Anyway, Big fan of the show. I have been watching the first season on DVD all month and I noticed a little inside joke...and I don't mean pineapples.

In the episode "Forget Me Not". You know, the one with the mountain lions.

Well, towards the end, Shawn pulls the Missing Poster off the bulletin board and behind it is another poster only this one is from Shawn looking for a copy the Green Spirit Comic he ripped in Shawn vs the Red Phantom.

I paused it and it's pretty funny. He asks for a first printing and says money is no object.

Has anyone else noticed little things like that?

I totally missed that! I love little inside jokes like that. I remember being so upset that he would ruin such a valuable comic. I'm glad he's trying to replace it.

You really have to watch every episode to get all the jokes. My brother just started watching Psych this season so he misses some things. For example, in "If You're So Smart, Then Why Are You Dead?" when Gus was telling that teacher what he does and Shawn says "Dude, you didn't even mention Magic Head." I burst out laughing and my brother just stared blankly.

Anyhow, great catch! Yeah if anyone else notices stuff like that please share!

I've been watching a couple episodes on my laptop before I fall asleep. And it took me oh about five times through the season before I even caught the poster.

So, now and I'm ready to watch all over again looking for little inside jokes.

Damn this show for being addictive!

Actually my favorite throw back line is when Gus is pretending to be the anchorman describing how he just solved another murder and Shawn calls out over the speakers...."But ran screaming from the crime scene like a little girl."

"That was one time, Shawn. I don't like dead bodies. Now, stop bringing that up."

I didn't get that was a reference to the pilot...well since I sadly, didn't see the pilot until after the first season ended.

I love all the little jokes that they keep going throughout the season. Those are sometimes my favorites things-when they bring up past events like that.

sweet! now i have an excuse for watching my season 1 dvds again! did anyone notice that lately they sneak a pineapple in almost every episode? does anyone know where it is in bounty hunters? well its not an actual pineapple, but the sign for the Meadow Parking Garage has a picture of a pineapple on it.

this is true. Its like a game and a tv show all in one. You don't need an excuse to watch the dvds...Although, I probably would have gone insane if i didn't rewatch the dvds before the season started back up! HAHA

yeah i keep season 2 on DVR bc of the psych outs. its not really a joke but did anyone notice how sean had his arm around juliets waist when they are running to the green house in Forget Me Not? it doesnt seem like it was even supposed to be in there, but it is. its when shes trying to take off her shoes.

Me too!! Except I had to take a break for a bit and haven't watched any Psych for about 2 weeks. I am ready for more though, now I have an excuse, I can look for hidden messages. Great topic Marvin.

I saw that but the cat in that particular episode was an orange tabby and this one is black and white. Plus it has to do with running, so I don't know if it has a connection or not.

True, but Mrs. Pickles is an orange tabby. This cat looks black and white... but I can't be sure. If it is, there haven't been any black and white cats on Psych, so it's probably not connected.

in the second season, has anyone noticed that in rob-a-bye-baby, when shawn announces to the people outside the cafe that juliet said yes yo marrying him, a man sitting down has on the exact same shirt that shawn wore in spellingg bee? the green one with the big letters on the back.

Yeah! I totally remember watching that and I was like, "OMG! It's the crazy green polo from Spellingg Bee!" Or the Bring Socks polo, if you've listened to the commentaries LOL

They also refrence other eps. too. Like in "speak now or forever hold you're peace" shawn mentions lou dimond philips and then in the next season he gest stars. And of course mrs.pilckles is refrenced alot "WAAAAAAAHHHHHHH MRS. PICKLES!!!!!!!!" i love that scene!

Yeah, I don't get the pineapple. I noticed it in the commercials for last night's Psych episode but I don't know if I actually saw it during the show. Has this been going on now for all these years? I never noticed. What's it all mean?

You never noticed the pineapple?? Wow, its practically like the Psych symbol! There's one in almost, if not every episode. Shwan loves them!

I am another longtime viewer, first time poster, but I LOVE this show, and I have a pineapple reference I don't think anyone has mentioned -

- in the episode where the food critic is murdered (Meat is Murder....?) Gus pretends he is a psychic to impress his uncle. At the end when Shawn and Gus are at the newspaper office for the "big reveal" of who dunnit, Shawn tells Gus to just talk nonsense words. Gus yells out a string of words, ending with a big, loud PINEAPPLE!!

I laughed so hard, I had to back it up and watch it several times!

I just watched the seen where shawn kisses juliet and noticed when he does it at the end juliet gets out a stop watch and unloades her gun then loads it. I forgot what other episode she did that in .
