Chris had asked if I was coming to the show at the Princess Theatre and I wrote him back and told him no. I am so scared of interstates and high bridges. I was talking to a friend and he said that the bridge I had to go over was flat. So I decided to get tickets to go.Got to Decatur and saw that bridge coming up and thought I was gonna have to miss the concertIt wasn't flat but kept telling myself your going to see ChrisYou can do this. Finally got over it and went fount the Theatre.
We got our Greet and Meet passes and went in to meet Chris.I told him I thought I was the only one in the world that didn't have a pic with him not smiling. He said they must of snapped it late or to early. So he was kind of enough to make sure that this one came out with him smiling.I asked him to sign a picture for a very dear friend that I made her and he knew who I was talking about and said she was such a sweetheart.
I got to meet a few people from Chris message board which is always great to meet more Chris fans.
When we got to go in and the band was on the stage and then Chris came out and the crowed just went wild. I have never seen so many pictures being took at once in all my life.
He sang several songs like Beer or GasolineFlowers. And he sang one I think it was called Ain't Over 'till It's Over" Drinking Me Lonely and more and even had everyone sing Happy Birthday to Cindy of the theatre and she was singing Happy Birthday to herself too. They did this one thing and you couldn't tell that it wasn't really bag pipes playing. They did that for Ms.Terri the fan club prez husband.Chris came out into the crowed and shook hands with some and gave his pick to on person. One woman hollered she drove 8 hours to see him So the guitar they were giving away they gave it to her.
He ROCKED the Theatre and so did his fansTo tell you how many was letting other people hear him that couldn't come or lived to far off to see him listen to him on the cell phones. That is a true fan that helps another fan.
Chris stayed afterwards as he always does and signed autographs.
I would just like to think my friend for telling me the bridge was flat or I would of missed another GREAT show.
