Celebrity gossip website, TMZ.com, is reporting that Hulk Hogan’s son, Nick, was involved in a serious car accident earlier this evening. His condition is listed as “very very serious.” Nick was driving the car at a high-rate speed when it lost control and hit a raised media. The car, then, flipped around and the rear end of the car hit a palm tree. Upon impact, the car was destroyed.

There were two occupants, one Nick Hogan and another unknown male. The two were flown via helicopter to a hospital in St. Petersburg.

There was no 911 call made to police. An officer called the accident in after driving up shortly after the accident.

People Magazine, which reported that Nick Hogan is in serious condition while his male passenger is in critical condition, said that the Hogan family is presently in a private waiting room at the Bayfront Medical Center awaiting a further update on Nick's treatment. Hulk Hogan will likely address the media on Monday.

According to several witnesses, Nick Bollea (Hogan) was driving his yellow sports Toyota Supra at a high speed when his car careened out of control hitting a palm tree, which was in the raised median of a four-lane road. The rear end of the car slammed in to a palm tree on the raised median and “destroyed” the car upon impact.

The accident occurred on Court Street, which is a main drag in downtown Clearwater. Court Street is expected to be shut down until tomorrow morning while authorities continue their investigation.

Paramedics and firefighters had to cut both, Nick and his passenger, from the vehicle. The two were flown via helicopter to a local hospital in St. Petersburg.

Clearwater Police are investigating a high speed crash near downtown. Investigators say Nick Bollea, Hulk Hogan's son, was one of two people injured in the crash. One of the injuries is critical, but police tell us Bollea is not the one critically hurt.

Investigators say the Bollea lost control of the car and struck a palm tree in the median of Court Street.

Police expect to the have the road shut down in both directions into the early morning hours to investigate the crash.

Radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge, a known close friend of Hulk Hogan, said early Monday morning that Nick Hogan was released from the hospital.

"I just got back from the hospital, hulks son nick and a friend named john were involved in a pretty bad car crash today around 730pm, i cant get into details, but myself and my attorney kevin haslett were the only ones allowed to be in the trama center with hulk," wrote Bubba in a blog entry on his website. "I can tell you this, nick left the hospital with me when we were leaving and is headed home to rest, he is ok."

According to Bubba, John, the male passenger who was in the car at the time of the crash, remains in the hospital.

He wrote, "The other boy john, needs our prayers……….he is still in the hospital, thats all i can say at this point."

Nick and the passenger John were taken to the hospital Sunday night after suffering a bad car crash that left Nick Hogan's Toyota Supra destroyed.
