Hi, new forum member, big 4400 fan!

Has this bothered anyone else? The SECOND that Tom got that marked 'implant' my wife and I started screaming at the TV 'GO SEE SHAWN'!!!! But no, he never even thought about it. For some reason he thought it would be a good idea to go see a doctor and have a bunch of tests run...heck what would he have done IF the doctors had said 'Yep we see a problem' - he would have gone to see Shawn. He seems totally oblivious to the fact that Shawn has dealt with something like this before with Kyle, and should have at least told him about it. I hope Shawn CAN fix him and will soon find out about it. But really? No one thought about going to see Shawn at all? Huh.

Second is on Kyle. I figured that he would at least start to get wise about Cassie, but IF the 'journal' that the website publishes for him is true to his character, he is already considering killing off Shawn! I never really believed that Cassie was his ability, it always seemed a bit 'faked' to me, especially after this last episode. Hopefully his REAL ability will be known when EvilTom trys to whack him with a shovel next week. The threat of immediate death tends to bring out our best 'fight or flight' defences.

Anyways, thanks for letting me vent, hopefully you can add some speculation to all this! Can't wait for the next episode!!

Welcome to the board, Kiech! Well, I can't make out why Tom didn't go to see Shawn-others have said the same. I don't think Kyle will try to kill Shawn, although I'm not too sure about those two sometimes. I'm in a minority of one here, but I always thought when Shawn got the entity out of Kyle, he started out trying to kill him and then realized, when he saw the entity emerging, that Kyle was telling the truth about something inside him that made him kill Jordan. So I do think that Shawn unleashed his lethal power on Kyle in a moment of rage, wanting revenge for Jordan, but I don't think he would actually go through with killing him. And I don't think Kyle will try to kill Shawn, no matter what Cassie says. Did any of that make sense?

I just hope we see a turn for the better soon on this front.

I agree with you rocking that Kyle wouldn't ever hurt Shawn; but that was before he got all caught up in the 'movement'. He's so freaking brain-washed by Cassie and that damn book that now I'm not so sure if he wouldn't choose his cause over his cousin.

As for when Shawn got the entity out of him the first time: excellent point about perhaps Shawn was trying to hurt him at first. Never thought of it like that but it makes a whole lot of sense. Like he touched him in anger, but then felt the "problem" or entity and fixed him instead. Hmmm, cool.

As for Kyle, I think Kyle would hurt Shawn if he got pushed far enough. His journal showed Kyle's thinking as twisted and hateful, IMO. When push comes to shove Kyle will do whatever is necessary. More and more his journal reflects how he's gone from uncertain to dedicated no matter what. Reading his journal just gave me one more reason to hope that Tom whacks the crap out of him with the shovel.

I wish Tom would've gone to Shawn! But he probably doesn't know Shawn can be an exorcise him!

Really, he should have gone right to Shawn, but at this point, Evil Tom wouldn't allow that to happen.

And that's IF Shawn can remove it from Tom. I hope he can.

I've been wondering about Tom not going to see Shanw, it would be so "obvious"...
I think, I can't add something new...

Kyle and Shawn... I, too, thought that Shawn intendet to hurt Kyle at the furst place. Jordan was like a father to him. And Shanw doesn't have to smash somebody's face in, he just coan do other... And when he realized that Kyle was obsessed by that entity he tried to get it out of him... But I didn't think Shawn wanted to kill Kyle...

Another point why Kyle wouldn't kill Shawn is that Shawn is mentioned in that f.... book. So the momvement NEEDS Shawn, AS A HEALER, so Kyle shouldn't kill Shawn and he shouldn't rid Shawn of his ability...

the only way to stop that research is, that sounds mean, I knnow... But the only way to stop this research is to finish off Kevin... Shawn wouldn't be able to do the tests and research, but Kevin is... So there's still the "hope" that Kyle won't kill Shawn...

But finishing Kevin, allthoug I'm not sure if I like him, is also not a very nice thing to me...

The reason Tom didn't go seek Shawns help to remove the "entity", everyone seems to forget, is because Kyle and Shawn are the only two who know about what Shawn did to him. There was no one else there and they didn't mention it to anyone.

Kyle seems to be so inserted in his cultish cacoon, that he will probably listen to Cassie and try to off Shawn. But why would killing Shawn stop the research? It's the Kevin, not Shawn that can discover this. Shawn is just funding Kevin's work, and if the funding stops, I'm sure it won't be a problm, after all, Kevin discovered about the Promicin Inhibitor program without funding.

Maybe because Kyle killing Shawn would be burning his boats with his family? Kyle's family are the only ones outside of the movement that he cares about. Maybe Cassie wants to sever that connection so that Kyle has no one but Jordan and his people. And if he did listen to her and kill Shawn, he would be under her control forever.

Now THAT is a really good point. As far as Tom knows, Shawn can only heal sick or injured people. He has no reason to think that Shawn can remove an entity from a person-especially since it requires Shawn's killing power.

Thats not quite true. In fact it was big news on the show when Jordan came back and announced that Shawn had healed Kyle from something that controlled him...thus being a big reason for getting him out of jail. So this should be fairly common knowledge to anyone paying remote attention in the show.

Anyways, if Shawn and Kyle didn't actually bother to talk to Tom off camera about the experience - then I just see it as a bit of a 'hole' in the story.

Its times like these where I really want to own the dvd sets.

Jordan got Kyle out of jail because Jordan dropped the murder charges against Kyle, and convinced the judge let Kyle go free on the other assault charges. There was no mention of Shawn healing or curing Kyle when they were working to get Kyle out of jail.


Indeed.. a convenient one, perhaps, for the story writers.


I know, I love having them! I just rewatched all 3 seasons in the past week, and there was alot I had forgotten!

I wish I had the DVD's too. There's a lot I don't remember and God forbid I say something where I don't remember what happened I don't want to be told I wasn't remotely paying attention. How rude!

I have 12 remotes, 2 tvs,1 dvd player, a cable box and a vcr. Where's all the extra's come from? Maybe I have yours. There must be a black hole and all remotes come here to die.

The real question is why don't I just through out the ones I don't need? It's a fear of if I throw it away, something will mysteriously pop up that needs it. LOL
