Thank heaven for the mute button. Isn't there any way to get motor mouth Austin to shut up? At least on the Direct TV mixed feeds there are other commentators on the same match! I guess we should be happy she is not also on CBS! I doubt a thought has ever entered Austin's head that she did not think it worth sharing with the world. She thinks she is hosting a talk show with video background.

I agree...........I have to watch most of the women's matches in silence! There has to be someone else USA can get to do the women's commentating!

I keep reading all this stuff about Tracy & how much she talks. Exactly what do you want her to do? If I am not mistaken the job of a commentator is to commentate which means her job is to talk. Everyone keeps saying they want her to shut up which translates into sitting & saying nothing. Now that might be the way a lot of people would like to have it but nevertheless that's not her job.If it's not her sitting there talking it will be someone else because that is the JOB.Let's face it--no matter who is doing the talking there is going to be someone who isn't happy--ya can't please everyone & from what i read here---ya can't please ANYone

You need to watch more tennis, in person or on the TV; people do not tal during a point; notice that if people in the stands are distracting, the chair tells them to sit down and shut up. Tracy should know that tennis fans want to watch the point, not to hear the voice over.

Are you kidding? Tracy Austin is the absolute best part of the coverage of the Open. She has the amazing ability to see the match through the minds of both players as the points get played. She's the equal of McEnroe in the men's coverage. It's that Ted guy who needs to show more verbal restraint.

Can someone come up with a button similar to the mute on the remote that will cut off the tv commentators voice only. Today I was watching the match on Universal HD, it feels like you are there at the open, the sound was so crisp and clear. I want to experience it more. Usually I mute the tv and watch.

Ouch. I couldn't disagree more. When Ted's not around he still talks over points (and far too often not about the tennis). He is and will probably always be the worst motor mouth the game has ever seen in the booth.
