lint on the uniform. Guards dress for duty
in front of a full-length mirror.
The first six months of duty a guard cannot talk to anyone, nor watch TV. All off duty time is spent studying the 175 notable people laid
to rest in Arlington National Cemetery. A guard must memorize who they are
and where they are interred. Among the notables are: President Taft, Joe
E. Lewis {the boxer} and Medal of Honor winner Audie Murphy, {the most
decorated soldier of WWII} of Hollywood fame.
Every guard spends five hours a day getting his uniforms ready for
guard duty.
ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.
In 2003 as Hurricane Isabelle was approaching Washington, DC, our
US Senate/House took 2 days off with anticipation of the storm. On the ABC
evening news, it was reported that because of the dangers from the
hurricane, the military members assigned the duty of guarding the Tomb of
the Unknown Soldier were given permission to suspend the assignment. They
respectfully declined the offer, "No way, Sir!" Soaked to the skin,
marching in the pelting rain of a tropical storm, they said that guarding
the Tomb was not just an assignment, it was the highest honor that can be afforded to a serviceperson. The tomb has been patrolled continuously,
24/7, since 1930.God Bless and keep them.
