Where've you been, it's not the 1st time. LOL

By "They" I assume you mean USA and not the 4400. I'm sure the producers have to approve whatever trailer is made for the episodes so maybe it's a mute point but when you think about it in the context of the actual writing of the show there is no flaw in the storyline to suggest the writers ever misled us on this one. I would blame whoever did the preview.

Misdirection. It's an OLD trick to think you know more than you do. And never trust previews to really say much. Even if its fun to go through them frame by frame.

Actually, it was interesting that they did say two wouldn't make it. It kept you wondering if they really would die.

I don't think it's a lie to say two won't make it out alive because the two didn't make it out alive -- out of the game that is. If they lied about anything it was the number who didn't make it out cuz there were three that died not two: Meghan, Shawn, and PJ. wink.gif

The whole show is a scam ... they don't really have powers ... they are only actors ... I think ...

I loved your reaction, that's exactly what I said to myself. "Ain't nobody really dead!" lol And as far as I'm concerned Meghan can GO. But I've already expressed myself on that one....

most previews for this show, and for almost any show or movie for that matter are all taken out of context.
The 4400 really uses these techniques a lot, along with dream sequences, and lots of misdirection.

right when i saw the previews for "No Exit" i knew it was most likely not real, or some kind of dream sequence.
i was just hoping it wasn't an extra crispy ability, and more along the lines of people from the future stepping in, which it wasn't sad.gif
the writing on this show is getting less creative and more predictable as the seasons go on..

Not to nitpick but 5 actually died (Tom and Jordan). But then again, when you hear "5 will not make it out alive" you know it is BS before the episode aires, while two seems plausible.

Good point, Katatonik.

In this particular case, nitpicking is good!! cool.gif

Besides, when they said that two would not make it out alive, recall that they did not say "only two"! So technically, they didn't lie.

Except that they made us believe people would be dead and they weren't. Not that I'm complaining-I didn't want to lose anyone. biggrin.gif

Did Jordan and Tom actually die????

I think they did, Elessar, but as you say, it doesn't matter because nobody really died. This is the second time Jordan has died and got better. He's my favorite character, but I don't like this trend. I hope they don't kill Jordan anymore. unsure.gif

Hey! What about a love interest for Jordan?!

I mean, if Tom and Diana can have one, it seems only fair that Jordan should get one, too! You know, it has been a while since Jordan last rode that horse! Are we all to believe that he has lost all interest in the horizontal mambo? Even Shawn can still get his pump primed, although he hasn't made the best bed choices, has he?

And no, let's not revisit the possiblity of Jordan and Kyle knocking boots! That would just weird me out!

Who would you suggest for Jordan, MaiaFan? I can't think of any of the ladies we've seen, myself. Say, I wonder if Devon will come back. True, she died, but Jordan has died twice and he got better.

This may sound wierd, but I think that a Meghan - Jordan coupling could actually work! They are both hotly passionate people, and may even find that despite their political differences, they are quite compatible! Only question is, how will the writers wrangle that?

I know how I'd wrangle it. I'd have somebody kidnap Megan and inject her with promicin, to send a message to NTAC. That could bring her within Jordan's sphere of influence, and it would also introduce the absorbing topic of what will the government do if someone is injected and develops an ability against their will? For example, the autisitc boy has gone free-for now. If this government becomes more repressive, will he have to go to prison for being P-Positive, even though he did not take the shot of his own free will?

I think Heather Toby would be a good balance for him. I could picture them together.

It was a good play from the USA; we must recognize that we were all anxious or expectant to see which two characters died. blink.gif

well see wut they really said was will two people make it out alive??!! see there is a diff if you really think bout it they dnt say two people wont make it out alive lets compare.

two people wont make it out alive

see now think about it
JustChillin
There is a difference between those two sayings. But the clip said "two won't make it out alive."

Totally off topic but I see people quoting elessar but i don't see her posts did I some how block her or is anyone else having this prob
zippylittlerat
Elessar deleted a couple of her posts. It threw me off too at first wink.gif

I guess the point was, two wouldn't make it out of the game alive, which was true. They certainly didn't! But I wonder what would've happened if they didn't succeed. If everyone had died, would that have killed everyone in real life? The whole point was they had to conquer the obstacle before they got out, and dying doesn't count as succeeding. How creepy!
