Seriously... can we discuss, with the zeal that one would discuss a soap-opera, the apparent "spark" between Tom and Megan that was presented this week.

I know it's a bit of "drama" but for some reason I think this is the "juiciest" potential relationship yet. I dunno why but it just intrigues me.

When you think about it, Megan's kinda hot (I mean not vision-girl Cassie hot but still hot). Tom wouldn't be doing too bad there... but I'm sure others disagree .

Shoot, Olandir, where you been? There's been sparks betwixt Tom and Megan since she showed up!

I completely disagree. I haven't seen anything before tonight that seemed anything like a spark! There's been compassion (around Alana's disappearance, and Megan's ill father) but I haven't seen anything at all that felt or looked like a romantic thing. Then Diana mentions something to Tom and suddenly.... Bah!

But I can have blinders on coz I don't like Megan.

Can you give examples to those of us who haven't noticed. I'm interesting in seeing what you're talking about because I really haven't noticed anything until Diana said something.

I really can't, Olandir. There was just something in the way they looked at each other from the moment they met. Am I the only one who likes Megan? Maybe I was seeing something more, because I wasn't determined to see her as evil, stupid, marked, or blonde?

I just can't define it, Olandir, but the first time Megan and Tom met, he smiled at her a little and my son and me just laughed and said they like each other. It will be interesting to see where it goes.

LOL. I was watching "Rock of Love" on VH1 and almost missed Megan rubbing (or caressing) Tom's back.
She's using her authority to sexually harass the man If he turns her down, she could fire him.
If he bends to her will, she could still fire him if he fails to please her. The poor man is between a rock and a hard place. (I'm kidding)

Is something there? I gotta be honest here, I just don't give a flip. I feel like this is being forced. Are the diehard 4400 fans so upset by Tom not having a girlfriend for a season? He didn't have a girlfriend season 1 and it didn't feel like anything was missing. I mean he's kinda busy, right? I still miss Jarvis. She was a bad-ass.

I second that opinion, scifilaker. Unfortunately, it seems that Tom has become the James Bond of 4400. It doesn't matter which season, Tom always seems to have either a love-interest or wife. Still, I don't see any problem with that, it's just so predictable. On a positive note though, if Tom and Meghan's love do develop, then the scriptwriters should bring in that Psychologist/stress-relieving woman and bring back Alana. Then the three would all fight for Tom while he's putting all of effort on getting Kyle back. Wouldn't that be a funny scene?

I do not know about Tom but Meghan has been making a play for Tom on day one. It is not what she says but how she saying things that gave me this impression.

LOL well a sexual harrassment storyline could be interesting, but I'd rather see Tom's storyline go in other directions. *ahem*

Agree on all points. He definitely doesn't need a love interest right now, his storyline is jammed pack. I really have no problem with him having a GF if it made sense and wasn't forced.

I have seen and I haven't seen the spark.

The first ep. in the season when tey meet - perhaps yes they were checking each other out.
Perhaps yes - when Meghan was down because of her father and they had a little wine talk - perhaps yes they connected a little.
And I was actually kind of waiting for some kind of romance between them.

But then we had last weeks episode - and I totally changed my mind.

She did something really bad to Tom - by passing on his mail.
She was the reason why he got marked. Megahan was the reason - no other.

And I thought that after that Tom would resent her. That was the impression that I got last week.
But this week - well she was like all over him - and they were about to kiss when Marco walked in.
I think that it is kind of fishy - her being the reason for him being marked and then being all over him.

So really this is what I think is going on.
I think that Meghan is marked - and now Tom is too.
And I think that eventhough he is on standby - the mark is starting to develope - and he can't focus his mind and because of this Meghan is able to manipulate him - slowly ofcourse - but as part of a bigger picture.
So by making him fall in love with her - he will be even more vulnerable - and when time has come - he can become a marked in a snap.

But ofcourse someone will come along and save Tom from becomming a bad marked - and when I think about it - it makes sense for the story line if Meghan dies.
If she is out of the picture - perhaps Tom will fight the Marked developement and seek the help he needs to become clean again ( a P shot perhaps - who knows)

Yes, I thouht so too. I wonder if Megan has another agenda though and any relationship with Tom would bring her over to the right side? Also, does it look like she dies in the next episode? Wouldn't that just be Tom's luck!

Yeah, but poor Tom had had one crap-shoot after another. I'd make a list, but my hand might cramp. I say give him a gal! I may not have sensed immediate sparks, but I definately felt some sort of chemistry (are those the same thing? Cause that might explain why I'm oblivious to romance).

My opinion: I think Tom and Diana will eventually get together, instead of Megan. I could see Diana not liking Megan because of this.

I did see it between Richard and Lily.

I see more chemistry between Tom and Diana than anyone one else.

I just don't see Megan and Tom but maybe that's just cause i don't trust her. That said, he is a guy, and probably is lonley. I'm in rare, im tired so my "filters" are off mode. LOL I just finished my 7th day of working in a row and have 4 more to go before day off--so I'm saying what comes to mind.

Ok, remember at the last ebisode "Till we have built Jerusalem"( by the way a wonderful episode, one of the best ) First Tom was by Diana for a dinner *swarm* Diana's question to Tom: " What do you think about Meghan?" Yeah, she remark Meghan is interested at Tom! (he was shocked. I've seen this)
Diana had a big smile on her face as she ask the question. I think she is a little bit jealous of Meghan^^

I don't like anything about her. I don't think she is smart enough for her job. She is not right for Tom. And for the record, I didn't like Alana either. I'd like to see Tom and Diana together. They have chemistry together.
