We always talk about our favorites, what about your least favorite? What episode(s) do you think could have been left out and the show would not have suffered or even been better for it?
Kickcity903
No Exit. Nothing happened. supposely it's the episode that showed Tom and Jordan are able to set things aside and work together, but for me, I didn't believe it.

it did set up a bit for the finale when they escaped...but that was it

I think one of my least favs was the Jean Delyn Baker one "Carrier". It served no purpose whatsoever. It made no sense and it didn't fit.
Kickcity903
Carrier was a good 'stand alone' episode. But I liked the side-story of Maia and April in that episode.
Bubba_Bridges
Hi Bubba here, The Wrath of Graham. Just a creepy episode to me.

Being Tom Baldwin and Audrey Parker's Come and Gone dry.gif
Totally useless.
The young "ghost" of an old lady communicating with Diana with a radio... No comment

I agree with Phanta and i say The Carrier to. But it wasn't a bad episode cause for me every 4400 episode is like a little orgasm:]

um EW

so what you are saying is the 4400 is like sex......even bad sex is good sex...?

Actually hmmmm not. I thought about the feeling when i see Shawn and the other characters i feel a very strong happiness. Orgasm wasn't the right word i guess.

a little off-----how about excitement?

I would have to say Audrey Parker's come and gone was my least favorite because it just didn't have much to do with the ultimate story line, it may have been because I just didn't like the actress that played Audrey. The episode I hated watching was Daddy's little girl I can't say it was my least favorite because it had plenty of ties to the plot but it wasn't easy to watch.
Arya
Here I wouldn't be sure either... For me every epi made some sense, even if it didn'Ät contribute to the forward going...
JeanDelynn Baker showed how "haterid" and disappointment of the whole community/world can make you sick... Mybe she also made us think that the abilities suit the personality and so on of a character... The wrath of Graham just was used as a good moment to show Jordan's new ability. Here it was absolutely necessary to stop somebody. Otherwise a single person could raise to a dictator and nobody would do something against it...
Audrey peaker was "senseless"... Here we saw just another interesting ability - astral-projection and walking-tours...
For me the Epi in which Tom got to kow Alana was somehow "strange"... Only because of the context I knew that it was important. If I had seen it before S3 at the beginning (so to speak in the right order), I would have thought that it was completely useless, only interesting again...

On that we both agree. I absolutely dislike this episode, though the subplot with Shawn was good. The only good part was how Jackie delivered the line, "She was quoting (some section of the bible). (Shakes her head in doubt) Not a good sign, Tom." It was performed with such subtlety and an understated detached quality, in contrast to Tom's yearning to save this woman. It really made me laugh.

Oh, I absolutely LOVE that episode. It's my favorite from Season 2! Such an original idea. My mother used to hate it but I showed it to her over the summer and she more fully understood it.
Actually, when Ira Behr wrote it, he said, "People are either going to hate it or love it."

I've totally used the word "orgasm" to describe my reaction to a great episode. I used to feel that way about the best of The X-Files when I was in high school. Very shocking but appropriate! laugh.gif

Daddy's little girl was one of my favs. Richard was back and he began his new sad story with Izzy. It was amazing.

My least favorite is The Great Leap Forward.

Just kidding! tongue.gif

It's hard to pick one, but I'm thinking Being Tom Baldwin was one, and to be honest, Graduation Day didn't do much for me. And Blink was hard to watch because I like Marco.

I would probably need to give it more careful thought, but my initial answer is The Great Leap Forward. Sadly, I am not kidding. There certainly were episodes that I quickly forgot or even bored me a bit, but only one episode ever made me laugh at the show.

Really? I loved this episode, aside from the fact that it may have been the series finale and with that in mind it sucked, but if it was just another episode, maybe the season finale, I thought it was great. Am I really that shallow or stupid that I don't see the flaws and issues that others do? unsure.gif

Edited to say: I'm not trying to be sarcastic or anything. I just find it so strange that I can watch it and come out saying "wow, loved it" and others have serious complaints. Just trying to get a handle on viewing styles or personal perceptions to try and understand it. Obviously people have different opinions and so what some like others hate. It's not that I don't agree with their opinion, it's that I don't even see it. I don't know, is that a personality thing or what? huh.gif

You will not hear me say that. I don't know if there are any shows that are flawless, and I expect that we all overlook things when we enjoy the overall direction of a show. Certainly, some of my current issues with the show date back to the beginning, but you didn't hear me criticizing (or even recognizing) those things then. I think that I am just disappointed with where they have taken the show, so I feel less invested in it. As a result, I get stuck on things I would have ignored previously. Furthermore, I am pretty angry about what they did to MY show and don't like being less invested in it, so I am lashing out in the delusional hope that they can go back to the end of season 2 and try again. If I hadn't fallen for the show from the beginning, I wouldn't be here commenting on problems I have with it now, and if I liked the Promicin/religion storyline, I am sure that I would be focused on all the great things that happened in the finale.

I previously compared it to having a favorite band and either having that band change directions on you or having your own tastes change. It takes awhile for you to admit that it really isn't your favorite band anymore, and you still buy the new album in the hope that they will go back to what you once loved. It's hard to criticize your favorite band, and the only people who will listen to you are probably going to disagree with you.

Finally, I bet that there are some major holes in Heroes and other shows that I watch(ed), but I don't have nearly the same hopes and expectations for those shows. I watch them for pure entertainment value, which allows me (usually) to ignore things like Law & Order's absolute butchery of the trial process. Right or wrong, it appears that I attached a greater value to the 4400.

I've always passed this topic, but I will answer it now: My least favorite episode is No Exit, it's just was a wast of an episode. Yes, it showed that Tom and Jordan can work together, but they should have had another episode that went with this seasons storyline with them working together.

I missed that music comparison but I so understand you cuz that's how I feel about Metallica. biggrin.gif

I didn't mean to make you feel that you were saying anything bad about the people who liked that episode or like where the show headed. I was just trying to figure out why I didn't see the same issues. See, I watch Smallville, never miss it, and a good many times at the end I am hugely disappointed and I feel like I lost an hour of my life. But the next week I watch it anyway. But I don't value that show at all. If it were cancelled I wouldn't miss it. And while I watch it I can see this error and that flaw. Like every week Lana Lang is in the hospital! I mean, how many lives does that woman have? LOL
So I guess it's like you said, that I overlook the flaws in The 4400 because I generally enjoy the show. Thanks for posting that because I wouldn't have come up with that and I was starting to think that I must be gullable or naive to just sit back and not really look to carefully at the show. I thought I was missing something. But I can see why you're disappointed with the direction the show has taken. It's not at all that I dispute you, it's just that the issues don't really click with me until I read them addressed by someone else and I was starting to wonder why. rolleyes.gif

My least favourite eposide has to be Weight of the World, especially because the acting wasn't too great in that one.

I am more concerned that I am running around like a negative nelly, criticizing the show that everyone here loves. So, I posted that mostly to try to explain why I am saying the things I am saying. If most people like the general direction of the show and the finale itself, great. I am always on the fringe and recognize that my tastes differ from most. In fact, I would probably start to get nervous if more people agreed with me. Sure, I am right, and everyone else is wrong, but I won't say that out loud.

Um, wait . . . ohmy.gif

Well, I love this show and I don't mind that you have been posting some thing that point out some flaws in the show or it's disappointments. I like hearing what you have to say despite the negativity because you have some really good insights and your posts are very interesting. I don't think I'd like it if every post was all whipped cream and cherries. biggrin.gif

I am the same way. Sometimes thats why I get so adament with my opinion. (like with Isabelle) because I just can even fathom how they got that idea. Sometimes I can..like Jordan. I don't like him, but I can see how others could. Ah well, our differances are what make the world go round. If we all agreed well, that would be a tad boring.

Peace=awesome! Everyone agreeing like a bunch of mindless drones? Well, that would be like an Elite of people with abilities all sanctioning off their own city! biggrin.gif

I can see where your coming from bahmo, with the whole direction thing. When I think about season 1 and 2's claim of saving humanity, I had previously assumed it would be a combination of several things that would be helped out by these people with abilities. But when I see the whole world turning to promicin...let's hope for season 5!
