Hi, this is my first tiem on any message board. There is not any fans of the show where I live so I had to get this out to someone.
First I need to summarize how I have seen the story to show how I will like it to end.

In the future a group of people wanted to improve their world. They researched people and events and picked 4400 people, who would most likely help the world become better. They implanted a new neurotransmitter that was created using research from Dr. Kevin Burkof. Another group of people did not want this experiment to succeed so they implant Isbelle in Lilly Taylor. As predicted the 4400 did help make changes, however, not as good as thought. The chain of reactions caused a fraction between people who could take promicin and those who could not. This led to a different world and had to be corrected.

The people of the futures choice to help unit all peoples was Jordan Collier. The elite fraction tried to kill Collier before this could have happened through Isabelle and possessed Kyle. Luckly the people of the future saved Collier and brought him to the future to see what he must try to stop.

This forced the elite to go to the past and to “mark” individuals to stop this plan. However, the elite did not know that the people of the future put the answers in a book not into Jordan. The book mentions a list of people who needed to take the shot to save the world. Tom Baldwin is the last name on the list.

Now for my theory. The significantence of this is that Tom’s abilty is the last one that is needed in this epic battle. I would like to see Tom’s abilty is to travel through time/dimensions. Thus he is the only one who could go and stop the people of the future from starting the 4400 experiment and let fate take care of itself.

At the time of the seris finale the great war begins between the + and –‘s. Tom takes the shot and figures out his abilty. With the help of Marco he discovers that he must go and stop everything from happening. To do that he enlists the help from his partner Diana. Diana sends Mia somewhere to be safe, but having a vision of Diana dying in the future dimension Mia stays close to Diana. With the death of Tess in the war Dr. Burkoff decides to go with Tom since he is the founder of the 4400 technology. As Tom is holding the hands of Burkoff and Diana Mia jumps in with them and is too transported to the future dimension.

Meanwhile Kyle, Jordan, Shawn, and NTAC all ban together in the present earth to prevent termination from the government.

Now in the future Diana is able to go through sercuirty easier since she is found not to be with promicin. They find a person from the future willing to help them destroy the technology. In the battle in the future Mia dies trying to save Diana, Burkoff dies dismantling a machine. Tom is wanting Diana to go with him to the past since everything is exploding, Diana stays with the dead Mia. Tom goes back alone.

When he gets to his present he sees that the 4400 were never taken. Kyle and Shawn go to college, Mia is a grandmother living in the city next to a single Diana. He visits the psych ward to see that Tess and Kevin are as close as ever. Ryland gets promoted to DC and appoints Tom his successor at Seatle. Tom does divorce Kyle’s mom, but either meets Alana or Doyle later and gets married to one of them(either of them would be good).

I have to say, not bad...surely your thoughts are your own and while i like some of the choices surrounding the characters of the show, i would love to see some of those things play out a llittle differently. Maybe Tom could find that his new ability would be that all he had to do was use the power of ones mind to set the wrong things right. Time travel as one persons ability i think would be a little steep for this show, but if he could see in his mind the things that needed to be done to preserve a better future, instead of someone like Cassie having to tell him to just go along with it, that would make for a very interesting ability on Toms part.

This is perfect! I'd love for this to be the end of the show... Tom setting things back to how they originally were.

But does Tom retain his ability after he travels back?

Hello all, this is also my first time on the boards. But my mom and I were talking the other day about how the 4400 should end. I think that there should be a tight shot of Shawn with his head bowed. Slowly he looks up and the shot goes wide to see that he is in a straight jacket and there is a nurse standing over him saying, "Take your medicine, Shawn. Don't you want to stop having delusions and be able to get out of here?" Then everything that had gone on so far wouldn't have been real(the 4400, the marked, promise city, the catastrophe in seattle, etc.), and it was all in his head. I think that would be funny!
