I loved the music in the finale! A soundtrack would rock! Sadly I don't know any of the names of the songs either.

I want to know what the song is called that they used in the finale when Mike's running and it was also used on some of the promos. Don't know what is it, but it resembles Strict Machine by Goldfrapp, but it isn't. There were about a trillion posts that arrived after the finale on the subject but I couldn't keep up with reading them all...I is confooz-ed. See, see what happens? I lost it...must turn on Burn Notice and recover...there. done.

Yep, that's usually how I find songs I don't know; go into Google and just type the entire song in Unfortunately, this song has no lyrics, and typing in song with funky bass line just doesn't do the trick with this song. All you get when typing in Songs used in Burn Notice promo/commercials is Connected by Stereo MC's, which I love, but I already know that song.

Hmmm... I'm thinking that we may not be able to find actual songs from the show (other than the Stereo MCs) since I'm thinking the composer/music people for Burn Notice have made up their own original music for most of it.

Buying clearance rights to use real songs can get very very expensive (& it's time consuming, legally, etc, a pain), and I'm thinking they're probably trying to save money (and spend it elsewhere, like on pyrotechnics!) and don't have much of a budget. A good composer can make songs that sound very mainstream, almost like songs we'd know.

The finale music, where Michael is running, and the music from the promos as well, sounds a lot like an altered version of the opening bass line in that groovy 60's tune "Spirit in the Sky" by Norman Greenbaum to me, but the melody is "slightly" different. Take a listen to the original Spirit in the Sky and then to this modernized use for a video game and this techno Goldfrapp version and tell me what ya think.

That Goldfrapp is very close! The base line is the same but in the show they had more drums and synth guitar.

I can't think of any music I like to go with Burn Notice. But I do love the classic rock!

It would have been easier to pin it down if they had lyrics in it; I bet it's a techno version- check out Ebay Auction Number 120166088446

They have a Benton CD that probably has the version they used on the show.

What is the name of the Spanish song in the first episode? The song was playing in the background in the scene where Michael was in a hotel looking up the number for Lucys security firm. There was too much background noise to try to listen for lyrics

If you guys want to download it though its not that hard. You just have to use a browser like Firefox, and install a plugin such as DownloadHelper. The ones you want to look for are those that advertise the ability to save flash files from sites and stuff...

Heres one but I cant guarantee itll work-

Then using the plugin that you install, you should be able to see some sort of list of files that are on the page youre viewing. Look for the .mp3 song, and download it.

itunes has "Everybody Wants You" ringtone by: Baby Strange and Bourgeois Heroes. If you can download mp3's from your computer to your cell phone, you could make your own ring tone. If you don't have that capability, check the website of your cell phone provider and see if they have it as a ring tone that is compatible with your phone. If I can help, please let me know. You may be able to create a ringtone through iTunes - you could contact them about that - the capability may depend on whether you purchase the song from them. I created a Billy Squier "Everybody Wants You" ringtone for my phone. It is an mp3. The one I created and now using on my cell is 118kb and is 30 seconds long. I am assuming if you want it, I could send it to you from my cell to yours or just e-mail it to your pc and you can probably e-mail it to your cell. Ringtones are easy to make. Let me know.

I sampled some of the songs from the soundtrack and some I don't recall hearing on the show.

I want that ringtone Mikey had on that mobile phone in Fight or Flight epi. "I got your back". That was so funny since it was such a tween song.

I love soundtrack CDs from TV shows or movies because there is such a mix of music.

I visited iTunes and sampled the songs on the BN CD. I didn't care for any of them.

I like those songs too. But yes a bunch are missing. You can get Lexicon -Youth is Yours album
which has PartyPeople-which plays when Sam&Mikey are walking by the pool and also Rock-which plays when Michael&Fi repo the boat. The song you are referring to I really thought was Lexicon or CelphTitled or Apathy (all rappers from the original group) but cant find it (at least not yet). Someone already tried on YahooQuestions but the answer was removed (was that you?) I also tried googling the lyrics but that didnt work either. Hope this helped a little. (I have a music addiction -besides the BN addiction... sorry I am ramblin) Peace.

I've been driving myself crazy trying to find the song that plays at the end of Season 1 Episode 12. It's when Mike's following the directions from the Onstar guy. It's what's playing when he first hears from Carla, and then gives the "some information is worth giving anything for" narration that's been used in the commercials.
