Lycoris
Well, hey, hmm guess this shoulda been first stop, ah well, tradition is overrated.

Hi, I'm Lyco, I love Psych, and am currently here, don't know how long I'll last, tend to dissappear from forums all kindsa fast most of the time. Tis my nature.

Umm anyway, Lassyface is, by far, my favorite Psych character, but Spencer, dang him, is far too prone to rub off on me.

I love drawing, and yeh, already found my way to the fanart topic, yeys.

Welcome to both of you!
Mesmer
Hi! Mesmer here. That name comes from an old Alan Rickman movie I just love. My real name is Angela. Big time Psych fan. My sister introduced me to it. I wasn't sure I would like it, then Tim Omundson appeared on the screen! Luuuuuv that man. The show is hilarious!
I live in Virginia. Married, 2 dogs (Husky and Chow-Chow). I am a big fan of Alan Rickman, Tim Curry, Tim O., and the whole Psych crew. Hobbies: theology, history, reading, movies, and weaponry.
Yeoboseyo
Hi, I won't reveal too much about myself (it would be too boring), but I'm a San Diego native, but I've lived a lot of my life in other areas of California, as well as a lot of time in Bali, Indonesia. I'm a performer of traditional music and dance of Bali and Central Java (just look up "gamelan" on youtube to see what I exactly play), and have been doing this for over 15 years.

I also can speak (to various degrees) seven languages, but instead of telling you what they are outright, I'll just give their equivalents of "Hi, how are you, nice to meet you". I'll be impressed if anyone can guess four or five of them - Doubly impressed if anyone can guess all six correctly:

Hi, how are you, nice to meet you (a given)

Clue: my handle "yeoboseyo" is the standard telephone greeting for one of these languages.

I'm very picky when it comes to TV. Psych has become one of my favorites. I also like "Are you being served?" (A Psych episode taking place in a snooty department store ala AYBS? Not such a bad idea IMO.) Last but certainly not least, I am a longtime fan of the ORIGINAL Iron Chef, pre-Food Network (this was in the mid-nineties), when episodes were fully subtitled - I was part of the Bay Area underground fan network and got several of my friends addicted to the show even before the dubbed versions came out on cable, hehe.

And oh, I can't forget the show that reminded me so much of Psych in the first place - Kuitan (The Gluttonous Detective) from Japan.

Hi, My name is Priscilla and I am 38 live in Dallas and I work in the Financial Aid office at a community college. I have 4 parakeets and love Psych and Monk. James and Tony are soo hot!!! I love bargains, parimutal wagering, Howard Stern and Las Vegas. My screen name comes from a dance club that had a great 80's music night.

When I first came here I was looking for this thread... but I was a tad bit lazy at the time so I didn't go far enough back in the board. And I just wanted to get to posting.
But now that it's here...

Hi peoples!!!!!!!... I'm JoeyLeigh... you can call me Jo... or Joey. I am in college (so factor in age from there). I was born in Canada... raised in the outskirts of Detroit. I love taking pictures and filming. I want to travel the world someday, all I gotta do is get outta Michigan. I love Michigan, it's one of a kind, but I don't wanna stay here forever.
I love music... it's my passion... I live and breathe it. I could talk for hours about it (that and movies). I couldn't even begin to tell you what my favorite bands are... but they're probably from the 60s, 70s and 80s, but not so much the hard rock. Wait... I can tell you I'm a big fan of Creedence Clearwater Revival/John Fogerty, Huey Lewis, and Bruce Springsteen. I also grew up on most of the late 80s stuff and it kinda stuck with me.
I've been watching Psych on and off over the past two years, more religiously during the second season. I used to watch Stargate SG-1 on Friday nights and tape Psych since they were on at the same time. I was fully delved into the SG-1 fandom then, but now that SG-1 is over, I finally found my new favorite show to get hyped about... PSYCH.

*waves hi*

stargazer1909
Just saw this topic and thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm Kerri, I live in the typical middle-of-no-where town in southeastern Iowa. I love Psych (obviously), along with Monk, CSI:Miami, Ghost Hunters, Greek, and so many others. I've been told multiple times that I watch too much t.v. and I quite agree and find nothing wrong with that, lol. I also love books, writing, drawing, and making jewelry. I'm enrolling very soon into the GIA, the Gemological Institute of America to become a jeweler. So excited about that! I love to laugh and I'm always up for sharing funny stories with people.

okay... I'm gonna take a few guesses:
1) English (though it could be Canadian.... lol)
2) Indian (er.... is that a language? Hindu maybe?)
3) Spanish
4) Japanese
5) Chinese
6) I'm guessing Phillippines (I dunno what language specifically)
7) Hebrew? (lol... i really dunno)

You posted a link somewhere else on this forum. That was a good episode. I've never watched an episode of TV in a different language before... so it's was interesting and fun. Wait... I watched a movie with Spanish subtitles... and since I only count and know a few phrases in spanish... like "Hola... Terra a David" or something... and then "Me Gusto Queso" which I learned from Psych... yay... ok, I'm rambling now... lol...

Hi! I've been watching Psych since it started airing and I just love it. I'm so happy to find there's a forum full of people who love it just as much as I do. I finally bought the Season 1 DVD last week. I can't stop watching it! Every time I rewatch an episode, I catch a joke I didn't see before. I love all the witty banter and clever storylines. I'm a big fan of The Office, so my standards for comedy, writing, and just plain fun are pretty high. Psych fits the bill perfectly! I can't wait to jump into some of the discussions on this board.

1, 4, and 7 are correct. 3 and 5 are close, but think of neighboring countries. 6 is indeed from the Philippines. 2 and 7 are the stumpers, but are really interesting languages.

Was this the quiz show one, or the introductory episode? (You should definitely watch the introductory episode - it's really quite ingenious.)

3 - Portuguese smile.gif
5 - Taiwan? Korean?

My next step is to google 2 and 7... lol... but i'd rather have you tell me...

3 - The other way - it's French (I just can't type in a cedille for the "c").

5 - Bingo, it's Korean. If you see an Asian script in blocks with lots of circles or ovals, it's most likely to be hangeul, the Korean script.

7 is a hard one - it's Balinese, spoken primarily on the island of Bali.

Can anyone out there guess #2?

Looks like we've got a few new people around here...

Hi new peoples!
sparkythewonderweasel
Okay, I guess I'll introduce myself.

Hi, I'm Sparky.

I'm an 18 year old female college student. I'm pursuing a Nursing Degree(won't find out if I got into the program until July). I work part-time at the local grocery store. I live in the USA in a state that I swear is bipolar(one day it's in the 50's, the next it's snowing).

Likes: Bowling, video games(only a few, but they are awesome), and chocolate chip cookies.

Dislikes: Pickles, nuts, homework, public speaking and the sound nails make when drug across a chalkboard

Hi Sparky! Welcome to the boards!

What kinda video games do you like?
sparkythewonderweasel
I like playing guitar hero, Spyro(old school playstation), Grand Theft Auto, and then there's this one stuntman game that my brother has...its fun.

Rayman Raving Rabits on the Wii is also a blast to play. Although I sold my Wii...i really shouldn't have done that!

Thanks for the welcome!

Wow, I haven't heard of Spyro in such a long time!

And I too play guitar hero... it's the only thing I play on Playstation... aside from DDR.

Hi,

I'm Tana.

You can probably tell from the nick and the avatar that I jumped boards from CBS and Jericho (hey anyone at USA wanna bid on continuing the show?) because of the utterly, amazingly gorgeous, and just obscenely talented Tim Omundson, who I've been following since way back in, (okay, I'm old, nearly 52) SeaQuest (yes I noticed him back then.)

How I missed the part that he was in Psych? I got no clue, but here I am, however late to the party, and kicking myself that I took so long to get here.

Funny thing is I've always been a Dulé Hill fan, and somewhere in my brain, I knew he had a new show. I still have no clue how I missed checking it out for over TWO whole years. Probably intermittent lack of cable channels and a desire to not fall for a series I might not be able to continue to see.

So, I'm playing catch up. I've only seen like 5 episodes so far, and I love it, I've never laughed so hard watching a "supposed comedy" as I've laughed watching this show. Which I think is the mark of real comedy. They don't force you to laugh, they just sneak up on you and you're giggling your head off.

Nice to be here.

Tana

ShawnSpencer
(sorry my dog needed out and i didn't mean to post. But to finish) when the weathers bad, I can just surf on the wii! Maybe like a Psych game. You would like solve murders, while eating pinapple and convincing people you are psychic.

Dude, you'd be my hero if you could create a Wii "Psych" game... or a 3D game... like the Sims or something... or like Second-Life online...
psychout89
that would be sooooo totally amazing!! smile.gif

I would but I can't. I am pretty computer savvy. Just not in game making...lol

Any way, along with my nickname of Mutt, now another nickname is Speed. As in Speed Racer. See me and my roommate wanted Apple Jacks, so I ran to the store to buy some. (WE GOT A FREE INDIANA JONES SPOON!! ISN'T THAT AWSOME?) On my way out I held the door open for this old lady, and she says,

"Why, Thank You Speed Racer!"

I don't know if she thought I looked this guy Emile Hirsch as Speed in Warner Bros. Pictures' Speed Racer - 2008

or this guy

Lol, don't feel pathetic. You can only upload gif, jpg , jpeg, and png pictures. If it's something else, you should be able to change it by opening it, clicking Save As, and then changing the file type. I hope that helps smile.gif
