ohmy.gif Wow! Can the USA Network show more than the same 5 ads from the same 5 companies all day long? This is unbelievable! I switch channels everytime they come on. To make matter worse they don't grow on you, they become more annoying the more you watch them. Come on USA, you can do better than this!

Andy Roddick - Tennis ball commercial
fairy tale commercial
Peyton Manning yelling commercial
McEnroe dispute resolution commercial
Lexus summer sale commercial
over and over and over

Can't remember the others, wait, let me watch for ten more minutes so we can see them all again.

If these are the guys paying the bills then I'd say they can be on as much as they want.

you missed the point! What if they showed the same tennis match over and over when you know there are other tennis matches being played. The point is, Lexus or whomever has lots of commercials to pick from. They put all this thought into the commercial but no common sense in how many times it gets played during the same show. I guarantee anyone who watched it for more than an hour or two ended up switching away after a while because of the annoying commercials. You probably like seeing the same thing over and over. You probably enjoy going to see the same movie over and over.

Ok--let's not get huffy. For the record---I have been watching tennis almost all day since it began so I've seen the commercials-- ALL of them. What's the big deal? They're commercials--go get a snack or make a bathroom visit when they're on. I also DON'T especially like seeing the same thing over & over--movie or TV show or tennis match or whatever.Just because I'm not over the top about repeated commercials doesn't mean I like to watch repeats of anything & everything.Once the Open is over how many times do you think you're going to see Johnny Mac in that commercial?Or Andy & the tennis ball? I've seen those Lexus commercials on other channels.Frankly it would be nice to have NO commercials but as I said b4--they are the ones paying the bills--if they want to put on the same ones then they call the shots. They repeat them because they want you to remember them--they don't really do it for your enjoyment--I don't think they care if you like them or not--just that you remember them maybe enough to look into buying a Lexus or whatever else the ads are for.Saturation is the name of that game---in my humble opinion--if it's ok to have one smile.gif

it's really easy to switch channels during commercials. And just to be clear, if it weren't for the sponsors you wouldn't be watching the US Open on U.S.A.

No kidding!! If I have to watch or listen to the Lexus tennis ball commerical with Andy Roddick or the apple computer commerical one more time, I'm going to boycott both companies. For those of in for the long haul of US Open play, it is unbearable.

They probably have a hard time finding advertisers because the USA Network SUCKS SO BADLY

Thank you! I love watching the matches but unbearible is the perfect word. It's really comical. I've gone into full block mode. Getting full use of PIP.

It doesn't take genius to figure that one! All were asking for is a little creativity. It's an insult to beat the same thing in your head all day long. I know American Express likes their cute little McEnroe commerical but I don't need to see it a hundred times. I would bet even John himself is a little embarrassed.

Don't know if they suck or not. They didn't have any problem finding advertisers, the advertisers have a problem asking them to show the same ones over and over. They did the exact thing on CBS all day. Drives me crazy.

Thanks for the marketing lesson. None of that makes it any less tolerable. I use PIP all day to block it out. In fact my family laughs about them we've seen them so many times. BTW, they must be trying to attact idiots if they think beating someone over the head with a commercial attracts new business. If they were good commercials I could almost tolerate them, but most of these are really annoying. I don't have enough unused brain cell to make room to remember these.

Take the ads away and the tennis goes with them.

Don't forget the Serena Williams commercial. I remember when RCA was an advertiser of tennis and they had a series of cute tennis commercials with the dog & the puppy. Thing is, I remember the dog, the puppy, the tennis ball, RCA & I don't hate them. They were rotated. They were cute. The commercials this year feel like they are on a loop - I so hate them by this point that I don't remember the sponsor. They just feel like fingernails on a chalkboard.

How about some VARIETY? Seem to remember that's the spice of life.
