I really want to support this film, b/c I love independent films and well, Tony too.

Ok when are they gonna start filming this movie?

Because i live about 5 to 6 hours away from door county, Wisconsin.
OtakuMayu
I only live an hour or two away from Door County (For now at least, since I'm moving.) but it's kind of cool to know there are so many more movies happening here. On my way up north, I passed Little Bohemia where Johnny Depp filmed his gangster movie. (In fact at like 7am in the morning on my way back I passed when he was actually there. I saw him getting out of a town car, but I couldn't take pics because there were guards and stuff by the enterance.) but it was still cool.

It's good for our state to get some of this revenue and exposure.

Plus I love Tony, so it's even extra great!

I'm about an hour away and have contacted the filmmakers to see if I can help with anything during filming ... bringing hot cocoa to the COLD people jumping into Lake Michigan, perhaps? ! (-: They said they'd love the help and I'm waiting to find out schedules/locations. I would be SO proud to help in any way with a film production in my state ... and of course, to meet everyone. Not just Tony (but him, definitely), but his brother Mike, and some of the other crew who "make the magic happen" in the industry. If/when I get to participate, I'll post photos!!

Filming has already begun, in fact they will be wrapping up in Door County within a couple of weeks and then finishing in Cali. The house of the pictures is at the Farm House which belongs to the Shalhoub family where a lot of the filming is taking place. I believe they are still looking for financial backers seeing as how the budget is less then 1 mill which does not go far. It is a very important project to the people involved so if you are looking for ways to help check out the Feed the Fish official website and on there it will tell you how you can contribute. The filming is very far up in Door County towards the tip and it's a very closed set because they need a lot of silence for certain scenes. In fact there are some Door County natives who are participating in the filming. Mike hopes to have the editing process done by late summer so he can premiere it in Door County as a thanks to the community for allowing them to shoot. So keep your eyes open and check out the site and if you are near by you can check out the premiere.

Oh, Alex, Thank you sooo much for posting the video. It's a great interview and Tony was so cute with that mustache. He reminded me of Ted Levine as the Captain. I thought he might be using it as a homage for him, who knows...
Great video!

I am sure Tony Shalhoub fans in the WI area are up to date, but in case you wanted the latest: "Feed the Fish" is going to be filming in Jacksonport this Sat AM/day for the day, recreating the "polar swim". Extras are told to be there @10AM to sign papers and not to wear red, black or white and bring your own lunch.

I don't have plans for the weekend. I never do. Tomorrow is the day that Ally & I go to Sister Bay to be filmed in the independent film, "Feed The Fish" ( www.feedthefishmovie.com ) . We're scheduled to be extras (unpaid) in a Concert Scene. I could care less if it's an unpaid part, or that I'm driving 2 hours away to participate in a low-budget film that I'll be spending several (if not more) hours involved in- doing whatever they'd like. I'm just happy to be apart of it. I need the experience anyway! Tony Shalhoub (From MONK) is in this movie, and I've always thought he was a really nice person, from what I've heard, and a really good actor. I hope I get the chance to meet him, along with the rest of the cast, and of course the crew- because when the director is involved- I'm going to be all over it, scanning his habitat, what he does, what it's like to be in his shoes. Oh, how I dream of being in a film director's shoes. I love it. It's ludicris .

Eminencia
I just watched it.
At first I thought: Oooh... that mustache...
But then... by and by I became familiar with that thing. It makes him cute, somehow.
And the contents of the interview is very interesting. He has so much warmth and passion for his home state. That's impressive!

I was there on set this day - no, I'm not in the newsclip, thank goodness, but I was there and had a great time watching the process!
