You must be a huge fan of steriotypes then. Here's one for you...That show was nothing but American ignorance at it's best. Is there really a need to give Canadians an oppurtunity to think Americans are asses. There is nothing wrong with friendly banter between friends, but a show to air on an american network that openly mocks a nation. And very innacurately represents it. I don't think Americans need more innacurate beliefs and steriotypes to put on other nations. I've met people who think that Canada is above Alaska, people really do live in igloos, Canadians don't have television, they don't have summer, it's a third-world country, a socialist country, that police always wear those mountie uniforms, that Canadians don't know how to speak American (? - it's all english), they don't have any coastline, they all say "eh", and many many more. Is there really a need to further the ignorance of a country that is America's neighbour, friend, and Allie. Plus, it wasn't even funny. Way to pushed for humour.
Well that's one way to look at it if you intend to miss the whole point.First of all...Who cares what Canadians think about Americans? Yes the show didnt accurately depict true canadian life style at its best..So what...The purpose of the show was to spoof the Secret Service in general by showing that Canada "had one too",Only theres sucked in comparison to other nations version of the s.s...Besides Americans mock canadians on the regular...This is nothing new...To add to that,The show was the first positive representation of Canada in a long time...Finally a canadian show that entertains! We really need to stop being so sensitve...It's like political cartoons...Some countries want to saw your head off for mocking their presidents..But why?...If flava flav can sit and laugh while white people racially roast him,Than I dont see what anyone has to say when it comes to making fun of each other...A lot of us need to lighten up...And if you believe that Underfunded was "Way to pushed for humour"...Then you obviously never watched it stoned...Shame on you!
