I am shocked that Martina was available as a commentator for the U.S. Open and she was snubbed by the network. Here's a recent article:
"I'll be giving all my great knowledge to the person sitting next to me," Navratilova said by phone Tuesday before she headed to the Hamptons for the Huggy Bear Invitational. "It's kind of mind-boggling. When you have a football team and Joe Montana becomes available, you don't say, 'Oh, we already have a quarterback,' but that's exactly what happened."
She said she hopes one of the networks will take her on next year, because she has a lot to offer.
Tracy Austin has to go. She's simply not up to the task. Martina was the voice in our heads for the French Open as well as Wimbledon. We are missing a great deal by not having her sense of the game as well as the continuity of reporting across all events.

But i totally agree, and I'm outraged that this happened. And her statement is ON POINT! Plus I hear Martina always Brings Sexy back. IMO
