Hi All! I ran across some fun news bits that I thought I'd share.

In the newest issue of Entertaiment Weekly, Sept.21st, 2007 (with, ugh, Britney Spears on the cover) our show Burn Notice got a nice shoutout in the as the Reader's Choice on the MUST LIST, with a nice lil photo which I've scanned here:


In the same ET issue, for their Thursday picks, they put this blurb:

ummm... which I don't quite get the "Backyardigans" reference, since that's a kid's show - huh? anyway, it's good to see some press for the show.

And, looks like Gabrielle Anwar & Jeffrey Donovan were out over the weekend at Entertainment Weekly's Pre-Emmy Party. I found some photos around the usual photos sites (sorry, I can't find untagged ones):

Gabrielle certainly rocks her own style! Love that she's wearing her Fiona bag!!! and JD is looking mighty fine!!!

Well, JD went to a fashion show dressed like the Unibomber!




I'm guessing that's his girlfriend, the requisite beautiful blond they give you when you make it in Hollywood.

I can do blond quite well. Don't think I can do Hollywood.

I saw that pic it's from the Entertainment Weekly Awards party a few days ago in California. I was wondering about the blonde too. But I don't think it's his girlfriend, I think she's just some girl who was at the party and the Press took the shot. I hi-lighted my hair blonde and still is, since everyone thinks I look better with it and not 'as mean". but I gotta say, I prefer being a brunette. And yes, it is the standard Typical to date the token blonde". Not taking anything away from anyone who is a blonde.

What a hunk!!!!! Im so in love with jeffery and gabriel is so pretty they look so good together, thank you for the pictures.

Whoa, GA...those boots are made for stompin'!! Something tells me Fi would love those.

Hopefully we'll find out who the mystery blonde is soon. I asked my girlfriend to send the picture to her daughter (who knows JD) to find out if she (the blonde) is JD's girlfriend or not. All my girlfriend has told me previously is that JD has a girlfriend (or at least he did at the end of the BN season), and the girlfriend worked for BN - she's not an actress, but is either an assistant to the directors, or does hair/makeup, etc.

While that would be nice, I don't think we should pry for more information. It's a nice picture. JD's shirt reminds me of one that I own and usually wear to places I need to look 15 years younger. (IE, movie screenings or events that are downtown in the village. My top is a a funky black sheer with a purple snake across it. And NO! I don't wear it often. I am over the age of 21.

Sadly, I'm going to have to agree with LuLuNY. HOWEVER, should information happen to just fall into your lap, that's another story! And then you must share!

Yeah but put it in a spoiler, since I don't really care about who any of the people are dating. Their personal life, IMO, should remain that.

I'm actually not all into personal lives either. But I did like hearing whether celebrities are nice people or not.

Well, living in NY and having people live in my building and just meeting them off the street is enough. Of course it makes good water cooler convo and I would be lying if I didn't say it would pique my curiousity but it isn't a pressing issue. As for JD being a nice guy, yeah, we all know he is. In Fiona's words "refreshing". And the best part, he's so damn hot too.

O.k. first. Jeffrey looks, as suspected, HOT and Gabrielle is wearing that bag I want! Who makes that freakin' bag?!?!?!?!?

A "nice guy" celebrity story:

A friend of a friend went to London for their honeymoon. They took the chance of standing in line for last minute tickets to a play starring Ewan MacGregor. As they were waiting, Ewan MacGregor showed up and said hello to the fans in line. During the small talk, they told him they were on their honeymoon and his eyes lit up. He went on and on about how wonderful married life is and now fatherhood then suddenly said that his friends couldn't make the show that night and gave the couple his comp tickets.

So it's you then...with you hi-lighted blond? If it was you...well...you'd be lucky. I hope these pics appear in the Entertainment Weekly for this week...because they are niiiiccceee, even with that blond girl, who isn't bad looking either way.

I agree too. It's his business and I respect this guy named Jeffrey Donovan, so whoever he is dating is obviously a nice girl and he deserves to be happy whether it be for a short time or a long time. She is lucky either way you slice it.

I was never a big fan of Ewan's acting, I'm sorry to say. But my friend, who's friend got the comp tickets, loves him to death and asked me to record the mini-series for her since she doesn't have cable. I was totally awestruck and impressed by him and Charley Boorman. Especially when they had to tackle The Road of Bones. Anyway, I don't see him as another pretty boy actor now!

BTW, I heard that FOX, not Bravo will be airing the US Long Way Down this fall. Do you know if that's true?

Ewan has been in a lot of indie movies like Trainspotting and The Pillow Book. Also known for being the new Obi Wan Kenobi and co-starred with Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge. Long Way Round was a mini-series documentary of him and his friend Charley riding their motocycles from London eastwards to NYC.

As for JD, I was going to say something similar about his very laid back look...but hey, he's been working hard, I think he deserves to play hard for a bit. But not like Britney hard.

Wow you guys are really perceptive. I thoght that the first second I saw the photo along with some other thoughts. He does have a glass of champayne in his hand. But alas, he could be tired too, or just not that into doing photo ops.
