Okay maybe it's because I'm no longer a "teeny bopper" (as my mother calls it). I'm fort-nevermind years old.
But I was watching Evil Dead: 2 last week and honestly Bruce Campbell is way hotter now. I feel the same way about Vincent D'Onofrio and Mr. Donovan too. He looks better now than in his younger days. Now, if I was in my early 20s, maybe I'd feel differently. I dunno.

That's because women don't usually have to school MEN. Boys have to be led around with a short leash. We have to smack them on the head and push their noses in the mess they cause. Now a MAN can sometimes teach the woman a thing or two.

I think Gabrielle looks fine, she's got a couple of lines, but at least she isn't filled to the brim with botox so her face doesn't move. It gives people character, I like character. I'm 27 and I have lines on my face, everyone does or your face can't move. Don't know if anyone knows who Rosamund Pike is but she is like 29 or something and her face NEVER moves, EVER! Kinda creepy.

I know I am in my late 20's and I think a lot of men that are in their 30's and 40's and even older are very handsome/attractive. Granted there are some younger guys out there that are attractive but really, those handsome wrinkles and scars are sexy. I do think D'onofrio has aged quite a bit but I still think he's good looking, always liked him anyway. I always thought Bruce has been nice to look at, it's his humor that does it, and that he is from near where I am from.

Unfairly sexism but true, age is more unforgiven on women than on men:
It is sexism. But it's not about age being unfair to women as opposed to men. It's the perception of the "industry" that's unfair to aging women than to aging men. Men get distinguished while women get old. How often do we see leading men over 40 paired up with girls in their early twenties? As much as Burn Notice gets compared to James Bond, I'm sure glad the whole "Bond Girl" thing wasn't brought into the BN equation. Women are WOMEN because they earned it, they deserve it. And in my opinion, men are MEN when they accept that and don't keep looking for that elusive airbrushed busty perfection with no substance underneath.

I like that the actors are playing characters that are their age. JD is 39 years old and so is his character, Michael. Gabrielle's Fi is slightly younger at 37 and Bruce's Sam is 50 something. Their age is important because who would believe a 20-something would have the knowledge and skills that they all have. Mike, Fi, and Sam have been through some life experiences that have molded interesting characters.
That's what USA is all about. The only young show is Psych and those guys are late 20's. USA is #1 because they are taking advantage of this. Their demo is huge: 18-49. That is a large population. BN even moves further past that demo with characters like Sam and Veronica. Who can say that Audrey Landers isn't hot at 50-something?

Cool!!! I have DirecTV HD DVR on the TV in my family room. I never really checked to see when they would add the channels. I know they have been bragging all year that SOON they'd have more HD channels than any other satellite or cable provider. It's sort of like the boxers promoting their fights by saying how they were going to kick their opponent's @ss. There's actually nothing to stop the other providers from doing the same and I expect in time they will.

It's been a little slower then they expected but it's all starting to come together. Just got the memo with a listing of channels last Thursday, but not concrete dates. When did you get your HD DVR? If it was recent, you should be fine, but just double check and make sure you have a small grey box hanging out of the back that the cable is running through. Without it, you won't be able to get the new HD channels. There is a picture of what I am talking about in the "latest news" section of the DTV website under "Are you ready for the HD upgrade" or something like that. If you got the box this year you should be fine...
But USA was definitely on the list for October. Bummer because this entire group was supposed to go live this month, with September 15th as the target. But hey, good things come to those who wait.

I think the remark regarding Jeffrey and HD pics was just Cruel. Yeah, they always show women and "so called models" with airbrushed faces. But lines give character. Not one actress doesn't have lines on her face but in TV land they love to airbrush over everyone. Hell, I think we'd all look better airbrushed in real life. As for Burn Notice in HD. if so, great, if not, that's fine too. But I will stand by Botox for reasons other than fillers for lines. It can improve a person's face and if it helps someone who needs it than so be it. As for Jeffrey's scars etc... that topic has been overly stated. There is no reason to continously speak of it.
