So I love the game playing threads and I would love to aprticipate in this on but it brings me back to the anagrams I couldn't solve in high school, could anyone give me helpful tips on how to play?

Megan, It's easy. You can either try to come up with a phrase using as much of the letters as you can or be lazy like the rest of us ( ) and just guess as many words as you can think of that can be made from the letters given. Once a few words have been confirmed then we try to put them together into a sentence. The winner of the game then sets up the next anagram. They are "TheMastermind" of that game and give clues and confirm correct guesses. Glad to have you join us.

is this the same as the diary anagrams? in other words, there is a fixed phrase we are try'n to figure out?

Thanks for the info I guess I am still a little confused are all of the A's (e.g.) one word and then the B's ect. And do those words asuming that they are words start with that letter that they are made up from....does that make any sense? If it doesn't maybe I am not smart enough to play.lol.

Unscramble those to make this sentence - MAIA IS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER

The one giving the anagram (called TheMastermind) will give clues and confirm correct guesses. We also give the punctuation. It is a fixed anagram for that game.

The one who solves it then becomes the next Mastermind and gives their own anagram.

Yup, stuffisgood, you are right in your response. The Mastermind creates a phrase or sentence that is typically 4400 related (oops..sometimes we do go off in another direction but usually not) and we have to guess what the phrase is. The Mastermind, in this case Elessar provides us clues to send us in a direction to help solve the puzzle.

For instance, she said that one of my guesses using the word --- can't....her response was "Almost, Come on, Mickey, be positive" So maybe she is telling me to come up with another word that relates to her clue and the fact that can't isn't right. So my guess is to her response is...............optimistic maybe???? Is that positive enough, Elessar????

But it is a loads of fun and can get crazy sometimes. Megan, join in the fun cause it is just a lot of guessing. I typically don't get the correct guesses, particularly when Elessar is the Mastermind cause she can be tough. But not to worry...we just all join in an throw her bunches of words that may or maynot be in her sentence that she has proposed to us.

All except CAN'T. That word is close and I told Mickey to be more positive. See, we give more clues then the real Mastermind but we try to make them somewhat subtle to make it more fun.

Edited to say: Before Mickey guessed the word AWESOME, I had used it in a post to welcome Megan and I put it in italics. That was a clue that it was a word. I have left another clue for a different word in another post.
