Full Version: Mcmahon Should Want Tna To Succeed

oes everybody remember the days of the NWA/WCW vs. WWF? WCW and the NWA were heavy players against the WWF. In other words, they were big enough to have a strong fan following. Remember when wrestlers like Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson, Ric Flair, and Sid Vicious left the NWA? Big News. Remember when guys like Chris Jericho and The Radicalz made the jump? Big News.

Fast forward to today. The WWE's cupboard is bare. There are not too many wrestlers who are ready to make a major splash big enough to make things interesting. TNA has some good talent. Monty Brown (Marcus Car Von) has potential, but how many people had actually heard of him? Hell, how many people know who he is now? TNA is improving, but does not have a big enough following yet to make an "Impact!". If their ratings improve, and they get that following that past promotions had, then the WWE could get big splashes from TNA like they did with the other established leagues.

Do I want to see this happen? No. I think wrestling is better with competition from different organizations, not brands under the same umbrella. Reality is though, that WWE has more financial resources and it would be beneficial for them. They would have a "farm system" that they wouldn't have to pay for. It worked for them before. If TNA succeeds in the next year, WWE might have that oppurtunity again.

My favorite thing about them was when Bischoff would start going down the list of everything that happened on the taped Raw show and then say, "Now that we have that out of the way, we can now get to some real action."

More importanlty the fans should want tna to suceed. I agree with what you said especially that wreslting is better with competition.

Agree on what you said to a certain extent. I believe WWE is up for TNA getting bigger and more competitive, but not to the level that WCW was at their prime because if that were to happen again, Vince may not be bailed out this time by the television stations not wanting to carry TNA.

he should want TNA to succeed thing is if there is a monday night wars again
I just don't want TNA to go out of business I want them to stick around it can be a ratings war
but if TNA loses that shouldn't say well TNA isn't worthy cause TNA is Total Non Stop Action thats what the people want

I hope TNA does well, they deserve it. I never see promotions for TNA anywhere, not even on Spike, the TV chane Its prodcasted from where I live.
(that could be because I don't watch Spike as much as i used too. . . )
TNA has bunches of wicked wrestlers, some who were in the WWE, and left for one reson or another.
And I agree McMahon SHOULD want TNA to succeed. . . maybe the WWE would get better story lines.
