I'm trying to wrap my brain around what's going on with this show and I have some questions that I think the people here can help me with.

In last night's episode Jordan tells EvilTom (please come back to us NiceTom) that he (Jordan) went to the future and saw what it was like and it was not good. That's why he is making Promise City. What I'm wodering is if the future sent the 4400 back with abilities to change the future why are they trying to stop Jordan from correcting the environment for the future? Isn't he doing what they want him to do? Or is it that the Marked are part of the future but a bad part of it and for some reason don't want the future to change? Then why can't the good part of the future send people to take out the bad?
I'm confused......I know you will come to my rescue.

That's exactly what they've lead the audience to believe: that the Marked are trying to keep the future as it "was" - they don't want Promicin to be spread across the masses. They want the original timeline (with the catastrophe) to stay intact.

Great question, you're not the only one to ask it!

It is a bit confusing at times, I agree. Let me see if I understand what you are confused about. O_O It's quite possible I'm confused now...

Jordan is trying to basically, rid the world of anyone who doesn't have an ability, with going forward with people taking the shots, even though Shawn told him Kevin was coming up with a test that could tell who would live and who would die. Jordan didn't care, b/c in his perfect world, only people worthy of surviving the shot and getting an abilitiy, are worth living. That's what everyone in Promise City (or so we are led to believe) agrees with, and why they are Jordan's "followers" so to speak.

The Marked created Isabelle to stop anyone with abilities, whether they were in the original 4400, or took the shot, b/c they don't want the future to change, the future that Jordan saw. They want things to remain the same.

The rest of The 4400, are basically just going about their business, doing their part to help the world be better. Basically, what Shawn is trying to do with opening The 4400 Center back up, and trying to reach out and warn people about the shot, and the test that could tell them if they'll survive or not.

It's kinda a three-way battle at this point. Jordan's Way VS The Marked VS The rest of the world

So, um, haha, did that help...

Yes it does. You said "Jordan is trying to basically, rid the world of anyone who doesn't have an ability"
And this is because in his mind he is trying to prevent the catastrophe that he saw in the future and only people with abilities can help him - in his mind people without abilities are part of the problem, or potentially are the ones who are going to bring about the catastrope. So he's a good guy? Am I in the ballpark?

He is trying to prevent the catastrophe, as he's one of the original 4400 who were sent back for that very reason. However, he's looking at it now as though, anyone without an ability isn't worth his time and effort. When Shawn went to him to ask him to stop giving out shots until Kevin's test was complete, Collier wouldn't ablidge. He thinks, if they are going to die, let them die. They aren't worthy. He's not a good guy, and is using his new found messiah complex and Promise City, as a way to rule the world, or, his world.
