After reading a few of the statements from those saying they will not watch the 4400 if it is renewed and Isabelle isn't on it I had to post this.

Is that the only reason you watch the show? She wasn't in the first season, so something got you hook. There are so many shows out there that loved characters leave and you move on. Yes, you miss them, but others come and make you remember why you watched.


I am glad she is gone and if the show comes back I hope she doesn't come back. She completely overwhelmed season 3 and most of her scenes in season 4 were useless and bland. I can't think of any episode in season 4 that wouldnt' been better without her. In fact, the same with season 3. Shawn could have had a better year in charge of the 4400 had it not been for her. Kind of hard to run a business when you have a pycho woman on you all the time, threatening you and your family morning, noon and night.

Hey Phanta..No Izzy is not The 4400 and I will continue to watch the show even though I am a Izzy fan..I'm also a fan of the entire show and all the cast members. I think most of the people saying they will not watch if Izzy does not return are just in shock that she is gone..everyone kinda thought something would happen to her but none of her fans really thought she would "die" so I think for the most part they..we are in "TV Shock" over the loss..and I know you don't like Izzy so don't be brutal if you respond to me...I'm just saying

Yea! I'm all about hope...and I love them all..especially the Men!!! Shawn is cute...Tom is HOT! Jordan can be my sugar daddy...Marco can be my lab partner...and well Kyle is everything...just something about that man!

If by some miracle of casting they bring her back I hope she doesn't dominate the freaking show. She is a one note character. I hope she would be like Heather or Richard only in a couple of epi's----flashback type epis or dreams .....

supposely she died, but who knows. we never see her 'dead' or buried....maybe her healing ability came in handy and she's under NTAC watch?

I agree, she is done. There are such great characters on the show with much more diversity and better depth.

You know what I am a major Isabelle fan, but that conspired only from season 3 I could not STAND her character in season 4 and Phanta when you said you could not have thought of a scene that wouldn't be better without her in it I was totally nodding my head in agreement... I knew since the middle of last season that Isabelle had to die, there was no where else for her character to go and I was totally fine with that, If they brough her back in season 5, assuming there is one, It would feel totally cheap and just plain irritating, I would actually consider taking a break of the show....well that might be kind of harsh I have to have my questions answered so maybe I would just mute the scenes with her in it, Just wanted to give my input being an Isabelle fan and not all of us want her back and she is definately NOT why I watch the show.

Allthough I'm a Issy-Fan, I agree that Issy is no original 4400. I loved Issy's change from S3 to S4, really... But some scenes in S4 were just too drippy for me and I thought "hell no, do we need to see this?! Will the series become a soap-opera now?"... Yeah , the world needs love, but... iw ouldn't say that I wasn't touched by some scenes, but on the other hand... Nah...

I knew that that death had to happen, I assumed it would happen at the end of S4... And then she survived and changed... But still there had to be something...

I'd love to see her come back, but how, I don't know... Maybe not as dreams or flashbacks, but as a real person of flsh and blood...

I guess it's different for fans who've been hooked from the very beginning. Personally, I started watching The 4400 in the third season after I found out that Megalyn was going to be a regular. I'm a Megalyn fan, so she's the reason I tuned in. I hadn't ever seen the show before that. So I think it would be perfectly valid for me to tune out after she was gone. Don't you?

That said, I'm not sure that I will be tuning out. I think this is a really solid show, and it's kept my interest from the moment I started watching. I love so many of the characters, and have enjoyed watching it every Sunday. While the writing of Isabelle's character in Season 3 kinda threw me, especially with the whole "Bridezilla" thing, I've enjoyed watching them shape her into a more human character in the fourth season. I found Isabelle intriguing and her relationship with Kyle was so touching. I love that Megalyn brought that kind of passion and intrigue to the show. She was compelling as a hero and as a villain. I think Isabelle's character brought something exciting and refreshing to The 4400, judging by the level of response her character's received from the audience.. both positive and negative.

Still, if you watch a show for just one character, then you miss out on so much else. I've enjoyed following the journeys and struggles of all the other characters on the show as well, and even though Isabelle's gone, theirs keep going, and I would enjoy learning more about them in the fifth season.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, they were well spoken and I agree. Like Isabelle, don't like Isabelle, she has brought something to the show that will be missed. But, like you said, there are so many other great characters that will make season 5 worth watching even without Isabelle.

I don't know how I feel about Isabelle's death. I guess I have to wait until next season. The only person I know I am glad is dead is Lily. Just watched some season two episodes and remembered how annoying she was. I never liked Lily and still don't.

Lily wasn't so bad-she was a jerk about Jordan, and she wanted to act like Isabelle was a perfectly normal baby, which was alarming, but aside from that she wasn't so bad. She was actually very sweet and gentle, and she was a good mother to her daughters. If she had lived, Isabelle's story might have been very different, because if ever a girl needed her mother, it was Isabelle.

Ditto on Lily, she was very whiney and completely didn't know her daughter. If she had been a good mother maybe she would have noticed..it's not normal for an infant to kill people. I also think Richard loved Lily a lot more than Lily loved Richard....if that makes sense.
