You know in the whole 4400 story Tom and Shawn were hurt. People always use Shawn and he must always be disappointed about people he tried to love or something.
Tom loves(Kyle,Alana),but he always must fight for them and it usually not works...
I not like the sorrow about them, Shawn's my fav. and i like Tom a lot to (so do i with Richard and i hope he'll be back soon).But i don't know maybe this sorrow makes them to my favs? cause i'm that person.:]

I think that they both are workinf for the same thing. They are trying to find an intermediate point, a point “of peace”, between people with abilities and without abilities.
Jordan wants the habilities people.
The goverment want the non-abilities people.
Shawn, Tom and Diana wants both of them and try to conciliate them.

Someone on here said Tom and Shawn have more of a father-son relationship than Tom and Kyle. I can see that more with each episode.

I said that.Yea..it really showed that in the last episode.The first person shawn called to see if he was okay was tom.Kyle didn't even bother making the phone call.That got me pissed.It seems to me that tom and shawn have more similar personalites than tom and kyle.

Ya i just realized that when I read your post. Jordan called Tom to tell him Kyle was ok.

In the last epi Jordon said something to Tom about how close he is to Shawn and Tom said that Shawn's dad left when he was really young and Tom became his father figure. I think Kyle is like any young man wanting to be on his own and be independent, so they end up butting heads. Shawn is more laid back and has had more responsibilty thrust upon
him when his father left.
