Full Version: Cassie Didn't Predict Richard Coming To Pc

Cassie is usually a know-it-all, but could not predict that Richard was coming to promise city (even though she was able to predict Mia coming to PC). She only appeared well after Richard took Isabelle with him telling Kyle "Well what are you waiting for, get Isabelle". Kyle didn't have a chance against Richard in taking Isabelle back, so Cassie sent Kyle on a useless mission only to get stuck on the ceiling. After this episode I'm beginning to think Cassie can not really predict the future, but instead know details of the future from some information source.. dry.gif

Unless you want to give her the benefit of doubt and say maybe she was taking a nap.

Nope she's not getting any benefit of the doubt from me, but then I've never believed her to be Kyle's ability anyway. tongue.gif

So, when Kyle fell off the ceiling, did he land ON TOM? And why did poor Di get hung upside down?

Cassie is not to be trusted the girl is a Bad PFTF. IMO
Sinjun
There could be another reason. Perhaps Cassie wanted Kyle to be in contact with Tom again. It isn't unreasonable to assume that Cassie would figure out that Tom and Diana would be after Richard and most likely if she sent Kyle the two could meet again.

Although I am not ready to believe this yet, perhaps Cassie is who she says she is and is actually trying to do the right thing. Here's how it would work -- Cassie knows that Isabelle could get her powers back and is naturally inclined to fight the 4400. So, she helps Kyle bring her to Promise City, where she can be kept from getting her powers back (and, in the meantime, can be converted to the P+ side). Sort of the keep your enemies close idea. Of course, to believe this, she would need to explain why she didn't just come out and tell Kyle that Isabelle is a much greater threat to PC on the outside so that he could inform Jordan.

Instead, she sent a defenseless Kyle after a guy who can pin three people to the walls and ceilings while bowling with NTAC agents at the same time. I am not sure why she would do something that really only could lead to Kyle questioning her.

I believe that Cassie is a part of Kyle. Maybe like a sixth sense. I'm not sure she really knows what might happen just that this is where Kyle needs to be or what he needs to do. If Cassie represents a part of Kyle then maybe she sent
him after Issabelle because of his deep feelings for her. Since Kyle has grown very close to Issabelle I think this is
reflected in his ability, which is Cassie.

Um... yeah... like that.

Maybe so Richard could see that there are others who care about Isabelle.

I think it's a mistake to assume that everyone is perfect and everything is always going to their plans. It could be that Cassie wanted to know where Isabelle was because of the saying "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer" (when Isabelle was taken into promise city) It could be she doesn't know what will happen with Isabelle. It could be that Cassie was paying attention to other factors and Richard wasn't a high priority so he slipped on by. It could be that there are 4400s who can make Richard invisible to whatever Cassie really is. It could be that Cassie let Isabelle get taken because she wanted a certain set of events to happen. There are quite a few valid reasons for all of this to happen.

Yes, I don't think we know how Cassie "works". Obviously she isn't just part of Kyle because she knows things he doesn't, but she's not omniscient either. What is the scope of her power?

This is very true and I posted in another thread how these people are under extraordinary stress... it's no wonder they are messing up left and right.

Plus we analyze the heck out of their every move - I know I wouldn't fare well under such scrutiny!

Izzy and Richard saw how Kyle cares about Izzy. Now that Izzy is young again, perhaps when she is older again she can get her powers back. With Kyle showing compassion toward Izzy, perhaps she sticks with the movement and Collier has a powerful ally.

Yea something up with Cassie. I'm not giving her any slack. But on the other hand who's perfect? But she knows that Kyle didnt have a chance against Richard. Wierd? Will Cassie end up being a friend or a foe?

It could be maybe Cassie didn't see it fit to tell Kyle right away, hoping he'd go after her on his own. Kind of like the mentor easing up, seeing if the student has enough strength and whatnot to make it on his own. Plus, she got to throw in that little tidbit "Even Messiah's aren't right all the time" (paraphrasing! I forgot the exact words). Maybe she wanted to forwarn Kyle to be persistent, and not let Jordan make his own decisions when the directly conflict with Kyle's, like the instance in this episode.

Or maybe I'm reading too much into it!

Was it me or did Cassie almost seem distracted by something when she told Kyle what she told him.

Distracted? I thought annoyed. As if. Since when are abilities allowed to get annoyed? wink.gif

hmm that it might be some evidence that she isn't one of the marked. they'd probably be thrilled that Isabelle is within their grasp.

I don't know who Cassie is working with but she is just not kosher.

Maybe she didn't know or she just decided not to tell Kyle as some kind of test to see how far can he go for Isabelle.

why would his ability test him?
Pau
Why she wouldn't know that Richard was coming to PC?

I just think about that as a possible explanation.

It kind of all fits into the whole "cassie is not an ability" theme. I don't think abilities can test their "owners".
