With my "great" ability to spot little (possibly pointless) things and well the invention of the pause button

I found out a few things about Lassy. In episode "Poker? I Barely Know Her" as O'Hara is on the phone with his mom she has his personnel file out. His Birthday is February 22, 1969. It also states on file as of Dec 31/2006 he is 37. Lots of other neat stuff on it. Anyone else catch this?
Now that you mentioned it, I remembered that I wanted to look at a few things in that episode more closely as soon as I got the DVDs.

I wanted to get a closer look at Lassiter's mom and what we could see of her home around her. There're are a few things of interest, and a couple of things that just amused me. I got pictures. But the Photobucket made them smaller, sorry. Still, I think you can see well enough.

Note the police scanner or radio thingy on her table, and the policeman's hat hanging behind her. Also, I was amused by the size of both her coffee cup and her remote control. She likes her caffine and remote, and I think I see where Lassiter gets his control issues. I hope she eventually tries decaf, though. So is that Lassiter's hat behind her or his dad's? Is his mom something like a police groupie?

I can't make out everything on the other table behind her in this second picture, but that is a set of binoculars there, right by the window. I bet she's the pride of the Neighborhood Watch. Also, I thought the cactus was just a nice, amusing little touch.

But what I found most interesting was her choice of reading material! She has an interest in the occult, it would seem. Besides the books that I was able to write the titles and point out, there was another called "The Twelve Gods of the Pantheon". I wonder if we'll see her again? Maybe if she finds out that her son works with a 'psychic', and wants to consult with him about something? Maybe this has something to do with why Lassiter hates psychics and the very idea of them so much? Has his mom been ripped off by unethical psychics? This is something interesting to muse over. It would be funny if she found out that Lassiter works with a pyschic (fake or not) and didn't tell her. She probably already knows, though. Maybe she is reading about the occult and stuff because she wants to help him find a way to disprove Shawn? I kind of like the idea of her believing in psychics though. Seems to have more comedic potential to me. Kind of like a reversal of the episode last season when Henry was hanging out with Lassiter.
