I too want there to be another season and if not maybe Jacqueline , Joel and Billy would be willing to do a movie .
After 5 seasons of the X-Files Chris felt that a movie would some up everything that had happen already and let me tell you I learned more in that movie than I ever did watching the series although I did get grabs of everything in every eppie. You know what I mean?
I am hoping there will be a 5th season cause if they leave us stranded I will get honestly upset I wanna see if Tom lives and I wanna know what Happened to Jordan!

I agree, it's been a wonderful series and although I hope and pray for S5, I want to add my thanks as well!

They're still billing tonight's episode as the "Season Finale" and not the "Series Finale," so I'm holding out hope (and keeping my fingers crossed) . . .

These past 4 years have been a truly incredible experience. The 4400 took us into a whole other game park. It wasn't about the typical alien abductions but instead something very close to home: future humans doing the abductions. That in and of itself was a very cool way to take the show.
I am praying for a season 5 because I remember hearing that it was either Scott Peters or Ira Steven Behr saying a while back that they hoped the show would at least last up to five seasons. I'm really praying they get that dream come true.
Should this happen to be the last episode of the series (I really hope not!) but should it, it has been awesome reading people's post and sitting in on discussions. It's amazing to see how many loyal fans there are. If there weren't loyal fans, then the show would not have lasted as long as it has and there would be seldom people coming here to share a love that we have grown in.
The show taught me a lot about possibility. I had always dreamed of extraterrestrial possibilities but this show has made me bring my head "down to earth" so to speak and to view possibilities that exist in our own world.
It might take me a couple of days to see the finale tonight since I don't have a television in my dorm but when I do see it I will be posting like crazy!
So thanks to the cast & crew and thanks for the fans to whom I share a common interest with. This has been a blast!
(geeze, I make this sound as if it's my final post. LOL! It's not.)

I too would hate to see the series come to an end. Since they are billing this as the "season finale" I would assume that it is not over yet. They can't offer such a deep series of episodes and then poof end it....can they? Maybe the hype about this possibly being the end is an effort to generate more interest, kinda like a cliff hanger ya know?

They can end it just like that if the network has no interest in renewing it. It's not like the network has shown any interest in promoting the 4400, so I'm not too hopeful for another season. I want one very much, but I'm not too hopeful.

To sum up my thoughts and wishes for a new season: I've been a fan since the beginning, I've enjoyed seeing Maia grown up in front of our eyes. Kyle and his transformation. Isabelle at her bad/good girl image. Tom trying to do what's right and being taken over from the marked. Diana for loving so much and fights for the safety of Maia. Kevin for working on a research that will help determine who will survive the promicin shot and who will not. Tess for making people at the Hospital, construct a tower-like communication device that awakened Kevin. Meghan for me not liking her at first, but she grew on me (In a good way). Marco for being the brains in solving a lot of NTAC situations. Shawn for being taken instead of Kyle so you could have an incredible ability and also taking over 4400 center after Jordan died. Last but not less Jordan for dieing then coming back as a some what good person and creating promise city for what it would be a better place (or not). To all the Message board people here, I will not name each person that I’ve written to, agreed and disagreed with. If there is not another season…(I will write to the 4400 production office and USA Network). I just want to write that I enjoyed the debates and the theories from all of you. This was the first and my favorite place to come to as soon as my computer turns on. I hope to read your thought next year on the 4400 season 5.

hey bubba ,i've been meaning to ask you this, whatever happened to ur thread where u announced the episode ratings, i haven't seen them in a while ,what's up, i had come to look forward to it whenever i had time to hook up on the net to check the forum...is this info non available now,if that's so i still think producers and network know the numbers and just arent sharing with us not nice...*
back to topic ,i refused to hear anything about this been the end, i'm not ready to even think about hearing that, so please let this thread dissolved into oblivion , the're still hope, if i say so and you say so and all the members say so ,well positive thinking will make it happen, who's heard about the book "the secret" what do you think?
anyway i do understand the meaning of this thread and agree with the general sentiment professed here, it just that i feel already so sad to think this is the season finale and that all we'll talk about here from now on will be reruns and that for the next 9months or so ,so anything suggesting it might be reruns and dvd commentaries forever is just to upsetting to think of...on this i'll be on my not-so-merry way to watch last epi of season three...later guys
only 5h30mn left until someone's funeral in "the great leap forward".

Just wanted to put in my thanks as well, to the show creators, the cast and all of you here on the board! I hope this isn't goodbye and we'll see each other next season (well, I'm sure we'll all be around tomorrow anyway, after the finale - an hour and half before I glue myself to the TV). But anyway, thanks all for all the great debates and thoughts about the best show on TV!

If they are planning on cancelling the show (God I hope not after that amazing finale) we can always mount a massive fan campaign to keep it on the air. It worked for Jericho and the "Nuts for Jericho" campaign. I'd wager The 4400 has as many or more fans then Jericho did/does. Someone come up with something brilliant (okay we might want to wait and see if they announce it being cancelled or coming back first lol) and let's do it.

Why is everyone talking about there not being another season? Was it announced that there wasn't? are the ratings bad? There's still alot of unanswered questions. and isn't there an episode next week?

There's no episode next week, this was the Season Finale for this year. However, I, too, see no reason why the show should be cancelled. If there was any indication it might get cancelled I doubt they would've ended it on such a cliffhanger. But you never know, so we might as well bre prepared for good or bad news.

I think it was a great ending for the season and if God forbid the end of the series. I think it was awesome. I just don't like Seattle being turned into PC. I was hoping it would be more Shawn's way....come up with a workable solution for both sides to exist.

Ah, but that would be the easy method, and create very little drama for continuing seasons. Now, with Seattle becoming Promise City, we have enough tension still going, but a begrudging acceptance of their fate. What will really be interesting to see is if enough people took those pills to avoid developing abilities and how they will react to being governed by p-positives. I'm betting on an uprising next season.

Many times shows don't know if they are going to be renewed until after the season finale. That's what occurred last year for The 4400. However, in this case, it looks like they realistically wrapped up the series for it to be a Series Finale. Killing Isabel looks to be very final to me since she was the mystery, the main part of the plotline/story arc from the beginning and each season.
I haven't been posting much here but I have read almost all the great posts of others. I have watched The 4400 from the very beginning and have never missed a show. This has been my favorite series since The X-Files. I really, really hate to see it go. But even if it is renewed, it will not be the same without Isabel. I know I probably wouldn't watch it because her total absence. I felt that way when David Duchovny (Muldar) left the X-Files, but that show was redeemed when he made appearances for a few shows and the finale.
Well, so long everyone! Parting is such sweet sorrow!
