I find Tracy Austin's analysis to be pedestrian and lackluster and occassionally completely wrong-headed. On top of that, she seems to hold racist and sexist views. At one point she suggested no more than two foreign players should be allowed on a collegiate tennis team as if the only way to save US tennis was by a heavy-handed policy of protectionism. She also kept talking about how "the girls" in tennis needed to be educated about their finances as if only young females would have trouble with those big numbers. Eww.

I agree - Austin is a disgrace. I was astonished at how biased she was against Shahar Peer this evening. She referred to her as a "different animal," called her "crazy" for challenging a call, and was constantly putting her down while complimenting Vaidisova. Totally unacceptable.

Thank heaven for the mute button. Isn't there any way to get motor mouth Austin to shut up? At least on the Direct TV mixed feeds there are other commentators on the same match! I guess we should be happy she is not also on CBS!
