Okay, I have 2 Many. He finds it difficult to sleep with the tapping of little doggy toenails, deep, booming barks, yelling kids and my husband playing World of Warcraft at all hours, not to mention my yelling at them to keep it down. We really should get a bigger place with more room for four people, four dogs and one very loud cat, but the rent in San Francisco is so high! And the view from the apartment is so good! Although, in Monkland, it seems like you can see that pyramid thingie, or the Golden Gate bridge from just about *anywhere*.

Mr. Monk would love to live next door to me! I don't clean unless the mess is so out of control that you can't see a full square inch of floor, or if something smells bad. I hate to do clean, and I always lose more things when my stuff is "organized". I'm not very noisy, but if I had an apartment, I'd put something festive and asymetrical on the door for every season, and I would surely go barefoot to get my mail or take the trash out. I'd probably goad the rest of the floor into throwing a hall party a couple times a year, too. So, am I in?

2B..tis the armor littering the floor that vexes me much. I dids't but take it apart to cleanse it of the bloody gore of ages past but now cans't find the secret to put it all back together. The metal tis much too heavy for a lass like me and makest much noise as it fallest to the floor. Where, oh where are all the King's horsemen and all the King's knights to put back together this unheavenly sight?
Why, I've had to keep my best friend MO away lest she trip and do much bodily harm to her lovely self.

This is great.

I can't really do poetry or this kind of writing, so you get props from me. Which are good.

Dang it all, I would be, but I can't get that stupid zipper on my sweater to work, I had to throw out my slippers cause they were going to Sunday School without me (too holey) and King Friday the 13th got twenty to life for beating to death that irritating postman.
And, BTW, is it a coincidence that the Mental Health Unit at our local hospital is on the Second floor?? I think not.

Ha ha. Funny.

Over in Apartment 2 Crazy, there's Chik. Just above Adrian's apartment. Always throwing wild parties with the other MMB members. Monk has to use the classic poking the ceiling with the broom trick to get it quiet up there.
Sorry if that was a little lame. It's late at night, I'm tired, you know how that is...

Apartment 2 Odd next to the laundry chute: Jen's constant hallway mutterings of, "Where did my three corn snakes go?" surely keep Adrian fretting as he stands on top of an upturned bucket with a can of Raid.

Thanks Liv, to me that's high praise because I think you are the smartest, most intelligent poster I've ever met. I envy your abilities to take illogical posts, or any posts, and come back with logical, interesting responses.
The poetry comes easily to me, the language I have to admit comes from reading too many novels set in mid-evil times.

I think I shall join the fun... *grin*
Apartment 2 Five: Between the cat(s?), the mess, and the overabundance of dairy products, Adrian wouldn't exactly be keen on visiting... ever. Though normally fairly quiet (spending much of her time studying, playing video games with the sound off, or drawing), Kelo has a tendency to start singing randomly throughout the day, or to practice martial-arts-y-type-stuff indoors (sometimes with a wooden sword). The front door would inevitably end up covered with crazy homemade posters taped on at strange angles, which likely would be mysteriously straight each time she got home.
Adrian is sincerely regretting ever mentioning his brother to her, as it turns out Kelo is a language-nut and has been pestering him for Ambrose's contact info ever since.
...As for the name of the apartment? Kelo is obsessed with the number 25 (and to a lesser extent most multiples of five in general). In fact, she is so obsessed with the number, she made sure that this was her 25th post. ^^;

That's ok, Raven, this was just my
weak attempt at being funny.
Your designation for awhile was "Old Hand", and you have the picture of hands. I figured since your designation is now "Buns Of Steel", we might be expecting a pic of a different portion of your anatomy.
The "Blue Moon" referred to posts we made a loooooooooong time ago about "mooning" peoples out of the MMMTB windows. I had said it was too cold here in Ill-A-Noise for that and someone started "singing" Blue Moon.
Oh, why does my brain remember silly stuff and nothing worth a darn??

In 2-Quiet lives
Raven, Adrian's favorite neighbor, why? She's early to bed and early to rise and carpeted her whole apartment so her Whippets toenails wouldn't go "click, click, click" all night on the wooden floor keeping her favoriite man up all night. Her kindness and thoughtfulness has Adrian thinking he should send her flowers.
Living in 2-C, to the right of 2-B is
Nard. His pager going off at all hours of the day and night with medical emergencies drives Monk crazy. Thinking he's hearing the phone and missing his calls, he keeps calling the Captain, keeping
him up all night. The Captain is going to issue Nard a citation as a public nuisance.

PockyGirl
Oct 23 2007, 09:49 AM
Straight down the hall from Adrian Monk's apartment lives a strange woman named PockyGirl. She is quiet but is often found talking to every animal or baby she meets. She refers to her five animals as children. Baby, the womans ferret, loves to run up and down the halls leaving gifts in front of Mr. Monk's door. Inside Pocky's apartment you see random collected junk everywhere. None of the furniture matchs and everything is so disorganized, pocky doesn't care though. Two cats are meowing at her this very moment telling her to get off the computer.
I did my best...

Look, here we see the apartment on the other side of Adrian's. It is apartment 2Merry. This is where spinner and her husband MonkFansMan dwell, and what a happy place it is! Adrian regularly practices stuffing his ears with cotton to keep out the happy noises from next door, not beause he doesn't like to hear happy people, but because he feels envious and wants to join in, cautiously, of course!
What noises, you say? Spinner regularly practices her biking there when the weather is bad, and she's been rumored to have walked 5 miles in her apartment one rainy afternoon. Round and round she went! What can I say, she's addicted to fitness!
These two are also great kayakers and like to practice their kayak skills in their huge hot tub. This has lead to wet floors and leakage underneath the walls into Adrian's closet. His shoes were sitting in puddles, causing an all-night cleaning session for Adrian. His newly found ear-plugging skills have come in handy recently, however, when spinner and hubby were heard to sing a duet of "It's a Jungle Out There" in the early morning hours, spinner singing falsetto, MonkFansMan deep base.
I have it on good authority that a curly-haired man all dressed in brown has been spotted with a small oar and running shoes leaving their apartment recently...could that have been...?

Now, turn around and look down the hallway. On your right you'll see the apartment 2Busy. This is the home of Aldebaran. She's a very quiet neighbor, just the kind that Adrian appreciates, because she's hardly ever there. With her 40 hour week training at the hospital, and her part time job at the bookstore, her apartment is usually silent until late evening when she finally gets home. Her five cats are well behaved but when she's home and playing with them, the pitter patter of 20 little romping cat paws can be heard if you listen carefully.
When Aldebaran relaxes at home, one of her favorite things to do is to create beautiful Haiku poems. This is a quiet activity, one Adrian heartily approves of. The simple clean lines of Haiku poetry appeal to him, although he's been heard to say that the uneven syllables of each line are faintly disturbing.
Adrian once baked her a plate of ten square sugar cookies to say thank you for being so quiet, but he refused to step inside, saying that if he got any cat fur on his clothes, they would be irredeemable and would have to be thrown away. Aldebaran, being the understanding person she is, said that she wouldn't mind patting him down with masking tape to remove any offending cat hair. That was the last time she's seen him.

Across the hall in Apt. 2 Live and Let Live lives Liv and family. Liv is a quiet sort who won Adrian's approval when she bought a rock polishing kit for making jewelry. Liv is quite the artist and likes to sit quiety with pen and paper drawing pictures of favorite TV characters.
Along with Liv are her two kids, her hubby and a menagerie of pets. Adrian has been seen on more than one occasion scrubbing footprints off the hallway floors after an especially hectec day of Liv's kids and their friends running in and out with the dog.
Liv, who once owned an iguana named Fluffy, was so reluctant to part with it she had it stuffed. She once sent Adrian clinging to the walls in a panic attack when passing Adrian in the hallway while carrying Fluffy out for a little afternoon sun.
Will Adrian ever survive the sight of 'stuffy Fluffy?'

Hi, I'm the new neighbor in 2Close. I'm a close talker and a hugger. I heard that the guy with the curly hair and great eyes, who always dresses so uptight, is a detective and loves clue hugs. So if I see him I will be sure to hug him. Several times.

I have just moved in, me and my family. I have a very sweet little cat. It likes people, goes to them purring, pushing and asking for smoothing...the nice man, who lives next door, would like it, surely!
Did I already mention my lovely kids? They are very sociable, and I am sure that the nice man, whom I already have mentioned, would be very pleased and happy, when my kids go to visit him, because he seems to be alone.... I have heard, that he likes children.
Probable I will go to visit him also, to borrow sugar.... he could borrow his cup for sugar also. And some flavor, eggs and milk! Everybody has milk, right?
