Thanks Bubba. I didn't like Numb but I do like the ratings increase. Let's hope it carries over and this is not just a bump due to Switch.

Wow... that is awesome news!! This "new" DZ has been pulling in a lot of new viewers, and I think that by the end of the season the new and the old viewers are going to be happy with the way it went (at least I'm hoping). I'm getting really excited about that "puzzle to solve" thread... Also, I'm in the minority, but I would love to learn more about JJ's feelings. I'm looking forward to next week, and if we keep getting numbers like these (and hopefully even higher) then there may even be a 7th season!

BTW, we beat the 4000 again...

The 4400 (USA, 9pm, 61 minutes)
- 2.081 million viewers
- 1.3/2 HH
- 0.8/2 A18-49

The Dead Zone (USA, 10:01pm, 59 minutes)
- 2.402 million viewers
- 1.5/3 HH
- 0.9/3 A18-49

I've actually missed the initial showings both of the last two episodes but caught them again at 1 am, I sure hope they take that into account.

As for the ratings, if they can stay at 2.5 avg for the entire season with NO advertisment, I think it equals to them the same as 3 or 3.5 but spending the money on advertisement.

The fact that I keep seeing ads for shows on Sci Fi channels during the dead zone or USA network in general is disapointing knowing that not many people even watch sci fi channel, it's a genre channel yet they will advertise shows there but not even shows on the network were currently watching.

It's weird how sci fi and usa are sister networks now, but dead zone doesnt show up on sci fi for re runs but when they weren't sister networks they did.

Also, if we continue to beat 4400 working in a more competitive time slot and we get canned and they don't im going to be quite angry, it doesnt look good for us if 4400 is dying in ratings because it's been one of there biggest rating getters and were killing them and were not even no where near where we use to be.

They need to take the following into account

They never advertise, not like seasons 1-2
Sunday night at 10 is prolly the busiest time slot during the summer run now and it wasnt always like that.
It's beating a show that is on a hour earlier.

I bet, if dead zone was to change to 9 and 4400 to 10, DZ pulls in 3 mil easily, maybe 3.5

I think it's been very reliable and is the only show they have that can succeed in that time slot and I think they rather just keep producing this show then taking a chance on some new show with no history with the audience and the time slot being as popular as it is now, it would be so much harder to try and get something up in it.

I was just over the monk board, and it got 5 million for it's last episode.

Maybe it's time Dead Zone thinks about changing it's time slot, I rather it stay in it's time slot and if we are gureenteed new seasons then I personally could care less about ratings but I know as a personal opinion that if you put it in a less competitive time slot (it's not going against just one show, atleast 5 popular shows are in this spot now) people will watch it again.

Friday night after Monk would do wonders for the ratings, you have a 5 million lead way in, and you have the 2.5 million DZ fans.

Even with people going to the movies friday night, going out with friends to bars or whatever the ratings would still be higher then what were currently getting.

Just get us more seasons. This season like any other has worked more like Heroes or Lost, where each episode has more to do with the last then it has ever had for this show. It can go in a new direction if they want to finish the Armagedden angle.
