By now, we all know about the problems with the season 3 dvds. I have the corrected set, too. But I do have a question. If, for some reason ; scratches, crack, break, etc., my discs become unusable, would the season 3 sets in the stores be correct version or the same "white-lined" versions ? You know, just in case I have to buy a new set. Any ideas ?

Allegedly not all of it. (and no, it wasn't just you) Lionsgate kept saying that the white lines only appeared on certain models of DVD players, but as more people complained, they kept lengthening the list ... is there anyone out there who got a bad set and received a good replacement?

I got a defective set that was exchanged by Barnes & Noble. After having also exchanged Season 2 with them and having to run through every Season 2 episode to check the new set, I didn't feel up to doing that with Season 3. I still haven't watched it. I guess if that copy has "white line disease," I'll have to make a frame for the TV set ...

I got a defective set that I ordered from the US...but to be truthful the white lines really don't disturb or distracked me, in fact I didn't even notice they were there until I read about them on the Net and after that I did notice them, but now if I watch the DVD set again, once again they really are not that obvious. So not a big deal for me and certainly no reason for me to go order another one from the US with the risk of just getting another whiteliner.

I've never noticed any problems with mine. I live in the US and purchased mine maybe a year ago?

I got flickering blue lines. Someone on this board gave me an E-mail address and I bought my DVD set of the third season *last year*. I received a replacement set of discs in the mail a few weeks later.

I was *astonished* that they didn't recall the lot and that the defective third season was still on the shelves.
