Reaching

A tall woman of five feet, nine inches, long brown hair pulled up in a pony tail and navy blue eyes went out for her usual walk. She wore a black tank top, blue jeans and a small red jacket that had the words Canada printed on it and on the side the flag stitched on. She slipped on her white tennis shoes and headed out. She took her usual route up and around the nieghborhood of Manhatten. She got to an alley and heard small faint cries of a man. She stopped and turned toward the alley. She slowly headed down as it was dark and searched for the source of the sound. She came to the dead end and saw no man. She slowly turned around as something swung toward her head and pushed her to the floor, and everything became black...

She woke up in the hospital staring at man with dark shaded glasses and gray slick back hair. He was tall and seemed unhappy.

"I'm detective John Munch," he greeted. She turned her head away and she felt a pain shoot up her neck. She hissed in pain. "Are you okay?" he asked. She didn't answer. A shorter woman with a boy cut hair, brown and brown eyes came in the room.

"I'll take it from here," she whispered. The woman came over and sat down.

"I'm detective Olivia Benson," she introduced. John left back to the precinct. "You must be Macy," Olivia added. Macy ignored Olivia and kept thinking about what had happened to her. Macy couldn't remember anything accept the fact that her name was Macy and she was twenty-seven, but nothing else. Olivia smiled trying to cheer up the moment. "Look Macy, when you're better the doctors are gonna let you come down to the precinct and talk to us unless you wanna do it now," Olivia suggested. Macy didn't say anything. A cell-phone rang and Olivia answered. "Benson,"

"Olivia we got word from the doctors that she can come down to the precinct,"

"Okay," Olivia hung up and put her phone away. "Macy, that was my partner detective Munch and he sad it was okay for you to come down and talk, so I'm gonna help you to our station," Macy again ignored. She pulled the covers back and slowly sat up. It hurt her more to move her stomach than anything. "Careful, you have rib fractures," Olivia announced. She held out her hand and Macy took it for support.

They slowly got to Olivia's car and headed back to the precinct. It was slippery out side and cold, Macy's jacket wasn't warm enough, but good enough. They got inside and headed to an interview room. Macy sat down and Olivia sat across from her. "Would you like some hot chocolate, you look frozen?" Olivia asked politely. Macy nodded. Olivia got up and walk over to the door. She opened it enough to stick her head out. "Munch can you make some hot chocolate?" Olivia asked. John brought her a cup of hot chocolate. She handed it to Macy and she drank it. "Do you remember anything?" Olivia began questioning. Macy din't answer. She wasn't going to talk, not a word. All she could think of of was Amazing Grace playing over and over in her head like she was dead. "Can you tell me anything?" Olivia wondered. Macy still didn't answer. They sat in silence for a while. Finally Olivia got up and walked out.

"Is she talking?" Elliot asked.

"No, she won't budge," Olivia answered.

"I could talk to her," Elliot suggested.

Elliot went inside the interviewing room. "Hi, I'm Detective Stabler," he introduced. Again Macy didn't answer. "Could you tell me your name?" he asked. Macy turned away from him. Elliot signaled for Finn to come in and talk. He came inside. "This is one of my partners Detective Odafinn Tutuola," he introduced. No sound. Elliot left and Finn sat down.

"Hi, you can call me Finn, but we can't help you unless you talk to us," Finn added. Macy sipped her hot chocolate slowly. Munch looked in through the window. He watched her carefully.

"What could be wrong?" Olivia asked watching as well.

"She's terrified, she doesn't trust us," Munch whispered.

"Well, John you're our last hope," Olivia added. John went in and Finn left.

"Hi, do you remember me at the hospital?" John asked. Macy didn't talk. "What's your name?"

"Macy," she muttered

"It's a beautiful name," John complimented.

"My parents always said a beautiflu girl deserves a beautiful name, I don't see why they say that," Macy mumbled.

"I do,"

Macy looked up at hm in shock. "Can I ask you a question?" he asked.

"Sure,"

"How come you are talking to me?" Macy sat and tought for a moment.

"Because just by how you treat me I know you and I are similar and by that I can trust you," Macy answered. John sat back in his chair.

"I'm honored,"

"Why?" Macy asked.

"I'm not exactly the best friend," John admitted.

"I know the feeling," Macy agreed. Olivia, Elliot and Finn were shocked that she could talk to Munch and not anyone else.

"I don't get it, Munch?" Elliot wondered.

"Doesn't matter, she's talking," Olivia announced.

"She can't remember anything though what good does that do us?" Finn asked angerliy.

"Maybe she doesn't want to tallk to us," Olivia answered truthfully.

"Munch?" Elliot whispered.

"Look, Elliot I know it seems weird, but you gotta admit Munch as probably got something that we don't have," Olivia persuaded.

"My question is what," Finn announced. John and Macy sat in silence for a moment.

"Look, Macy I hate to bring this up, but do you know anything at from two days ago?" John asked his voice soft and quiet.

"Two days? It seems longer, uh... well I went out for my normal walk around seven-thrity, took my normal route, I got to an alley heard a man's voice crying for help, so I went down the alley, came to a dead an, turned around and something came swinging at my head and I was knocked out," Macy explained.

"So, you don't remember anything else?" Munch asked.

"Uh, no not really," Macy sipped her hot chocolate as Munch watched her. She looked back up at him.

"How's your hot chocolate?"

"Good," Macy answered.

"Can I get you anything else?" John asked.

"A place to lie down," Macy joked.

"We have beds if you want to stay in one," John auggested.

"Only if I won't be in your way," John shook his ahead. He stood up and went over to her to help her get up. She grabbed his hand and his other hand went on her waist for support. They slowly walked to the door. John opened it as they stepped out. Everyone stared at the two as they headed off towards the sleeping room. Macy sat down on the bed and slowly layed herself down.

"I'll stay till you fall asleep," John suggested. Macy nodded.

That's another great story. I wonder why EXACTLY she doesn't to the others, only Munch. But this is getting really interesting. What this bond is they share, like Macy put it. Pweaz go on soon.

He sat down on the bed next to her and proped himself up. He turned his head and watched her, as she closed her eyes and her breathing got slower. He observed the cuts and bruses on her face, arms and legs.

After about ten minutes John fell asleep too. Olivia came in and slightly shook his arm.

"John," she called. His eyes opened immedately. "It's after one," she whispered.

"How long have I been asleep?"

"A few hours," John turned his head toward Macy and watched her breathe.

"Does Captain need me?" he asked confused as to why Olivia had waken him up.

"Yeah, he wants to talk to you,"

"Just me?"

"Everyone," John got up and slipped his blanket on her. Olivia and John headed to Captain's office. John closed the door behind him.

"Okay Munch listen up and this is for everyone for future references," Cragen called out. Macy opened her eyes and saw John wasn't there anymore. She got up and walked over to Captain's door. She listened. "I don't want any sexual relationships going on between you two, it's too much of a risk!" Cragen ordered.

"Nothing is going on," John argued.

"I don't care just don't start anything that will screw us up! Got it!" Cragen shouted. John nodded and sighed a heavy, angery sigh. "Don't give me that crap John! Second what do we have so far?" Cragen asked. Macy left back to her bed.

"She was abused for long terms," Elliot answered.

"How long is long term?" Cragen asked angery.

"Since she was a kid her mother was abusive so was her father, but someone else has been abusing her and she has been raped more than once," Elliot answered again. John stepped forward.

"You telling me this has happened multiple times?" John asked confused.

"Yes, in the past eight years, and it's multiple people," Elliot answered.

"This is bull,"

"Meeting ajured," Cragen announced. Elliot, Olivia and Finn walked out the door. John started for the door. "Munch," Cragen called. He turned around with a dirty look on his face. "You're off this case," Cragen ordered.

"WHAT?!"

"I've seen this happen with you too many times, you end up getting hurt," Cragen explained.

"I don't need you to tell me me who I can like and who I can't like," John whispered.

"I can't fire you John," Cragen called out as John walked away.

"Then DON'T!"

John went over to his desk and sat down feriously. Olivia came over to him and she knelt down. Munch didn't even bother to look over.
"Look, if you're going to give me a lecture you can forget about, because I don't need this bull crap right now!" he gritted through his teeth.
"I wasn't going to give you a lecture, I was going to offer help, but apparently you don't want it," Olivia said gently. She stood back up and walked back over to her desk. Munch looked over.
"You," he points to Olivia. "help me?" he questions. Olivia shows a small smile and then nodds.
"Look, I never seen any girl look at you like that before, that is something worth saving," John stood up and walked back over to the bed areas and saw Macy laying there so peacfully.

I agree, Munch deserves a nice girl. Poor guy's been married 4 times, but they were all hateful. Is Amy the lady that was played by Marlee Matlin and whom Munch told the story about his father committing suicide?? If so, there definitely seemed to be a bond between them, but I don't know if it was a romantic thing. I think they only bonded because they had similar situations.

Macy opened her eyes. She smiled. John looked away he felt relucant about what he should tell her.
"What's wrong?" she asked her voice very smooth.
"Look, your going to have to start talking to the other detectives okay. It's not fair it's just not fair!" he began ranting.
"I don't understand?" she asked confused.
"I can't work your case anymore," he whsipered.
"What? No, John you don't understand-"
"I do they don't!" he bellowed. Macy looked away frightened. John got up and walked out a tear slipped from his eye.
