hmmm...very interesting! What is his motive?
Papa Goren being mean to Mama Goren and Bobby Goren, but seems if Papa Goren was murdered, something would have been said about it.
I missed the Mr. Stevens. Who is he? LOCIFan, this was a great post!
To my knowledge, there has never been a Mr. Stevens in any LOCI script; other that Wally. I was speculating that because Wally and Bobby seems to have many similar character traits; that maybe Frances had actually had an affair with Wally's father (Mr. Stevens) about the same time as she was "fooling around with" Papa Goren and Mark Ford Brady!!![]()

Didn't Bobby mention about his grandma being sick when Frances went away for the weekend? His grandpa owned a clud on Brighten Beach, so that leads me to believe he has no living relatives except his brother. I don't recall aunts and uncles mentioned. Have you guys?
I remember Grandma being mentioned in the conversation between Bobby and Frank about "the accident." By my calculations, "the accident" occurred around 1965; Bobby was 4 years old and is now 46, if you add 20 years per generation that would make Frances 66, and Grandma 86. Is Grandma still alive? If she is, is she alert and healthy or in deteriorating health; and, most importantly, is her memory clear enough to be relied upon? (And, I must ask again, why would she allow her daughter/daughter-in-law to leave her two small grandchildren unattended for a weekend?).![]()

All good points, except the last...and for that I must ask, "How old are you, honey?" We are talking about the early to mid 1960's it would not be that unusual for a parent to leave a seven year old (Frank's age at the time) in charge of a younger sibling. It was a different time. I grew up in the seventies and eighties and when I was eight I could cook and clean and did so frequently. My parents left my younger brother in my care more than once when I was that age. Like Frank mentioned in his account to Bobby...there was a neighbor if they needed help...I was told to get "Gloria," my mother's friend next door, if we needed her.
All this obsessing over leaving the children alone for a weekend is out of place. Yes, we all know better now and none of us would ever do such a thing, but in the time period that this took place it was a common thing.
Sorry, had to get that off my chest as it has been bugging the tar out of me...
For the record, I'm 57 (born in 1950); I grew up in the 50s and 60s and I disagree. First, I don't remember Frank saying anything about a nearby neighbor. As I remember it, parents of the time might leave children unattended for a few hours; but, never for several days at a time (especially ones so young as 4 and 7).![]()

Re: Thread Proliferation.
I know I'm not the only person who is having a problem with the number of Threads that are being created; especially when there are existing threads already covering the topics. Since the frequent thread creators don't seem to understand what we are saying, I'll try to approach the thread proliferation problem from a different perspective.
(I've already posted a slightly altered version of this on the Etiquette Thread; but, thought it best to post here as well because it seems that many don't bother to read the Etiquette Thread.)
Because of an internet connection problem, I haven't been on the Forum for about 2 days. When I was last on, the list of threads was about 2 pages long (at 20 threads per page, this totals about 40 threads). Today when I logged on (2 days later) the list was 4 pages (about 80 threads) long. That means about 1 page or 20 new threads are being created each day.
If we continue at the current rate (1 page/20 new threads per day):
There are about 87 calendar days between now and Christmas. If 20 new threads are added each day, by Christmas there will be a list of some 810 new threads (87 pages) in addition to the current ones.
If you wish to extend it out further, at 20 threads/1 page a day; by this time next year, when we start Season 8; we will be logging onto a Forum with more than 440 pages and 8100 threads in its Index/Table of Contents.
Somehow I can't believe that in 2-3 months (Christmas) even the most avid of thread-creators would want to log onto a Forum with 800-900 Threads.
So, please think before you open a new thread!!![]()

This is going to sound very out of character from someone who usually posts that we don't need so many Threads; but, I really think we a "Technical Reference" Thread (and maybe it should be "pinned") as a single place to go for questions and answers to computer/software problems.
As I am not a "techie," I will request that someone else open such a Thread. Thanks.
